Rescue Plans (open)

[Dick Grayson]

The room hadn't been used in over a year, and it was slightly obvious when Dick peered around inside. It gave off an air of abandonment and inactivity. It was the Justice League conference room, and Nightwing had just opened it. He had spotted Trenton and Pepper on camera in Keystone, and knew that some action must be taken.

The young and overwhelmed man had called all to the conference room to discuss two matters. First, who would go on a rescue mission for Pepper and Stark, and secondly how the group was going to handle the pending persecution.

He could only hope that people would follow his lead, though he was a great leader there were those who were understandably untrusting of his and questioned his intentions. Still, he had to move on with all that had gathered here today.

He took a seat at the head of the table and tried his best to look cool, calm and collected as he waited for others to arrive and plans to be made.

[Starfire]

Kory had been walking around the base, peeking into different rooms out of curiousity. However, her mindless wandering had stopped when she saw a familiar man in what appeared to be a conference room. Kory reconized the man immediately, having been a Titan before. "Hello," she greeted, putting on a smile that was common to the young tameranean princess's face.

Kory wondered what he could be doing in the conference room of the base, but remembered what was going on around her. "Are you setting up a meeting about the kidnapping?" Kory asked, not hiding her intentions like normal people usually would. Gwen was in pain over the kidnapping, so Kory would try to do something about it to make her new friend happy again.

Her thoughts were far away from the kidnapping though, and more on her acceptance as a Titan member. She had been accepted by Raven as a Titan Member, but wondered if Dick would still accept her. Taking a small, unnoticeable breath, hopefully, she walked and sat in a seat one away from his. Kory still trusted Nightwing even after their long separation, she had never known him not to be a great leader.

Plus, she had to at least try to take a few of his responsibilities off of his shoulders to help him cope, like Raven had told her earlier. It was not good for her friend to shoulder so much, not good at all. On the outside, Kory gave another happy smile, waiting for more people to come. It was amazing that even in the face of trouble, she could still walk around trying to cheer people up.

[Dick Grayson]

Dick had been staring at the brightly varnished table when he heard a very familiar voice. He drew his eyes up to meet a smiling Starfire. He couldn't help but smile himself as his eyes met her bright green ones.

"Hello Kory", he said with yet another quick flash of a smile as she began to walk further into the cold room. "Yes, I'm trying to get something done..", he added his last few words with a sad tone.

He stared back down at the varnished table and then at his blue and black gloved hands. He was worried that his efforts might not be enough. Kory sat near him and he looked up at her with a faltering look. He was worried and was trying in vain to hide it. He had to take control of his hot headed ways, and was trying to be more collected.

"I'm glad you're here..", he said softly as he looked over at the woman.

[Jubilee]

"Great, more mushy stuff, I was told you might need some help, so, here I am." Jubilee had snuck into the room and watched the odd dance going on between Starfire and Nightwing, she found such stuff funny, watching Logan dance around Ororo, or Jean her entire stay at Xavier's. She leaned against the wall and started to blow a bubble with her gum, she never really knew why she did this, oh well.

She looked around, taking everything in. Looking for escape routes, possible entry points, and she tried to read both people in the room with her. Logan had taught her a little about reading body language, but she wasn't really good at it, and was going to practice, a little.

[Starfire]

"I'm glad," Kory responded, her smile brightening as she knew that he was glad to see her. She had been afraid of him rejecting her presence after she left the Teen Titans to try and live a normal life. However, all of those unsure thoughts fell away at those words that Dick said. She was going to move into another chair that was closer to her friend when a voice sounded out against the silence that had come up as sudden as a gust of wind.

"Great, more mushy stuff, I was told you might need some help, so, here I am."

Starfire gave a warm smile and a small laugh, waving towards the new person in the room. "Welcome, new friend!" she said, glad to have met a new person. Kory seemed to completely ignore the younger girl's distaste for "mushy stuff", probably thinking that it was just mashed potatoes or another type of food that she hadn't discovered yet. Despite her carefree appearance, though, Starfire looked at Nightwing worriedly once or twice during those few seconds, hoping that he was okay. She was going to have to speak to him after the meeting, she decided.

[Spiderman]

Pete swung in from a long way away. He had seen the call on the avengers computer. Jarvis had told him as well. But he didn't like talking to that new weird Jarvis it was...weird...

