"Alright. Here's the deal. We hit town. We do this thing. And we get out. No staying around afterwards to buy souvenirs or bask in the glory." Cain looked around the bay of the x-jet at both Scott and Raven. The past few months had been hard on every mutant he knew but they three were the only ones that were going to actively do something about it today.
The autopilot beeped and confirmed that they were now over Central city. Cain wasn't sure why they had picked this particular area but to tell the truth he really didn't care. Pain was what this day was about. Unleashing vengeance on those that would do evil in the world. The same people that killed Charles.
The plane started its final decent and Cain unhooked his harness and stood up. He grabbed ahold of a supportin beam with one hand and slapped the big red OPEN button with the other. There was a soft click and the door slid to the left and a huge rush of air entered the cabin.
"Ready!" Cain yelled over the din.

Scott Summers was looking very grim that day, even more so then usual. Things had gone horribly wrong since that war, Jean, Xavier, and countless other heroes were dead, and ontop of that the goverment wanted their heads on a silver platter, but they kept fighting on anyways, because it was the only thing that they could do. He looked at Cain, who was telling them how this was all going down.
Cyclops wasn't the leader of this mission, he wasn't the leader of anything at that moment, he was an agent of vengance, not exactly the best thing to be, but Cyclops had resigned himself to it, quite easily infact. Things were looking dark, and not just for the mutant comunity, everyone's life was turning to crap, but he was going to make the bastards go down with him too, he wasn't going out in this shitty world alone.
"Ready." The response was automatic, he didn't even have to think about it. He had been preparing for this for a while now, and no way he wasn't going to not go through with it. He had a parachute set on his back, he wasn't going to jump off a plane without it. And of course he was dressed up in his X-Men suit, he couldn't go into battle without it.

Raven had sat in silence for most of the flight, lost in her thoughts and preparing herself for what she knew was coming. The fight was going to be bad, as bad as any she had partaken in during the war, parhaps worse. But even if the world chose to hate them, there were some things that had to be done anyway.
She told herself that she was doing this to destroy those who had killed so many of her friends, to save the people who didn't deserve to die, but at the same time she knew that she was selfishly hoping that her actions today would counteract the horrable things she had done during the War.
At Juggernaut's words, she stood up. Ready Cyclops answered his call, and Raven grunted and nodded. She wore her long cloak, hood pulled up high shrouding her face in shadow. She wore no parachute, she didn't need one.
Standing next to the hatch she looked at the two men before her, face showing nothing, not needing too. The same thing was going through all their minds, they were together in this.
"On your mark-"

The X-Jet chimed yet again and confirmed for Cain that they were at 3000 feet and holding in hover mode. He gave the other two a thumbs up and jumped out of the plane. Scott followed next and deployed his chute soon after. Raven soared gracefully out of the open door and began her slow decent to the ground. Of course, Cain being the heaviest object, he hit the ground first.
A huge dust and debris cloud went up when he hit the town square. The colossal sound wave that pushed out shattered glass and rocked vehicles of all shapes and sizes. He stepped from the small crater and lightly dusted himself off. Scott made a fairly nice landing about 50 feet from Cain's position and Raven gliding gently down near him.

Power is everything, Harry, but don't make the same mistakes I did. Wait for the opportune moment.
Mania. Alive. Power. Energy. Bloodlust. Harry Osborn licked his lips in anticipation and shivered on his Sky Stick. He kept to the shadows, hidden inside his armour. The wicked, maniacal laughing had carried him to this dark place where he waited for either Spiderman or some other hero goody-goody to happen across his path. ~Kitty's hungry for a mouse.~ He wasn't sure where the thought came from - it was oddly feminine and so a bit disturbing, but it didn't matter.
He was so ready to go. But he had to wait.
There's some major trouble there, Harry. Go for the weakest one first.
Three on one weren't really good odds either. But Harry wasn't doing the math. He wanted some blood, and if Peter wasn't around one of those would do just fine.

