Johnny landed on one of the taller buildings of Gotham, he had flown here, away from New York, and away from the Baxter Building, he just couldn't handle all of the memories of Reed and what he had done for everyone. Johnny looked down the edge, watching the time people from above. They're lives seemed so meaningless, just living one moment to the next, but he guessed thats how everyone operated.
He wasn't paying attention to his surrondings at all, he didn't really care. He definitly wasn't in the presence of mind to be fighting, he would be to reckless, and take risks he would never take otherwise, risks that even an arrogant selfish brat wouldn't take. And thats exactly how Johnny saw himself, a brat. He sighed a deep sigh, he didn't know what to do anymore, and even his little talk with Spiderman hadn't done that much. What would his life amount to now?

Though usually Pamela Isley wouldn't have broken a sweat, now was a different case. As she hiked up the dark stairwell to find the twelfth floor for a man named Chris Sombrano. After some seducing, she would steal the files hidden deep within the file cabinet on the right of his wooden desk. With that information, she'll figure out everything she needs in order to shut his business down. What he's planning? He wants to rip out one of Gotham's parks in order to fill it with more apartment complexes that Gotham doesn't need. The thought made Pamela sick. Nauseating to imagine the murder of the wildlife that allows people like him to breathe. No one seems to care, anymore. But that was not the worry for now. Poison Ivy slapped her palm onto the cool railing that slid down the narrow passageway. She was getting weak. Pamela didn't imagine she got so little sun today that she'd need to escape to the roof.
Either way, the green goddess was in no place to take down the man of the hour in the weakened state she was in. With a sigh, Pamela continued to trudge through. Even though it was just hitting dusk, she knew that the fresh air would still liven her up. It was like a shot of expresso but for a plant. She passed the 12th floor and finally reached the 20th, where she felt a rush of clear, refreshing air fill her lungs as she walked out onto the roof of the building.
It was unusual. For a city, the stars still shone bright. The green color began to fill back into her skin. Pamela Isley smiled wide and let out a loud, exasperated sigh. "...Feels nice." She muttered quietly. Her long legs strutted over to the side of the roof to see the view, until her body froze when she saw someone else up there.
At first Pam thought it was the man she was planning to kill, but soon realized it wasn't. He was tall, probably a little taller than Pamela's already modelesque frame. Seeing he was pretty close to the edge, she raised her voice. "I'd take a step back, if I were you." She called from the other side of the roof. "You don't know how easy it is to die in this town."

Johnny sighed again, he had lost count of how many times he had done that since Reed's death, but he knew it was more then someone should be doing it. He'd never heard of any negative effects from sighing though, so it didn't much matter at all. He was still looking down at the people when he heard a voice behind him. He turned swiftly to see a lady with a green tint.
"Always gotta have a girl colored blue or green, whats next, hot pink?"
He offered her a cold, empty smirk at her warning, not like it mattered. [red]"I don't see how I need to worry about getting pushed off a building when I can fly."[/red] He examined the lady some more, a little curious about her, he might have even thought about her exotic attractiveness if he was in a better state of mind.
[red]"I hope you didn't come looking for a fight, because if so, you can just stuff, I don't wanna hear about it."[/red]

Her mind spun slightly in frustration. She wanted to get this over with. With death on her mind, Pamela felt like fidgeting, laying down, doing something other than dwelling on the fact. Usually she can be a cold murderer without any second thoughts-- but tonight, she was reconsidering. Maybe she didn't need to kill the man. She could always leaved him paralyzed. Yes. Maybe she'll do that and do him a favor, even if he was a total prick.
The man spoke to her in a cold way, making Poison Ivy bite her lip and grin. He had no idea what he would get himself into if he attempted to start something. But the woman raised her brows when she heard he could fly. That was interesting-- he didn't look like a super from afar. "If you want to fall, it doesn't matter if you can fly or not." Pamela said, her words laced with an unusual wisdom. She crossed her arms and stared at the man from the corner of her eye. Smiling, Ivy pulled her arm up and placed her right arm on her curvaceous hips. "I don't usually pick fights with strangers." She said as she stared at her nails. "So you're safe, for now."

