Trenton glared back down at Raven when she accused her of being a traitor. She clenched her fists as she looked over at her.
"It's not my fault you're Nightwing was stupid enough to trust me", she hissed as she turned a cold shoulder on the caped woman.
She could feel a sense of rage begin to overtake her. She had just come from battling Grayson, and had flown from Keystone to here only to encounter these madmen. Her eyes quickly locked on the tall bruntte man in the visor. She smiled in a sickeningly sweet manner as a beam of scarlet shot out at her. She dodged it quickly, her superspeed aiding a great deal. Within seconds she was up in the air, and was quickly coming back down at the X-Man. She crashed into him and smiled again as she rose to her feet.
"You're kinda cute. Shame about the whole hero thing..."

"I'll put it on your tombstone." Cain said as he crossed the last few feet toward Max. He swung back his fist and delivered a massive hit directly to Max's face. Half a second before his fist hit the guys face, something flashed across Cain's mind. Who the hell does this guys think he is? No one stands there and takes my punch.
Another half second later he got his answer. Cains fist connected, sort of. One minute Max's face was there solid and smirking, the next it was a flash of particles as Cain's fist went through it. Cain reoriented himself and stared as the villain's face reformed, slowly at first then faster as it finished.
"Ok...."

The satisfying, damp and meaty crunch that was produced when the first blow landed sent waves of demented pleasure through the madman. Excited and increasingly confident, the speed of his attacks increased. He was in such a blind rage that he didn’t notice his frenzied blows were landing before they even struck their intended target. It was only when she dodged away with deft, rapid movements that he realized he’d not killed her yet. Still, she was injured, and that meant she would be easier prey. . . Now, just to find her again. . . He convulsed, suddenly and unexpectedly. This time Sigma didn’t feel a simple ‘presence’ in his mind, but rather felt as if there were two people in his body, and he was slowly being pushed to the back. Hearing her voice, twisted as it spoke through his own mouth, a panicked fury overtook the vampire. His fingers flexed of their own accord, and he screamed, twisted and writhed within his mind, cursing silently as he fought against her powerful presence. “Out! Out! Out OUT!” He screamed, enhancing the demented cry with his powers, sending it echoing about the city square. In a last, desperate attempt to dispatch his foes before he lost his own body to the witch, he summoned as much energy as he could still control, and directed his free hand downwards – towards the others on the ground and buildings below. Blabbering, screaming and frothing at the mouth, Sigma punched out hundreds of tiny energy projectiles. The tiny, green points of light spread out wildly and fell towards the people below like demonic rain. Each no bigger than a golf ball, they would still impact with the force of a grenade, causing chaos, destruction and terrible death for those too weak to survive, or foolish enough not to seek cover. His cries slowly faded away, as Sigma found himself losing control of his body completely. He watched through his own eyes as the deadly rain fell, waiting for the destruction to begin. The darkness of his own mind slowly engulfed him, but the terrible demons that constantly assaulted the last of his sanity paid him no attention. Clustered about him in the blackness, they seemed focused on something else – the invader. Cowering in a corner of his own mind, Sigma watched – sweating and shaking with fear as his demons turned their attention on the witch’s presence. He’d let them do it! Yes! He’d just stay safe, stay here – out of the way. ((OOC: Raven, please feel free to do as you with my body. Nothing sexual please - everyone else, I hope you have your umbrellas XD ))

He smiled wider as Juggernaut swung a punch at him. It felt strange to have his face blown off for a moment, but he could feel the return coming along. Soon, he was looking up at him, laughing evilly. "Surprised Cain?" he asked, still making an evil chuckle. "I'm not. You see, my body's molecules have been de-stabilized, cauing all of your punches to feel more like an angry ex-girlfriend slapped me." he said, telling him he could still feel something, but it could never be bad enough to knock him out. "Can you say Checkmate?" he asked, before flying out a few feet from the building.

Cain shrugged. "I got a guy down there with a laser in his head. That'll destroy your little molecules." He turned to yell at Cyclops but paused and switched back to Max. "So you float around and talk smart? Some bad guy you are. Go away son, you are wasting my time."
Cain took two steps and leaped off the building. he landed near Cyclops and nudged him on the shoulder. "I got a guy on the roof that I can't hit. Wanna give him a shot?"

