Remy had gone for a night out. Card games, cigarettes and a few drinks here and there. It was all good really. He couldn't complain really. He was content enough to be left alone for the time being. He wasn't even sure how to get close to people. He wasn't even sure he wanted to know how.
But for now he was okay with being alone. It's not like he deserved any better, he thought as he leaned against the wall of a slightly rundown shopping mall. His trademark brown coat fluttered a little but he ignored the chilled winds and stared blankly at the now nearly empty parking lot. People had finished shopping for themselves and their lovers and friends and had packed themselves back into their heated little suburbans and poked down the city streets with their new found treasured stored like the precious cargo it was.
Remy licked his lips a little as he thought about having another smoke. He changed his mind when he felt the chapped condition of his lips though. Wet paper and dry lips were never a good combination. He fumbled his rough hands in his deep pockets for a few seconds, shuffling through playing cards and various other objects. he pulled out a pack of matches and held it up to the light to see the logo on the brown paper. He sighed as he pulled it back downwards and flipped the tab open to reveal the rows of bright red matchheads. He yanked one from the lining and ripped it out, striking it quickly and holding it until it burned nearly to his fingers, then tossing it down.. He would repeat this process over and over again as he stood alone.

Micheal walked down the almost empty streets. It was a weekend night and the blond man was bored and looking for fun. He smiled slightly as he turned into the lot of a mall, almost empty and probably soon to close. But hey, usually pretty cute girls hung around the mall after hours with all their friends. He wandered along the side walk, slightly rubbing his hands together. After a moment of wandering, he spotted Remy flicking matches. After watching him do this for about five minutes straight, he just had the urge tosay something. "Heh, maybe if you do that long enough someone'll spontaniously combust." He joked with a hearty laugh as he took a few steps towards Remy in a friendly matter.

Remy was taken a little off guard as a strange, tall blonde man approached him. He arched an eyebrow and accidently let a match burn to long, the firey embers reaching his thumb and forefinger. He frowned and tossed the ashy stick to the ground, it was black and withered.
The comment about combustion made Gambit wonder. Did this stranger know him? Or was it just an offhanded and coincidental remark.
"Ha!", he exclaimed finally with a shake of his head as he realized he was out of matched. "You know Gambit, den?"

"Well, if he doesn't know the Gambit then I suppose he's in for a lovely surprise," Mack remarked with the faintest hint of a smile as she approached the two men that seemed to be merely staring at the emptying parking lot. Green eyes had brightened immediately when she had caught sight of the familiar man, and she had found herself walking more briskly than usual to approach him when a blonde man had beaten her to it.
Slowly, she drew her eyes away from Gambit's form in order to take in the blonde man's appearance. He held himself well, and had the same air of self content that most people couldn't carry well. All in all, she wasn't sure what to think of him.
Lazily, she found herself glancing back at Gambit before shrugging her shoulders. "Foraging the local mall, are we, boys?"

Remy smiled as he saw the woman approaching. He was surpised he hadn't noticed earlier, but he had been pretty wrapped up with watching matches and cars.
"Da fille is right, you know? Gambit very famous!", he said with a toothy grin. He was one to brag really, but his confidence was nothing when compared to what the blonde man was exuding.
Gambit nodded and looked back at the woman. "Mais oui. For true. And what are you doing here?", he winked one of his bright red eyes.

Mackenzie flashed Gambit a grin before lifting one shoulder in a shrug. "Met a friend from the war for drinks," she replied easily.
Of course, the man hadn't really been her friend, but he had slaughtered countless people by pushing money toward Iran. She'd merely tracked down a few loose ends and gave the man a piece of her own mind.
"It's been awhile, Gambit. See you've still got your same flare," she remarked casually before glancing over at the blonde and then back at the Cajun.

Remy made slow movements as he slid down, his back against the wall. He was soon resting casually against it, while shuffling his hands through his pockets.
"Ya been having a good time den", he remarked as his red eyes met hers. He had decided not to dig too deep, it was none of his business anyway. He looked up at the man again and squinted his eyes a little.
"Who iz you?", he asked suddenly realizing he was standing with a perfect stranger. He smiled over at Beacon slyly. "Ya, Gambits always gonna have dat razzle dazzle"

{{Ok lemme try and catch up here.}}
Micheal smiled as he saw Mack appraoch. He watched casually as the two converes, waiting for the opertuen moment to make himself known. That's when Gambit asked who he was. "Ah, I see someone would like to know me, heh, big shocker." He said sarcastcially with a grin. He extened a hand lower to Gambit sitting on the floor. "The name's Micheal, or also known as the famed super hero Booster Gold." He smiled as he lifted his chin in a classic kind of pose. Then, turning his attention to Beacon he winked slightly. "And who might this pretty young lady be?" He asked with an air of confidence practically whisking from him.

Ergo, a man's ego, Mack thought to herself as the blonde introduced himself. He even posed a bit, and for a moment she wasn't sure whether to laugh or to frown. Still, the name was familiar and it put her at ease a bit. After all, time's were dangerous.
"I'm Mackenzie, but I go by Mack," she replied easily, wondering if someone could bottle his confidence so that she could sell it to dirty politicians. "Mainly because I tend to run people over people like a Mack truck," she explained, only half serious. "That, or people have a hard time pronouncing a three syllable word."
She shifted her weight from her right leg to her left and glanced over at Gambit. Razzle dazzle? she thought to herself with a faint uplift of her left brow. "Glad you're not leaning toward the Elton John sort of razzle dazzle," she remarked in good fun.