He doubted that she was a good guy, highly. She had that evil aura thing going for her, but Torch didn't really care, he was in to much of a mid-life crisis to beat up bad guys just because they were bad. It was a different story if he caught then in the middle of doing something bad, but right now he didn't care at all.
Her voice wasn't very reassuring, not the kind you could trust at all, but something seemed off about her, he didn't know what. He sat down on the ledge and crossed his arms over each other, just looking at her. He didn't feel like sitting there in silence, so he decided to be the ice breaker. [red]"My names Johnny Storm, most people know me as the Human Torch."[/red]
He had never seen or heard of this lady before, he hadn't the faintest clue to whom she may be, and he had a feeling that it was the same for her with him. [red]"And you are?"[/red]

"Hello Johnny." Poison Ivy smirked and uncrossed her arms as she continued to observe the man. It was easy to tell that he was somewhat swayed by her presence, and that only boosted her confidence. Ivy continued to flash her seductive smirk as he awaited her response. Sometimes it was more fun to string one along. This 'Johnny' kid looked pretty young for the Gotham streets. He wasn't from there, was he? Quirking a brow, Pamela watched him, still. Storm didn't look like he was in the most stable set of mind, at the moment. It kept Poison Ivy on edge.
A minute after the man asked, she pointed at herself and casually flipped her thick, jacinth hair. "I'm poisonous." She paused, letting out a small chuckle. "I'm not sure if you're old enough to associate yourself with women like me." Turning her pale gaze to the brightly lit sky above, she asked the Human Torch a question: "But I must ask-- Why is a hero, of all people, looking so down?" Pamela placed her hand on her hip and widened her eyes, assuming a mock-worried state. Her jaw lightly hung and she felt her lips moisten with poison. Hey, it was automatic.

Johnny raised his eyebrow at the woman, she was quite the character. He could've sworn that the smirk she had just flashed him was more then just a little seductive, made she was just used to toying with men? He frowned a little when she started with the age thing, he was definitly old enough to handle anything he found. [red]"Why don't you just let me worry about who I'm old enough to associate with."[/red]
He sighed a little under his breath at her next question, why would he want to tell her his reasons for being in the dumps? Like she would even understand, but he decided to just give it a shot. [red]"My friend died, I think that warrants being down if you ask me."[/red]
He wondered just what side this Poisonous lady was on, she certainly didn't look or act like a good guy, but he had seen worse in heroes, she could be on any side, but if he had to guess, he'd guess that shes a villian, and he wouldn't be suprised if he was right.

Poison Ivy had regained her strength that she had been lacking in the stairway, but for some reason, she didn't want to go back. It wasn't every day a villain met a hero who was falling down a deep pool of self-pity. Pamela had to admit it, she was loving this man's aggravation towards her words. Men were always so willing; yet, that's when she had openly aired out her pheromones. Of course, it wasn't as if the woman was hard on the eyes. Not at all. And she always used that as an advantage. One never knows when sexuality will play in a future scuttle.
"Why don't you just let me worry about who I'm old enough to associate with."
Johnny's harsh words only entertained the woman more. She ran her red-tipped nails through her burnt orange hair and let out an amused laugh. That was adorable. The 'Human Torch' spoke so big. He must really know what he's doing if he's so sure of himself. And once he justified his cold mood, Ivy couldn't help but shake her head to him.
"Oh please, hon, death isn't such a stranger, especially if you're a super." The woman spoke frankly and honestly. It was the truth. Why was he so affected by a death? Ivy's friends have died at one time. Pamela gulped and hid the slight veil of insecurity that quickly reflected in her eyes. Lies. She whispered to herself. The woman never really had friends. "You'll get through it." Her voice strained to sound strong and sure, but it faltered for only a mere moment. Her sure expression flooded back to her face as she smirked again. It must be because of how new he is to this whole business. "Learn to make death your friend, in this business." With a flick of her finger, bright green ivy crawled from the roof of the building and climbed down the front. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

Johnny smirked coldly as she started lecturing him on how he should make death his friend, but she spoke from experiance, the women had seen death, many times, and he was willing to bet anything that she had caused it too. He kept his arms crossed, barely missing the change of her eyes that happend for a flash of a second. [red]"You'd have to be in the super business alot longer then I have to be able to get over death that fast, especially if that someone was important."[/red]
He wondered why this lady even cared, she didn't know him, but it felt like she was mocking him, like she begrudged him for some reason that he didn't know, he couldn't really place it, or maybe he was just feeling stuff that wasn't there? He wouldn't be suprised if he failed at being empathetic. [red]"So'd you just come up here to talk to me about death, or is there something else you want?"[/red]