Chunks of concrete and asphalt preceded the dust cloud as it billowed outwards from the impact. Something large and heavy had struck the ground in the town square, only a few meters from the place where Sigma stood. One of the chunks of debris – a ragged chunk of concrete the size of a small car – flew directly at the black-suited figure. The madman cocked his head to one side and watched as the projectile hurtled towards him, not even blinking as it almost struck him. The fragmented paving had suddenly and inexplicably stopped in front of the energy-manipulator, as if it had suddenly been drained of all momentum. Sigma grunted absently, before casting the rubble aside.
He had been here for no more than a few hours, trawling the streets and back alleys, looking for homeless vagrants that nobody would miss. Whilst Sigma wasn’t a conventional vampire, he as perfectly capable of draining a person entirely of kinetic-thermal and chemical energy, turning them to a freeze dried, dusty corpse. Although the energy levels involved were relatively minor, he enjoyed the sick and twisted pleasure that seemed to flow through him as h literally sucked the life from others. He only picked vagrants out of obscure courtesy to the city’s residents.
Now though, something interesting was happening, and this something could prove to be far more satisfying than he could ever have expected. He sensed power here – power he would consume.
Sigma spread his arms and rose into the air, propelling himself upwards slowly and gracefully with a simple kinetic energy field. As he ascended, Sigma began to draw energy from the atmosphere around him. The air crackled and fizzed with power as it flowed into the supervillain, leaving the gas molecules almost entirely drained of energy, as still as death and approaching incredibly cold temperatures. The winds died and winter seemed to descend across the town square as freezing cold spread outwards from the black-clad Sigma. Frost and ice spread outwards in a rapidly growing circle as convection and conduction spread the chill.
Feeling sufficiently charged, Sigma looked down at the ground below him, watchin as the dust cleared. From a height of thee r so storeys, Sigma could see one oversized giant, a homosexual in black leather and some kind of caped creature. They all seemed wonderfully hostile, and he sensed their power
“Oh joy!” Sigma almost clapped his hands, before forming two energy projectiles and launching them at the largest member of the trio – the one at the centre of the impact crater.
The glowing, fiery green bolts buzzed and crackled as they flew through the air, ready to explode on contact – each with the force of a 30mm artillery shell. It was far from the best Sigma had to offer, but he was testing them. He wanted them to display their power, before he decided which one to devour first.

Raven gracefully landed in the town square, looking around, automatically preparing for a fight. She didn't have to wait long. In a flurry of action two men appered. The one who caught her attention was the one who appered to suck energy out of the air itself.
As if under a spell, ice grew underfoot and the air became freezing and dry as if it were the middle of winter. She tested the area for magic, but only found one source.
Before there was anytime to react, the man in the suit created to bolts of energy, headed straight for Juggernaut. Reacting on instinct, Raven called out,
"Stop!"
In an instant she closed the air around the two attacks, without any space they fizzled out and became no more. To her two comrads, Raven said,
"This is my area of expertise. I'll deal with this one."
Without waiting for an answer, the caped azarathian launched off the ground, landing softly behind this new force. Without bothering to be careful she sent a tiny part of her soul self into his mind.
sigma - oxford - energy - desire
But more than anything else she found in Sigma's mind the confused tangle of a madman. His power was extreme, but she knew his weakness. Her, a weakness she wanted to exploit more than anything else.
In the back of her mind a warning signal went off, Raven felt too much anger, battle lust. She was loosing herself in her emotions, but she didnt' care. She wanted to make these people pay, starting with this one.
Leaving his mind, the residue creating a splitting headache, she crouched down in attack position. Behind her a lamp post ripped itself out of the cement. Under her control, it flew up into the air, screaching horrible as she ripped it into two pieces, then - with only a fraction of her force - they went flying toward him from different angles. A test only, how much could this energy eater take?

(OOC: I am planning a battle with Dick, so this will be taking place afterwards)
Trenton was already battle weary when she happened upon another epic fight already in motion. She peered through the dust and debris and heard past the shouting. And there she saw Raven. A smile spread across her lips as she rushed to the young woman, soaring through the sky.
"What is the little birdy up to?", Trenton pondered out loud as she clutched the back of Ravens dark cloak and ripped it back, throttling the young heroine.
She smiled and flew upwards after her tiny little annoyance was served. She looked down at the battle members and then flew back down when she saw two men, who she recognized as X-Men or at least former X-Men. She swooped down at a high speed and landed deftly on her feet.
"Hello boys", she said with a small smile as she placed her hands on her hips and took a swift step forward.