Pete Walked into the place it was strange place, Whereas Avengers HQ had all the high tech Gadgetry Tony Stark could poke a stick at, this place seemed to suit the purpose a little more. Which to Peter Was alot better. Making sure the costume was on fully he walked into the room, he only recognized one person. Being Jubilee, wasn't she like, Logans Sidekick or something "Something call for a Webslinger?" Pete asked as he leaned against a wall.

[Shockwave]

Why am I doing this?

Gwen Stratford didn't want to see Dick Grayson right now. The young hero was fighting outside the room, trying to think of another way to assess the situation. To fix it. To fix everything. Gwen knew that this meeting was for those who wanted to save Virginia and Stark. And she strongly doubted that anyone wanted to save Pepper more than she did. Leaning up against the wall outside, Shockwave took in a deep breath and winced her eyes, attempting to lock her negative energy inside her body. No one needed her complaints right now, even if Nightwing's lover had taken her cousin away. There's no possible way that Dick would ever affiliate with someone he knew so little, right?

Or maybe you don't know him at all. Gwen told herself. The only thing that could hang from her mind was the thought of betrayal. The same hurt that came from her graduation. It was just a constant tune on loop. Again with the fighting with her fingers and crossing her toes inside her shoes. Hey, Shockwave pulled her dull gaze up at the wall before her and continued to talk to herself. Starfire is in there, trying to make things better for you, of all people. Pick up your slack and get into the room!

Gwen held her breath as the cool doorknob send shivers down her spine, nearly warning her away from the meeting. Yet, she entered the room red-faced with her arms crossed over her chest-- protecting herself. Her grey eyes absorbed the other few that were in the room, and looking to Starfire, Gwen smiled weakly. This would be okay. This would be easy. The scarlet-haired woman took the seat across from Nightwing, and she kept her eyes on the table where her hands rubbed each other between her thighs.

Suddenly, Shockwave's mind cleared and she saw a new face in the room. The young woman leaned up against the wall, and Gwen sent a smile to her as well. "Hey." Gwen said to her from her chair; her voice sounded as if she were sick. This was a horrible feeling. Get yourself together. Gwen said to herself, and a new expression flooded over her fine features. She needed to save Virginia.

Dick watched as Gwen entered the room, and she was quite visibly upset. He sighed and looked from Starfire to Shockwave, not sure what to say at the moment. He felt uncomfortable under the heated gaze of his former student. Oh, she hated him with a heat that could ignite the room.

"I haven't heard from Pepper or Stark, though I did hear that Flash had been on some kind of a rescue attempt I have yet to find out what happened down there...I'm awaiting his arrival..."

Nightwing finally addressed the newcomers. "Spiderman..Jubilee", he said being only vaguely familiar with either of them. He extended his arm and invited them to have a seat.

"And even if Flash did save our missing friends", he said leaning forward suddenly. "These people need to be dealt with, and harshly. They endangered more lives than some of you may realize...", he said in a softer tone. They had sent the Untouchables meetings into chaos, and postponed everything. How many would be hurt because of their selfish actions and Dick Graysons idiotic decision.

[Jubilee]

Jubilee smiled at Starfire and said "Hey, I am Jubilee. Oh, and hiya web-head, long time to see." She looked around and listened to what the people were saying. She hated people getting hurt, but she disliked those that did the hurting. "Well then, let's bring them pain, that and bright lights." She said the latter as an after thought, she was still a little wary of her power hurting people, but was slowly getting over it.

She heard several names she didn't have faces for "Ok, who or what is Flash. I have been out of the hero circle for a while, and it seems a new hero pops up out of the woodwork every hour." She said walking over and sitting next to Spiderman, at least she knew him.

[Spiderman]

Pete Squinted his eyes he felt a little bit uncomfortably. This was a weird situation. He was with this whole other situation. But heck he was here for one reason. And that was to save Pepper and Tony.

Tony had more than once gone out on a limb to help Peter more than once. And it was his turn to help. Sitting down in the chair he leaned back on it and placed his arms behind his back "I heard a rumour that deadpool is involved with him, is it possible that i can be the one to harm him...please?" Pete proceeded to lean and simply to listen to what was going down

[Starfire]

Starfire waved at the people that arrived after Jubilee, saying to Jubilee really quickly, "Hello, Jubilee, my name is Starfire." Starfire noticed Gwen's upset expression and became concerned about Gwen and how she was coping with what was going on. She turned her attention over to Dick, and listened to what he had to say. Starfire didn't know who Flash was, but hoped that the rescue mission would be a success and that the two missing people would be here soon.