The man was making excuses. Ivy smirked at them, letting the excuses go one ear and out the other. Johnny Storm was talking a lot for someone who should know not to talk to strangers. Death of a friend or enemy, it is still a death. Dead. Left to be maggot humped deep beneath the Earth. Ivy shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly. To be honest, none of Pamela's heart went out for this kid. Obviously he knew what he was dealing with, right? Who cares. Ivy thought. Too much fun to ignore.
"Do you want the truth? Or do you want me to tell you what you want to hear?" Pamela asked, turning to him. She took a few steps forward to enclose the two supers' empty space. The man was barely taller than the already tall woman, and it made her frown inwardly. He had no idea how much Ivy hated men. Many had to admit, though, she was good at playing the sex-puppet card. From absorbing Johnny Storm's appearance, she turned her gaze out to the street below them. Maybe he'd see her in a different light. Perhaps she could get a man to turn to her side of things...

She had ignored his earlier words, he didn't really care, they were pretty useless anyways. He didn't care how she felt about death, he felt the way he felt, and thats what mattered. He didn't move when she closed the distance between the two of them, at least he'd get a closer look.
She was alot more attractive up close, even with her odd skin color, it just made her more exotic in a way. He thought about her question for a second before replying. [red]"I don't really care, pick one."[/red] He realized he was playing with fire, but he wasn't paticularly worried about getting burned, she didn't seem that powerful, but he was going to be a little cautious, just incase.

The man must have known he was fueling the green goddess to push farther, prod harder. Her pale green eyes adventurously darted to Johnny as she let out an airy laugh. "Well, I was planning on killing a man tonight who works in this building." Pamela never took her eyes off of him as she scanned his face for a reaction. "But I thought I'd come to the roof to get some fresh air." Taking another dangerous step closer, she leaned her lips close to his ear. "Nothing like a breath of air." Pulling back, she smirked. He wasn't too bad looking, for a kid.
"So what do you do, Johnny?" Pamela asked curiously as she sat on the raised edge of the roof. Her hands rubbed the fine dirt layer that had formed and examined it. Looked clean enough. Her eyes turned back to the Human Torch while she awaited an answer. At least this could get interesting. Though she loved to pretend she wasn't interested in anything that someone says, Ivy knew that if she paid attention, she may learn something knew about a rookie hero. Raising a brow, Dr. Isley couldn't help but smirk at the man to the right of her.

Johnny watched as she spoke about what she was doing here. Kill a man huh? That definitly wasn't good guy stuff, which made it quite obvious that she was playing for the other team, which made Johnny wonder why he really didn't seem to care so much. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up when the lady whispered into his ear.
[red]"What do I do? I'm a hero, I save people."[/red] Johnny wondered what she was getting at. He turned his head and looked at her, his arms still crossed, he hadn't really moved all that much. He rubbed the side of his face in contemplation, he had an idea of where things with the woman might be headed, and he wasn't to sure about them, what would the others say? Like he really cared.

Pamela raised a brow at the man before her as she crossed her left leg over her right. He saves people; of course he saves people. Rolling her pale green eyes, Ivy spoke with an aggravated tone. "You misunderstood me." The green goddess said simply, waving her thin hand by her face as she spoke. "I meant-- what makes you different from the other guy?"
As she awaited an answer, she placed her gaze on the door that led downstairs. Ivy would have to start heading down soon. If things look good, maybe Johnny would have a true calling about his heroism and follow her down to stop her. Makes things much more interesting. She said to herself as she raised her hand, watching her nails with a bored expression. Either way, whether the man wanted to have some fun or not, Poison Ivy would have to finish what she came to do.

Johnny had wondered why she had asked such a lame question, but now it made since, she wanted to know what he could do, not what he did. He raised his hand up, this would show her. He summoned fire to the palm of his hand, causing a red tint to show on his face. [red]"I think this'll pretty much answer your question."[/red]
He thought about the man she had come here to kill, was he planning on stopping her? He wasn't sure, this wasn't his town, wasn't his job to stop her here, even though he knew that it was wrong, as a hero it was his job to save everyone he could, but he wasn't sure if he was a hero right now. He felt more like a self-pitying loser at the moment.
He closed his hand and snuffed out the fire, crossing his arms again and looking back at the woman, what exactly did she want from him? Did she want him to try and stop her? [red]"So what are you looking for? A fight? Want me to try and stop you from killing that man?"[/red]