((Aghhhhh, gak, gag, lol))
What is the little birdy up to? The voice came from above and a second too late Raven placed it. Trenton. Strong hands grabbed onto her cape and ripped back. Raven coughed, gasping for breath as the ties pulled tighter and tighter across her neck.
Then the mercenary let go and Raven could breath again.
"Traitor." The hooded woman spat at the former hero. Disgust was evident in Raven's voice, and was livid with anger. However, the brunette soared back into the air, landing to confront the two X-men.
Raven wished to fight Sophia, but turned back to Sigma, still fighting to keep her breath even. Slowly but surely, Raven was being lost and her emotions were taking over, but for now, the Azarathian didn't care. All she wanted was her revenge, to make somebody pay.

Doom's army needed members. A lot of members. Doom may have been a powerful man, but some Doombots and Maximillion wasn't going to be enough to conquer America. This was the very reason Maximillion was there that day. A battle was to ensue and that meant more villains to recruit.
He was armed with a pair of boots that gifted him flight and a set of gloves that fired shockwaves from it's fingertips. Zeke flew in, a few Doombots hiding behind several locations for back-up. He landed in a hidden location just outside the battle location, but soon walked in, wearing his black clothing and green shirt and pants with the gray cape, signifying his status as current Second-in-Command. He smiled as he saw the battle begin, after flying onto the top of a small building.

Cyclops watched as the villians started appearing, it definitly didn't take long, but their arrival had attracted alot of attention. Fortunately, all of the civillians in the area had run away, they didn't want to be caught in the middle of a battle of supers, and Cyclops couldn't blame them. He looked up at the first one to arrive, he didn't recognize him, but Cyclops knew that there were many villians that he hadn't encountered. Raven rised to the air to meet him, and Cyclops knew that she could handle him for now.
He turned at the next arrival, who he didn't recognize either, but it was obvious that she and Raven had bad history together, seeing the display that went on between the two. She landed infront of him and Cain, ready to fight both of them at once it seemed. But that wasn't the last one to appear, the last one landed on a rooftop, and Cyclops instantly knew that he was an enemy from what he was wearing.
"You take the man on the rooftop, I'll handle the one right here." He had pointed the postion of the man in green out to Cain, just to make sure that he knew what he was talking about. He turned his full attention on the woman, this battle was gonna get nasty. He wasted in no time, firing off his thought activitated visor, watching as a beam of red energy flew straight at the woman.

Yes! Lets do this! Cain thought as he spotted three individuals that apparently wanted to confront them. The guy flying in the green suit's shots had been somehow deflected by Raven and now another chick was messing with her and just landed. Cain roared a a challenge to no one in particular and smashed both fists on the ground. The wave radiated out and dissipated against several buildings.
"Gotcha!" He yelled to the x-man, "Let her have it one eye!" A glint of metal caught his eye and he spotted what looked like a man in a green shirt and cape walk into range and then fly to the top of a small building. Cain got a running start and jumped to the roof. He landed with a thump and began walking toward the man.
"Not that it matters but who are you?"