Sigma fell to the ground, writhing and screaming, frothing at the mouth like some kind of mad dog. In a fury he released a rain of energy upon Raven's comrads. She watched but somehow it didn't matter as much. They could take care of themselves.
It was a battle, the man was crazy without a doubt, but strangly it only seemed to make him more powerful. She fought as hard as she could, slowly taking over his body and mind until he was nothing more than a prisoner with no control. Slowly but with a crazed drive, Raven sent tendrals of power into his mind. It didn't take long to harness his powers.
Feeling strength like none she had ever experience before roll into her like a tidal wave, she smiled darkly. So much strength, so much power! All in her hands.
Drawing fourth as much as she could from the surrounding area Raven loosed a huge blast into the middle of the town square. Cement was thrown high into the sky as if a bomb had struck. A water main was knicked and a cool spray blasted into the air like a gyser.
But it wasn't enough, Raven wanted more. She reached faurther and faurther into his mind, drinking in more and more power, letting it fill her to the brim. Overflowing out of her pores.
"You want me out, do you? She asked her captive tauntingly, "A witch am I? You should learn to respect your betters.
Now Raven directed the force within Sigma's own body. Flowing at a dangerous pace through his vains, like fire burning him up. Raven felt it too, but the pain was displaced. Watching through his pain ridden eyes, she sent more and more into him, the power was burning them up from the inside. Yet she knew there was more to be had, and so she pried even faurther into his mind.
Memories flooded into her, disgrace, the need to proove himself, being thrown off of his own team for heaven's sake. The wrongness of it all filled her up, fueling the energy she had stolen.

Cyclops watched as the woman merely flashed out of the way of his blast, showing him that she could move at super speeds, but Cyclops wasn't totally unprepared to fight someone with abilities such as hers, he had faced the mutant Quicksilver on more then a few occasions, and he knew how to fight people who could move that fast the best he could. He was about to fire a few more ocular blasts at her, when she became airborn, and charged down straight at him.
[blue]"Sorry, I have a girlfriend."[/blue] Cyclops only bothered to respond to her cute comment because it might only make her madder to feel rejected, even if she wasn't asking him out, and when someone got angry, they made mistakes, lots of them. He let out a grunt as she slammed into him, a shockwave of pain spreading in his body from being slammed into the ground. Even in his prone postion Cyclops wasn't defenseless. He instantly looked up at the girl, who had stood up by then, and let loose a powerful blast point blank at her.
Whether or not Cyclops's blast hit the woman, he rolled back onto his knees and then stood up, taking a defensive stance, glancing to the side as Cain jumped down from the building, nudging him on the shoulder, asking him if he would mind taking a shot at the guy on the roof. Cyclops nodded, leaving Cain to deal with the woman for now. Cyclops had no way of getting onto the roof quickly, so he decided to make this quick.
As he neared within about fifteen feet of the building, Cyclops looked up at his new foe, and took of his visor, letting loose a powerful destructive blast that filled a wide area infront of him, destroying the building infront of him and who knows what else.

((OOC: I'd like to remind Juggernaut Cyclops Trenton and MoD that they should look up!))
Trapped now, as a prisoner in his own mind and body, there was little more Sigma could do than watch on helplessly as events unfolded. It was an odd sensation. He could see everything that his vision covered, but it was as if he were watching his own senses through a screen. In fact, it almost felt like a movie, and he was the star. In truth, he might even have some control over the script. . .
As he looked on, the witch-woman was drawing on his powers, directing them as hard and fast as she could. The energy flowing through her conscious mind was changing her. . . She was unraveling, losing control. She delved in, power hungry and desperate. She sympathized with him. She would be just like him soon.
Sigma grinned wickedly. Trapped as he was, she was becoming the real prisoner. The longer she stayed, the more she would risk insanity, a massive personality change, or an addiction to raw power.
The funny thing was, she felt as if she were strong now. She had no idea what his body was capable of. She had barely even scratched the surface of his powers, of his godlike potential. He wondered silently if she knew what he was thinking.
Deciding he didn't care, and he would just sit back and watch as she went mad, destroyed her friends, and delved so deep into the darkness of his psyche that she would lose herself - becoming a prisoner in his mind. It was almost beautiful. On the odd movie screen, the blast the witch had fired into the plaza threw up dust and debris, filling the square with a choking cloud and mist from the burst water main. That was unfortunate for the heroes below. With their vision impaired, they might not even see the hundreds of tiny energy grenades that were just beginning to land now.
All across the area below Sigma, scattered explosions went off randomly, across rooftops, the side of building and filling the streets with destruction. As the tiny green projectiles went off in bright, short-lived, fiery explosions, the chaos spread through the streets. Cars were destroyed, leaving only burning wrecks. Windows were blown out, scattering broken glass across the streets, and a few of the gathered, curious civilian onlookers were blown apart - completely obliterated.

