Rescue Plans (open)

Raven stood behind Starfire and Gwen's chairs in silence, watching the affair. When Dick asked who would go with him to Keystone she started to say

"I wil-" But was cut off when a very familliar voice came from the other side of the room. Ravager.

the dark Azarathian automatically tensed when she saw the woman, Deathstrokes daughter had changed sides often in the past and Raven - who had trust issues to begin with - had never been sure of what to think of the woman warrior.

However, at Rose's words and the disk she produced Raven loosed up a little. Confused as she was, things seemed to be working out. For now.

[Pepper]

Pepper accepted Dick's comfort, but when he asked about Tony she took a deep breath and struggled to pull it together. "I...he was f-fighting Deadpool..." Dick began to talk again, aware that Pepper wasn't properly able to divulge anything and Pepper went back to crying. She wasn't crying because she was scared. Or...well she was. She cried because she had been helpless and unable to do anything but ruffle their feathers. And because she had been furious. Emotion overload.

She was truly struggling to pull her tears back and so when Ravager burst into the room she looked up. Tony was coming? Deathstroke hadn't gotten him? A smile burst over face even as tears ran down it, and she wiped at them frantically. She stared as the woman pulled off her mask to reveal beautiful features, an eyepatch, and the most beautiful white hair Pepper had ever seen. Beginning to straighten up and regain control, she said: "You gave me quite a scare with that knife. But thank you."

[Batgirl]

Just as Batgirl walked into the conference room she saw Pepper and Ravager speaking to each other. Her first thought was "You!You tried to kill me several years ago!![/color]Fortunately, her saner side prevailed and she then thought, "If Dick wanted you here, then I guess I have no reason to still hate you for what you attempted to do to me years ago."[/color] She then said to Pepper and to the room at large"I really don't trust Ms. Trenton or any of the people who kidnapped Pepper or Mr. Stark, so I also want in on whatever it is you've come up with as far as rescue plans."[/color]

[Ravager]

"Its part of being undercover Pepper I have to play my part even if I am being mean to a nice person like you." Rose said before looking over at Raven "Even after saving your life from Bombshell you still don't trust me?" She said after she noticed she had tensed "Next time someone is chasing you around the world trying to kill you I'll stay at the tower and let you handle it by yourself." She said getting angry she hated that everyone still treated her like she was about to turn on them any minuet. It seemed like Kid Devil and Nightwing where the only ones who trusted her after all he did train her and wanted her with the other Teen Titan's. Rose looked over at Batgirl "Wow you just figured that out all by yourself? I guess you can't expect a whole lot from someone slow like you." She said getting ready to leave she had enough of being around these guys "Let me know when you learn to tie your shoes." She said to Batgirl before leaving.

[Spiderman]

Pete was still leaning against a wall watching this all unfold. this was...this was odd. all these heroes, he had no idea who most of these were. Heck he only really knew jubilee. and he didnt even know her much in any case.

Crossing his arms he looked over them Jeez they had more problems then the avengers, and that was saying alot. Pete walked in the middle of it "You got yourself a webslinger, Dick? do i have to call you dick?" he looked around "So we gonna discuss eyepatches all day, or are we gonna save iron man"

[Dick Grayson]

Dick was more than ready to rip a hole in Keystone, feeling quite furious at the moment. He gave a quick approving nod to Starfire as she answered him. She was always willing to accompany him on a mission, something he valued greatly. He turned to face the others to see what other kind of support he could rum up when he heard an all too familiar voice. He turned quickly on his heel to face Ravager. The two of them had a somewhat tempestuous relationship, and he had even trained her. She was always full of surprises, and today was no exception.

He caught the disk and carefully put it away on his persons, and then looked back up at Ravager. "Nick of time, like always, hm?", he said with a small grin. He had a little more faith in the woman than his teammates might.

He shot a look of sympathy over to Pepper and tried his best to sound genuine when he assured her they would be dealt with. He looked back at Rose. "You've been a big help, Ravager, I'll still be going to Keystone to try and track down at least one of these idiots..."

He was still a little livid about the whole situation. "They need to be thrown in Iron Heights", he said referring to the superhuman prison. He and his team mates had managed to put away more than a few supervillains and rogues, and he wanted today to be no exception. "They're powerful though...", he added as a quick after thought. He would need all the help he could get taking down anyone of them.

"Blue Beetle and Oracle can take charge of the watchtower and begin the meeting about the war crimes", he said in a hurry. "I'm getting out of here, sooner the better, if you're with me come along." On his way out he slipped out the disk and handed it to Pepper. "This'll help get Deathstroke bad..give it to Blue Beetle or Oracle, please, they are nearby. We're all glad you're okay..", he finished his words and slipped out of the room in silence.