She kept on listening to what Dick was saying, turning her head to the responses that he got from the other supers. Personally, Kory agreed about the fact that the people who had done this needed to be punished for their actions. "They need to be punished for what harm they have caused those two people and others who were affected," Kory agreed outloud and very boldly, voicing her opinion like a Tameranean would. The reason why the Tameranean was were was not because of the actual kidnapping itself, but because she wanted to help both Dick and Gwen be happier and not so stressed or angry.

[Pepper]

Pepper had accepted the hot dog Flash gave her, then taken off quickly walking around the Watchtower. They'd been beamed aboard and she could tell they were in space - but now was not the immediate time to go looking. First and foremost she had to find Dick Grayson and dump everything that had just happened.

She was a little worse for wear. Her strawberry blonde hair was matted and tangled. She had a number of bruises - one on her back and a few on her arms - from her attack on Deathstroke. Her right ankle had twisted at some point and it still throbbed. And she looked generally disheveled and tired. But she held her head high and only walked with a slight limp as she followed the voices through the Watchtower.

As she walked she found her mind turning from Tony for a second to Jarvis. And her purse. While Jarvis was downloaded to the lockchips in her purse, she realized she and Tony had bolted and left him down there. They'd both completely forgotten about him! A sick wave of guilt washed over her, and she resolved silently to find a way to get to him. Because if the wrong people did, they would be in trouble.

She half-stumbled into a large room and looked up to see a number of people. Dick, Spiderman, Gwen, and a Tameranean she didn't know. Closing her eyes in relief, she sighed. "Deathstroke. Deadpool. Sophia Trenton. And Jonathan Ohnn."

Bracing herself against the doorway, she added: "The Flash grabbed me off of the roof before I could see, but Deathstroke's daughter and Tony attacked them on the roof of a building...I don't know which one, it's east of Trenton's apartment." The words poured out of her. "They wanted money - ransom money. They were going to get it for me from Tony, but Deathstroke got Tony too. Then Trenton got me away and called my parents and told them to pay up ten million. Jonathan said they'd do the same thing to Stark Industries. But...where's my purse? I gave it to Tony, where is it?"

And just like that she stopped talking and a tear broke loose from her eye and trickled down her cheek. After a couple of seconds she frantically reached for her handkerchief - and remembered it was in her suit back at the apartment.

So she cried without it.

Dick was more than surprised when the previously missing Pepper Potts burst into the room. Flash must have gotten her, it was the only real explanation. He listened intently as the woman frantically explained everything that had happened. She did have a head on her shoulders.

He stood up and made his way across the room, to the now crying woman. "It's okay...", he offered in as comforting a tone as possible. His fears were confirmed and his former friend was now his enemy, that would be hard enough to deal with.

"Where is Tony?", Dick pondered as he looked directly at her. He peered back at the group and then sighed. "We're going to have our justice", he said in a confirming tone, a harsh tone. "We're going to take care of everything", he said with a quick look back at Pepper.

"Who is going to Keystone with me?"

[Starfire]

Kory watched as Pepper came into the room and started to tell what had happened to her. The woman started crying and that made the young Tameranean want to go and comfort the woman. Kory even got part-way out of her seat to do so until Dick got up and comforted her. She sat back down, confident that Pepper did not need comforting from her when Dick did the job nicely.

Kory, immediately after he asked who was going to go with him, responded with a determined tone, "I will." She figured that she could be of some help even with her fighting abilities not being as good as they were right before she quit being a Titan. Kory waited for others to voice whether or not they were going to go, looking determined and more like the Starfire that had left the Titans than the one that had come back after her life had fallen apart.

[Ravager]

"Maybe you should hold off on doing all that." A voice said from behind Pepper and Dick it was Ravager she had just gotten back from Keystone and the party that was going on there "Just about everyone split again. Superboy and Iron Man should be here soon unless that fruit loop Deadpool is still trying to put up a fight." She said taking her mask off with one hand and taking out a disk with the other and tossed it at Dick "I'm sure Oracle will have fun going threw all of Slade's files." She said as she ran a hand threw her long white hair she hated mask hair it was just as bad as helmet hair if not worst.