((Siggy, you remind me of golum. "Yes! We'll let her kill the nasty fat hobbitses!"))
As the power just kept on filling Raven with a reckless abandone, at a seemingly endless rate, she finally remembered her mission. All her hate - all her anger, the fury that she had kept pent up within her soul since that war had started; Raven now melded to the energy that was within her new body.
Feeding Sigma's power as electricity is fed into a wire, Raven gave it all, letting her emotions fill her for the first time since her rebirth. This man, this mad-cap creature who might once have been human - he was her enemy! She had to destroy him, everything, he had played a part, and he had to be disposed of.
Focusing, she sent Sigma's energy stores - mixed with her own dark power - throughout his body. There she settled it like cherry grenades at all his major functions. Nerve center's, along the spinal cords, in his fingers, his elbows and knee caps. Then, on her word, they blew.
The shattering pain of one's own power turning against you shot through Raven's makeshift body. She could feel it, but only as a dull ripple compared to what her enemy would be going through now. Torture.
Wait. There, in the corner of Raven's eye, in the shadow's of the courthouse, she saw something move. spinning around to face it, there was nothing. Yet she knew, behind her, hiding in the shadow's, they were there.

"Sure she isn't dead and buried?", Trenton responded quickly to Cyclops and his comment. She knew well enough about Scott and Jean, the leaders of the X-Men. And she knew that Jean was dead, a result of the deadly war. She smiled in a sinister manner and winked slyly down at the man.
But to be honest with herself she knew today was the day she would die. She had to. She couldn't live with herself anymore. Not after what she had just done to Dick Grayson. But that didn't mean she couldn't go out with a bang, and maybe even take someone with her. She looked down at Raven for a split second and screamed as loudly as she could.
"I JUST KILLED NIGHTWING!", it was partially true, as Trenton really did believe the vigilante was dead. She hoped Raven would hear the earth shattering words.
As a bright red blast suddenly slammed into her shoulder, sending her reeling out of the air she quickly turned her attention to Cyclops. She looked down at her burnt and arm in anger and then rushed at Cyclops. She sent a barrage of fists to his face and chest, each one packing more speed and thus more force. It would have been concussive had she not seen the hundreds of tiny projectiles soaring and tearing through the shy. Quickly she gave one last powerful punch to her foe and rolled and ducked for cover.

They were everywhere, surrounding her, creeping closer and closer every second, mocking her, until she was sure she couldn't handle it any longer. Just as she started to father Sigma's power for a final killing blow, a voice - angry and mocking - echoed around the square.
I JUST KILLED NIGHTWING!
The words hit Raven like a ton of bricks. Nightwing, Robin, Dick Grayson. Her closest friend. He had pulled the silent, hooded, Azarathian woman out of death, Raven would have done anything for him, had loved him. Dead.
Suddenly, Raven seemed sapped. The hate that had so recently filled her turned to shock, Sigma's power bleeding back into his body. As if in slow motion, Raven fell out of Sigma, her body materializing and crashing onto the cement. And then, only one thing mattered. To make Trenton pay.
Struggling to her feet, ignoring a broken arm and several crushed ribs, Raven glared at Trenton, crying into the other woman's mind.
*Why? What did he do to you? He cared about you, would have done anything for you, loved you!*
The air around Trenton's wrist's and ankles hardened, keeping her from moving her limbs. With an angry wave of her hand, the bonds moved, sending the former hero smashing into a wall, then letting her drop. But Raven stopped, Trenton was Cyclop's problem. Just a second to late, Raven turned to face Sigma...

"Free, free, free!" Mad laughter echoed within the darkness of his mind, and the deranged sound spilled out of the mouth, only recently returned to his control, as a series of incoherent, babbling noises.
The witch-woman was gone, gone, gone! Gone forever! He could feel his strength returning to him, his body coming back under his control. He could feel his muscles, flexing at his command again, he could feel the air around him, the energy that surrounded him!
And. . .
Pain.
Terrible pain.
Something was oddly wrong with his body. His movements felt slightly sluggish, stiff and pained, as if somebody had sabotaged it. Somebody had, and that little witch was going to pay. She was distracted, dealing with some other woman, crying about some fop or something. Who cared? Not Sigma - this was his chance.
Reaching out to the surrounding area, he used his unusual sixth sense to locate the closest, immediate and large source of energy. He found it easily, and quickly. It was difficult to describe how the sense worked, but no more difficult that describing a feeling of being watched - it was just there, and it always worked.
The black and green clad figure suddenly plummeted through the air, dropping the kinetic energy fields that had kept him elevated all this time. He fell hard and fast, landing hard in the area that the witch woman had blasted earlier - when she had invaded him. She had exposed more than a water pipe, ohh yes! There was a high tension power line here, pre-junction, high power and connected directly to the power plant!
Had it been dark, the assembled combatants might have noticed the power go out across the city. The only noticeable signs were the dead traffic lights, though traffic nearby wasn't exactly moving normally. There had been widespread panic, and most people had abandoned their cars there and then on the street. Sigma noticed everything. He felt the raw power flowing through him, into him - filling him. He could not yet repair the damage the witch-woman had done to his body, but with this much power he could pave over it with raw energy!
Electricity surged about him, and the air crackled with static electricity as Sigma stepped out of the hole in the ground. He felt truly powerful now, and he would let the witch-woman know just how he felt. Then he'd kill her - eventually.
He didn't say anything. Not a single word passed between the madman's lips as he raised his hands to gesture in Raven's direction. He simply screamed. The demented shout echoed about the ruined square, before being drowned out entirely by the crackling power gathering at his fingertips. A ball of luminescent, green energy was growing between the villain's hands. Green light arced out randomly, sparking off the cement nearby, before Sigma lunged forwards.
The huge projectile, roughly half the size of the man who had created it, launched forwards, hurtling towards the caped witch with incredible speed. As it flew through the air, Sigma took silent comfort in his twisted musings - If it didn't kill her, at least it would destroy a good part of the street she was standing on. Death and destruction were always good.
Somewhere in the back of his mind, the nagging pain he had 'paved over' was growing. The villain hadn't yet noticed it, but it was growing steadily. If he didn't do something soon, it would likely hit him with all the force of a sledgehammer.