Raven bowed her head at Ravanger's words. The woman was right and Raven knew it. Rose had saved her life, and now apparantly pepper's as well, and Raven knew only too well what it was like to not be trusted for past mistakes. However, before she had the chance to say anything, the white haired warrior spun and left the room in anger.

Dick left the room and Raven stayed where she was, however, she could feel in the back of her mind anger building up. For once she didn't put all her force into supressing it, she wanted to feel her anger, and to make others feel it as well. Her fury, she - and these people around her - had done nothing to deserve this, and somebody was going to pay!

Spinnning on her heels, Raven swept out of the room without a word to anybody, concentrating only on her next move. She had to get out of here first, talking wasn't going to solve anything, but she knew those who would help her do things the right way.

[Starfire]

Kory felt some sympathy for the angry white-haired woman. She didn't know exactly what it was like to be mistrusted like Ravanger obviously was, but she tried too. Kory brought her attention to the reactions in the room, looking at everyone's faces. The one that caught her attention the most was Raven's, who looked really angry about something. After both Nightwing and Raven had left, Kory got up out of her seat to follow them out since she had volunteered to go with them.

Nodding her head politely to the others in the room, and putting a smile on her face she walked out of the room. Right before she left, she looked back over her shoulder and gave a small goodbye wave, saying, "See you all later." A hard battle would be infront of her she was pretty sure, but she had to do something to help, after all she was a powerful alien, rusty in fighting or not. Also, she was a Titan again, and the Titans had always helped others- at least when she had been there. "Let's go," Kory said out loud to herself, going swiftly over to where they were going to take off to go help.

[Shockwave]

Whilst trapped inside her mind, Gwen sat at the table, resting her forehead on her arm. She kept her head down as others entered the room and spoke about going to Keystone in order to pay back those who had taken Virginia. Gwen seriously wanted to join them, but she had nearly no experience fighting. She'd only get in the way. Opening her dull, grey eyes and watched her hands below the table. It was those hands that made her powerful. It was those hands that made her powerless. Shockwave could only think about the cold table sending shivers down her spine as her arms lay on it. She really didn't like this new costume.

At the sound of a familiar, missed voice, Gwen's head shot upwards, sending her scarlet locks flying around her pale features. She turned around to see her cousin, safe and sound, yet her face was veiled in a worry. Was Stark okay? Flying from her chair, she ran to Pepper and immediately threw her arms around her. "Oh my god." She whispered beneath her breath in relief. "Are you okay? What happened?!" Gwen asked quickly as she took a step back to leave her cousin some air, as it was obvious she was close to tears. I was so freaking worried about you, Vee. Gwen muttered within her mind as she clenched her fist.

She knew it now, whether Gwen had the skill or not, she was going to make this woman pay. It didn't matter whether Dick was in love with her or not-- now this was purely revenge. Shockwave never, ever imagined herself taking part in something that was ill conceived. She should be staying back to help Pepper. Her expression lacing both relief and anger, Gwen turned around, knowing that Virginia would understand. Something had to be done. Eagerly, she followed Starfire from the room to Keystone, where she would help take down the woman who took Pepper.

[Iron Man]

As soon as they appeared at the tower Iron Man freed himself from Superboy. "Why did you do that?" He asked in an angry tone he wasn't done with the others "How do I get back down there?" He asked looking around trying to get the thing working again. "Hey man Pepper's here and she doesn't sound ok." Flash said walking in and over to the two "What do you mean?" Tony asked as he took off his helmet ignoring the pain in his side "Not really sure but she's crying maybe she thinks your dead or something." Flash said with a shrug. Tony walked passed the two and out into the hall then stepped back in "Which way?" He asked not knowing where Pepper was at. "That way can't miss it." Flash said as he pointed the way out. "Thanks." He said before heading off again. "Dude your forehead is bleeding." Flash called out after Tony as he walked off.

It didn't take him long to find the place where everyone was at as soon as he spotted Pepper he made his way towards her placing his helmet on the table and wiped the blood off his forehead leave it to Deathstroke to be a dirty fighter. he thought. "Pepper are you alright?" He asked worried that she might have gotten hurt.