It was an undeniably odd sensation, and not one that he had ever experienced before. To feel as if there was someone else sharing the space in your head was not only deeply unsettling, but somehow oddly painful. Sigma concentrated hard, trying to see what this other presence was doing, what they wanted or were looking for. It didn’t do much good however, and the villain simply assumed the caped woman who had risen to challenge him was the source of this odd power.
She, much like that infernal Dr. Strange, would have to die. Nobody was more powerful than Sigma, and if they were they had to be erased – or absorbed.
As the metal projectiles struck the kinetic and EM fields around Sigma's boy, they did nothing more than transfer their own kinetic energy to him, for him to use on her in return. The vllain simply smiled behind his mask, wondering what she could hope to achieve in this manner. He could absorb entire stars before losing control of his power, and hoped for no more than the opportunity to devour every living soul who confroned him here today. Whoever this telepath was - possibly the woman - would have to die. He would not allow himself to suffer a defeat again.
As the presence withdrew from his mind it left him with a throbbing headache, and a sense of being violated. This was not going to be allowed to continue, and he wasn’t taking any chances. After finally confronting a man who could best him in combat, Sigma was not going to be beaten by a woman.
The black and green suited maniac continued to draw the energy from the atmosphere around him. Those about would feel the terrible cold soon enough, if they hadn’t already. As he did so, he added errant EM radiation – radio waves and such – and energy from the Earth’s own magnetic field to the energy stored within his body.
Feeling like a nuclear reactor, the crazed supervillain was about to strike when another woman accosted the being he was about to obliterate. Chaos immediately erupted within the square soon after, and Sigma almost lost sight of the blue caped mind-raider.
She was not so fortunate, however.
Recovering from the aches that plagued his mind and finally locating the woman, Sigma propelled himself towards her with the speed and accuracy of a missile. As he drew close enough, the energy-vampire began to throw hefty punches and kicks in her direction that would put superman to shame, laughing like a madman all the while.
He was unlimited power, and he would annihilate the others here once the woman-thing was either dead or sufficiently distracted.

Raven was still coughing a little, trying to get her breath back, when she felt a huge ammasing of energy behind her. Spinning around she took off into the air, flying until she was even with Sigma's head. The air around her grew even colder, ever dryer, as if the very life were being sucked out of it.
In the back of her head, Raven was starting to have doubts, maybe this time she had bit of more than she could chew? She may be powerful, but it was possible that in this man she had met her match, and the thought frightened her. Pushing it furiously to the back of her mind soon blind rage took control again.
Calculating what happened when her projectiles struck a force field of some kind, she decided that her enemy had absorbed the kinetic energy and was preparing that and the energy's from the earth to use in an attack.
She prepared herself for an attack, but wasn't prepared enough when he shot toward her through the air like some demented torpedo. A fist came seemingly out of nowhere and collided with her ribcage. Something snapped, but she ignored it, holding the pain to a tiny part of her mind where it wouldn't bother her.
Lying on the ground, from her hands sprung a shield of magic, his flying feet and fists bounced off it harmlessly, but with every attack the Azarathian healer felt herself slowly loosing a bit more energy to keeping it up. Sigma was laughing like some megalomaniac and in his maddness Raven found her comfort. It was past time that his type be delt with, and Raven was just the person to do it.
Before she could loose her shield she dropped it of her own accord, leaping nimbly to her feet and slipping betwean her opponant's legs. Though she felt no pain, her breathing was hampered and she knew it was too possible that a broken rib had punctured her lung.
Well if my body's broken, Raven thought wryly to herself, then let's leave it behind.
Before Sigma could turn to face his smaller, faster, opponant, Raven turned herself immaterial. Flying up she entered the energy vampire's body. Her mind reached out to connect with his. Depending on how weak his mind was - the insane were normally pretty weak - she would be able to gain varying degree's of control over his body.
"All right." She said darkly, her voice coming out of Sigma's mouth. "Let's see what this baby can do, shall we?"
His mind, though crazed and power hungry, was stronger than she suspected. Start small. she told herself, and under her comand the large man flexed his fingers. Yes, at last, power.
((I know this counts as god modding in the worst form, but I don't have huge amounts of control and in a couple of posts I'll leave for some reason or another, unless you wanna find a way to expell me, I'm cool with anything.))

An evil smile curled onto Maximillion's lips as he saw the fight begin. However, he was not expecting to be a target in this battle. This made Juggernaut's arrival at the top of the building a surprise. Fortunately, Maximillion knew how to keep a straight face. As he turned towards Cain, his smiled maintained.
"Ah, Cain, you had such promise as a villain, what happened to you?" He chuckled lightly yet evilly and looked up at him. "As for me, I am here on business, so don't worry about me." Maximillion looked better than normal, thanks to an updates Dr. Doom gave his watch. Now he had an obvious six-pack and large biceps, but his face was still the same. "However, if you must know my name is Maximillion Daggeron."