Raven turned around just in time to see Sigma leap to where the water main had burst. Surely, there wasn't something else that had been destroyed. Raven could only watch in horror as the man latched onto a ruined power line. As Sigma drank in the city's electricity, Raven could feel the power leave and was forced to block off the overwhealming cries of terror that came from all corners of Central City. Overhead a news helicopter buzzed out of site, trying to catch footage of the battle.
Raven could tell that her 'bombs' had hurt her enemy, but he seemed to have covered that pain with layers and layers of pure raw energy. Shuddering at the memory of his mind - the sensible madness that had become her - she saw his attack begin as if in a dream. He screamed, the noise penetrating through her skull, shaking her bones down to the marrow. Clutching her hands over her ears, the pale woman fell to the ground.
It was as this that she failed to regester his attack. Power filled the air around him as he flew towards her. The attack hit her head on, she had no defenses ready and she went flying into a brick wall on the other side of the square; her body crumpling to the ground like some forgotten rag doll. However, her mind was working.
The pain was about to overtake him. Even as he approached her, she knew that if she could tear away those layers of energy and expose the shattered bones and ripped muscles benieth he would be in a moment of weakness, unable to control his own body; compleatly filled with the pain.
Reaching into his mind with a more subdued, much more careful tendral of power, she begain peeling away layers of energy. Like skin she pulled one off after another, revealing the damage she had done him undernieth. Her body was becoming more and more useless as the battle progressed, but now she knew her enemy, Sigma had no way to win.

Cyclops frowned at the womans next words, he was done trading words with this girl, she wasn't getting away, he was making sure that she was getting just what she deserved, one way or another. He shot his ocular blasts at her, ignoring her comment to Raven, it didn't matter who Nightwing was, and the fact that she had killed him only made him more certain that she deserved punishment. He watched as she sped at him. He backed away while he shot the blasts, back that didn't help. Soon the woman was on him, her fists moving lightning fast as she punched him in the face in chest, the barrage of blows causing all train of thought in his head to scatter.
With one last powerful punch the woman stopped, jumping back away from Cyclops. He had no clue why she stopped attacking, she could have probably beaten him to death if she'd gone on much longer, but he didn't have time to think about that now. Central City had turned into a warzone, destruction everywhere. Perhaps the tiny grenades of what seemed to be some form of energy was what chased the girl away for a moment? His thoughts began to become more collected, thinking straight wasn't so impossible, but pain still racked his body. A few ribs had been broken from the womans assalt, and he was probably damaged somewhere else too, he just couldn't figure out where.
Cyclops stumbled forward, his legs still worked just fine, that was good. He dodged the small grenades that were falling apon the whole area, small piecies of debris hitting him a few times, but nothing big enough to cause any major hurt. He glanced at the man causing this dangerous rain of explosives, but he wasn't within Cyclops sight. He cursed under his breath, the battle was turning out so great, people were being injured and killed, this town was about to be wiped off the face of the map, but he still kept going, he couldn't afford to give up. He searched over the battlefield, looking for that woman, it was time to end this.
When his eyes caught sight of her, he noticed that the air around wrists and ankles was strange, as if it looked thicker. She couldn't seem to move, and before he knew what was going on, the woman flew back, crashing into a wall. He took this as an opportunity, launching another ocular blast at the woman, now she only had a few seconds to recover from hitting the wall before she was hit straight on my a powerful beam. He didn't know what would happen after this fight, he didn't even know why the hell he decided to come here, but he knew that he was going to leave alive, there just wasn't any other way he'd ever left a battle before.
