"Make no mistake I will not do this again when he dies his soul will be mine forever." Lady Death said when she took the things back before bringing Tony back to life. The ghost of Tony has turned solid and his old body disappeared. "Enjoy your second life Anthony Edward Stark and I'll be back for you and Virginia Potts soon." She said before closing the portal and disappeared in an explosion of black hell fire that took the shape of a skull. Returning to her home in hell where she belonged having failed to tell them that Darkseid wasn't truly dead he wasn't truly alive either she couldn't really kill him for he had become immune to true death.

Pepper took in a deep breath, her emotion draining away to replaced with heavy, painful weight on her shoulders. Though Nemesis had traded her soul for Tony's, it seemed Lady Death had heard Pepper's offer as well. She watched Tony come back to life as Lady Death left, and wondered if the sacrifice she had just made was worth it.
Tony grew real and solid before her, and her heart skipped a beat and her eyes flooded with relieved tears. She reined them in - barely. Her arms fell to her sides, the sword impossibly heavy, but she held on to it as she glanced around the room. Purgatori had dodged the wave, Nemesis still alive, Darkseid giant and quiet, and Watz and Ohnn nearby. And Tony...alive...before her.
Don't. Not yet. We are not out of danger.
She opened her mouth to speak but no sound came out. She closed it, swallowed, and tried again. She wanted to say look at me. Look what I have. She wanted to say I did this for you... though in the end she hadn't done anything but offer her soul as part of a double deal. She wanted to tell him if he EVER left her like that again she'd kill him herself.
But all she could say was: "We still need to get the hell out of here. Nemesis? Spot?"

Spot jumped outside of a newly formed portal, and stood mere feet away from Ms. Potts. "So, it's already over? That was rather short." ~Kind of boring, really.~ The thief thought to himself. "So, will we be on our way?" He asked Pepper plainly.

Echo hardly had time to land after attacking Darkseid before leaping into the air and hovering up by the ceiling to avoid Lady Death's wave. "Son of a...!" He exclaimed as he looked down at the woman. He was pretty close to soaring down and slashing her in half when he saw what she did to Stark, but suddenly Nemesis took action. ~Well...didn't see that one coming.~ He thought as he listened to Nemesis & Lady Death talk to each other. Once everything was said and done he landed a couple yards away from Pepper, just about the time Spot reappeared. "Is it just me, or did this all seem a little too easy?" He asked as he looked from Spot to Pepper.

Tony ignored everyone around him as he made his way over to Pepper looking her in the eye "Hmmm. Your eyes are red. Tears for your long lost boss?" He asked with a smirk before he put an arm around Pepper "Pepper's right lets get the hell out of here I'm starving and I really would like to take a shower." He said finally looking at the ones who where left. "By the way who was that white skinned woman?" He asked having no idea what happened after his soul had been removed from his body. But had seen her being brought in by Purgatori.

Nemesis was about to answer Pepper when she was cut off by mother box's pinging coming from her right arm where she had placed the box. "Mother box said Darkseid's not really dead the body over there is just an empty shell he has become immune to true death." She said as mother box pinged again before opening a boom tube "So he's most likely in hiding someplace or something." She said with a shrug "No threat now for the time being anyways. And to answer your question Tony that was Death you know the end of everything? She shows up just before you die to take your soul to its final resting place." She said as she looked at her hand seeing as the stab wound had been healed by mother box "All right kids everyone out of the pool." She said before heading into the boom tube.

Echo said nothing more, he just looked to what they had all thought was Darkseid, and exhaled with frustration. He had rather hoped to fight the so-called "god", and put an end to him once and for all before he could bring any more harm to anyone. After putting his saber away he turned toward the boom tube, and jumped in with The Spot following close behind.

Pepper had no comeback. Tony's arm went around her and she had nothing to say, except a shiver. Her lips trembled and for a second she actually felt as though she might just collapse right there. But the pinging alerted her, the portals, the boomtube, and it rallied her insides just enough to take Tony's hand, squeeze it once, and then move for the boomtube. She kept her hand firmly in his however, trying to pull him along. She wasn't letting go of him until they were out of this place.
Tony asked a question, but Pepper had no reply. There were a lot of white-skinned women around. One of them happened to be her, pulling on his hand, her sword in the other.

Tony was about to say something about Darksied and Lady Death but he felt himself being dragged off by Pepper towards the boom tube "Um. . .Thanks whoever you are." He said to Nemesis before he was pulled into the tube that took them back to earth. Stepping out of the boom tube he looked around wondering where he was at and noticed they were in New York city again. Near a Burger King he was about to go with Pepper when his stomach reminded him he hadn't eaten well in a very long time. "Hey Pepper do you think you can let go of me long enough to get something to eat? I'm starving here." He asked looking at her.

The middle of New York City was the last place Pepper had wanted to show up...especially looking as she did. For once, Tony seemed to be in normal clothing and she was the one in a skintight silver suit with a diamond over her chest, her long hair in a ponytail, and a giant sword in one hand. This created a problem, because Tony wanted to go eat, and Pepper wasn't sure that walking into Burger King with a sword was going to go over too well. But she was not letting Tony out of her sight if she could help it...except in this case she had to.
"Okay," she said, letting go of his arm and walking into Burger King. As predicted, a few of the patrons stared as she walked in, but she angled right swiftly before any of the employees saw her and walked into the bathroom. Where she proceeded to lock herself in a stall and break down into tears.
How long she stayed in there she didn't know. She heard a couple of people walk in and ask her if she was all right, to which she hiccuped "Fine," and went right back to crying. She stood the sword up in a corner so it wouldn't be seen, grabbed a handful of tissues, and allowed herself to go to pieces, pouring out the emotion she hadn't allowed herself to feel all during the showdown.
When she finally emerged, she was devoid of makeup and her eyes were indeed very red. She had hidden the sword and would retrieve it later. She walked up, ordered food, and then went to sit with Tony.
"Thank you for not making me look for another job," she tried to say, but her throat closed and she began to eat instead.
