Angel sat atop a tall building in Bludhaven. The ngiht was dark was it was going to get. It was eerily wuite and calm, except for a few taunting breezes. She stared out over the city. Her eyes were tired, worn, and dull. Though no one would suspect such dull empty eyes, used to shine with oprimism and pride, happier eyes that would light up a room. Always at this though, Angel would shake her head and remind herself that was long ago. When she was an idiot, a wannabe hero. Now she was thee rogue assassin that struck fear into the core of the biggest criminals in town. A few blurry sillhouette photos of her had been casted over the TV, and she was wanted. It seemed ironic to her, to have a price on her head.
Angel's eyes trailed to the rooftop where her feet were crouched below her. A gun held at her hands. She could see a blurred reflection in the gun. Lately, she had been doing this often. The firey red head would stare down at her gun, her weapon, and go over and over in her head what she would be doing with it. A stronger breeze made her hair whip around her face and shoulders. It broke her from her trance. It was then, her gaze gell upon a shabby ware house. This was her job, her assignment.
"Please, don't go tonight. I've seen these men. They're smarter, better. They are more dangerous than the rest, Mi'Lady!"
Lishel's pleeding words echoed in her ears. Her sweet brunette assistant was always begging her not to go on any big jobs, but this one in particular frightened her. It made Angel feel slightly ashamed of what she had done to her earlier.
"I'm sorry, Lishell. But these guys are horrid. They've killed so many...I have to take them out for what they have done!"
Angel reached to her servant and forcibly pushed her hand over her eyes. With a flash, Lishell was rendered unconcious.
Sure, they were dangerous. All of them were dangerous. Angel didn't care. It was another thing she had gotten into doing recently. For the past few months, she had been just putting her life on the line. She still had a pain in her side from a knife wound she recieved a few weeks earlier. Her powers would be able to completely read every apponent, but she rarely even used them.
Infact, she used them so litte, if she were to be killed, the amount of godly power that would emit form her body in the sudden release, would be catastrophic.
Taking a breath, Angel stood up. A black limo pulled into the lot. Of course, all these big shots owned super expensive cars. Her guess the guy in it also had scotch on one hand, and a fat Cuban cigar hangong from his dirty lips. Angel glared down at them, her cloak billowing behind her. Angel turned and walked form the building she was on. Withing seconds, she appeared in the shadows of the building, invisible to the wrechted men not twelve meters from her. These guys were feeding the almost ending war. They had many weapons and gadgets that could be used even against super humans. They had been using them to go agains the Untouchables even.
Silently, Angel took out two gaurds, pushing their pressure points or paralyzing them temporarily. The big shot bosses barely seemed to notice their security shortage until about ten out of their fifteen were missing. Quickly, the fatter one in a white suit stood and reached for his gun.
Angel leapt form the shadows and delivered a harder than necisary kick to his arm. When the guards came after her, she simply used there big overly musclura bodies and blunt force against them. Two she threw of guard and into a wall, one she grabbed his wrist and threw him into another, and the last, she leapt into the air and spun. kicking him hard in the face. The second boss, who was smaller and in a zebra print suit, seemed just stunned at the moment. He reached for his gun and Angel swiftly held her gun to the fat one's head.
"I wouldn't do that. I know you don't give a damn about this guys life, but his weapons I'm guessing only he has access to."
With a nod, the other dropped his gun.
"You idiots always fall for it..."
Angel shoved her foot into the fat man' back and kicked him forward and aimed her gun. As her finger touched the trigger, she found herself unable to shoot for a split second.
"Stay out of Bludhaven, we have enough killers there."
The words seemed almost to blind her. Then, she felt something, something that certainly wasn't good. She only barely began to turn her head, when one of the guards had creeped up behind her and slammed his foot into her shoulder blades. Angel exhalded sharply as she flew forward. The next thing she knew, she couldn't move at all. She felt weak, like her enerfy and power was being drained. It only meant one thing. Diamonds. Indeed, as she struggled to turn her head laying face down on concrete, there was a diamond pressed agains her shoulder. Now, she wasn't the one with the upper hand. The fat man grinned as he picked up the gun that had been flung from her hands.
"You think I'm an idiot? No, I've been watching you, and I know what your little problem is. You tried to take me out, now, I'm gonna take you out, Angel Assassin."