Remy raised an eyebrow as the man began to talk about himself. He shook the mans hand, feeling a bit uneasy about doing so. "Remy Le Beau", he said mentioning his own name.
He quickly looked back down and began to shuffle a pack of cards. He smiled and shook his head, as though he found something funny in the situation. He looked up to Mack and grinned as he jerked his thumb to point it to Michael.
"This guy has got da gumbo" he chuckled. "Big in his seat, yeah."
Then Remys face turned serious as Mach spoke again. "You know Remy don't do dat way"

Mackenzie did her best to conceal a grin at Remy's serious expression. Eventually, her stern and blank face gave away to a huge and boisterous grin before she shook her head.
"You should know by now that I'm joking, Remy." Besides, no one in their right mind would actually think that Remy swung that way. "Got an itch, or is that just purely habitual?" she referred to the deck of cards that the man shuffled quietly.
Idly, she let her gaze wander over the parking lot. That is, until she heard a strange noise coming from just around the corner of the building that they stood in front of. She took a few steps toward the parking lot before leaning forward, easily catching sight of a small group of punks, defacing a huge poster on the side of the mall. The poster was so huge that even from the distance she could see the large insignia on the man's chest, and knew without a doubt that it was a huge poster of none other than Superman.
They're having a 'Superman Returns' sale? she asked herself as she lifted one brow in confusion.
"Remy, try the matches again."

Remy jumped to his feet suddenly, believing he sensed some sort of trouble somewhere nearby. But he quickly shifted his attention to Mackenzie.
"Possede", he said with a wink as he leaned in to face the woman. He looked her up and down very quickly and then smiled. "Some things Remy just cannot help"
Remy sighed when Mack seemed to focus her attention on something other than him,and he peered outwards were she had been staring. He picked a pack of matches out of his pocket and placed it carefully into her hand. "You give a go, den."

Mackenzie almost laughed when Remy handed her the matches. Almost. Instead, she merely rolled her eyes in his direction before lifting her left hand and flexing her fingers in front of his face. “I’ve got something better than a pack of matches,” she muttered as she glared toward the group of miscreants.
Instantly, her hand began to glow a green color and she felt the power building in her fingertips. Eyes on the large poster that the punks were defacing. With a precision that she was still working for, she pointed her fisted hand toward them and watched as a green plasma blast slammed into the concrete wall just behind one of the punks. There was immediate action, but her hand fell to her side. After all, she didn’t want to hurt any of them.
“They don’t like the light show,” she explained to Remy with a shrug of one shoulder. Unfortunately, it seemed that the group was a bit peeved that someone had interrupted their graffiti-time, as most of them seemed to be packing up their spray paint as they headed in their direction slowly. “Let me try these just once,” Mack conceded as she pulled a match out of the small packet and striked it against the wall.
Unfortunately, it did little but cause her to yelp when it burnt all the way down to her fingertips. Cursing, she tossed the offending match down and brought her fingers to her mouth to cool them before glancing back up at Remy. “Okay, so they won’t combust. New plan?”
[OOC: Sorry, I was just trying to find a way for Remy to make things go boom.]

"Look more like you about to combust, petite", Gambit said with a slight chuckle as he looked sideways at the woman. She hadn't had much luck with the match, much to Remys amusement. She was a card really, and he liked that.
Remy finally decided to make eye contact with the ever approaching group of punks. They looked like they were in the mood to pick a fight. And that was just fine with Remy.
"You got it all wrong Cheri", Remy said quickly as he took a long drag from his cigarette and promptly dropped the burnt out butt to the ground, stomping it with his thick boots.
"Look, eh? They jes feelin' up to a game of cards..", Gambit flushed the deck of cards in his hands and held them high above his head as they began to grow a bright scarlet.

Mack wasn't sure whether to laugh or merely to keep a straight face as Gambit charged up a deck of cards and held them over his head. She'd seen his aim before, and knew exactly what kind of damage could be dealt by such innocent looking objects. But, the matter was taken out of her hands as she realized that the punks were still approaching.
Honestly, she thought to herself. What kind of damage do they think that they can do with a couple of bats and spray paint?
Instead of asking what the group hoped to accomplish with their measley weapons, she merely glanced back at Booster. [green=color]"Feel like joining the party before all of the favors are gone?'[/color] she offered before turning her attention back to the matter at hand. "I don't know about you, but I get the feeling that they don't like us," she muttered in Remy's direction as a tall man with dreaded blonde hair and a sinister glare spat in her direction.
Fortunately for both her favorite pair of boots and the boy's face, it struck the sidewalk just inches away from her. Unfortunately, the boy followed it up by throwing a large rock in her direction. The offending object was swatted away, but the chaos only escalated.
"Yeah, they definitely do not like us," she muttered as insults erupted from within the group.
Then again, perhaps trying to scare them away had been a bad idea to begin with.