[Pepper]

[is it possible for a non superhero to have a nemesis? Cause I think Pepper just got one]

Pepper accepted the disk and looked down at it in her hands. Such a tiny thing, but it had the potential to bring the one man she hated more than anything to his knees. She knew Deathstroke was a villain - on principle Pepper disliked anyone who tried to kill Tony - but this was one time too many. He had used Tony, had hurt him, had made him doubt his very purpose. His insides - his mind, his heart, oh he had one much as the world tried to deny it - had taken a beating and Pepper could not and would not forgive that. Her hand clenched over the disk and she rose to her feet, drying her eyes and ready to Oracle or the Blue Beetle. Maybe Ted first. She knew him, he knew. And he would be easier to convince. Pepper was getting a copy of all that data about Deathstroke or she was taking notes on it. She wanted her own focus so if she saw Deathstroke again, she would know his weaknesses. And make him pay.

She spun around then as she heard Gwen's voice and suddenly her baby cousin had her wrapped up in a hug. Pepper buried her face in Gwen's shoulder and Gwen pulled away, clearly sensing Pepper's tumbling emotions. Pepper opened her mouth to ask Gwen about her purse, but the redhead suddenly turned and stalked off after the others. Pepper blinked as she realized Gwen's intentions and she nodded slowly. She also noticed Gwen didn't have her purse. Did that mean Tony still had it? Where was it?

And then from behind her came the last voice she expected to hear. "Tony!" she said, only the word came out as half a shout and half a sob. She spun around and took a step towards him, lifting her arms to hug him...and remembered herself.

Her face was red and her eyes puffy. Her body had mild bruises on it, though he looked a little like a road map with all the cuts and bruises on his body. But he was alive, he wasn't Deathstroke's, and most importantly, he was here.

She lowered her arms very slowly and said shakily: "Is there any way I can get my purse back?"

[Jubilee]

Jubilee had no idea what was going on, she knew only a handful of the people here and was not too keen on all the sharp words and glances. "Well this is great, Nightwing, I will follow." She looked around at the others, this Ravager gave her the creeps, like X-23. She looked at Batgirl, and was reminded of Psylocke, who was cool, so she wasn't going to have a problem there. "Would it be possible for me to join this team? I am looking for something new, the X-Men are going through way too much, and don't have time for me at the moment."

She turned her palm towards the ceiling and started shooting off tiny pafs, that exploded with little noise and pretty colors. She was having a hankering for some action, being copped up and coddled wasn't her idea of a good time.

[Iron Man]

Tony watched as Pepper was about to hug him but stopped and put her arms back down that's when he stepped foreword and hugged her instead "See that wasn't so bad now was it?" He said jokingly before pulling away. "Your purse?" Tony repeated giving her a confused look then he remembered it had the lockchips in it "Ah..crap..maybe Gwen put it someplace safe this place is huge you know. You could get lost if you didn't know your way around." He said hoping the red head had brought Peppers purse. "If it's not here I'm I can get Bart to go and look for it." He said then looked at Pepper so he could tell her what he's been waiting to tell her for a long time. "I'm going to tell you this before someone kidnaps you or me again. Everything Slade said was true I am in love with you have been for a while now but something always seemed to get in the way of me telling you." He said feeling better now he had told her.

[Pepper]

Pepper froze soiid. Her eyes widened and her lips parted only slightly before she pressed them together and blinked very rapidly. She felt a rush of panic and something in the back of her mind began to shriek and cheer. She was pretty sure she was dangerously close to a faint. Just how many more shocks was she supposed to go through before the day was over? Everything Slade said was true.

Tell me you never think about that night.

"Tony," she said weakly, I really need my purse. I love you too. Stop talking nonsense. Have you lost your mind?, "I'm not just another conquest."

So why had her voice shook? Why couldn't she drum up the courage to tell him the same back? He knew it. He had to. She had gazed at him long enough, and he had seen her gazing long enough. Why was she being so defensive? I stood up for you, at the War Memorial. I love you, I always have.

And if you're saying this to me you damn well better mean it. You better be serious.

She reached out to him and laid her hands on his arms. She took a step towards him, drawn in. Tell me you never think about that night.

You damn well better be serious Tony because if not this is the worst thing you have ever done to me.

She didn't think she could handle it any other way.

[Iron Man]

"Your not I meant everything I said." Tony said as he looked Pepper in the eye so she would know he wasn't lying "I was thinking more along the lines of being long term then one night." He said as he went to take her hands in his "I know its a lot to take in after everything that had just happened with Slade and the others and that your a bit frazzled by it all I just hope you can deal with this if can't right now I'll be here waiting for you when your ready I wont rust you." He said not once looking away from her just so she knew he meant everything he just said.
