This is my first time ever writing a story like this one. I rarely do crossovers...actually, I never do crossovers. So, this is really something new for me. I hope you guys like it (Constructive criticism and compliments welcome)
Year: 23XX
Location: City streets of unknown metropolis[/center][/b]
It was a dark, and eerie night in the massive city in which the famous boy robot, MegaMan, resided. However, the Blue Bomber was not the only robotic being who lived in this metropolis. The black and orange trimmed robot known as Bass wandered the foggy streets with his faithful sidekick, Treble. Treble wasn’t exactly your average sidekick considering the fact that he was a robotic wolf. The dark purple and gray wolf-like robot came to an abrupt halt, and sniffed at the air.
“What is it, Treble?” Bass asked as he stopped, and turned to his one true ally.
The wolf growled as it looked skyward. It found whatever was causing the queer scent in the atmosphere.
Bass turned his emerald eyes to the sky, and saw a large figure hidden by the fog. “Hey!” He called out as he glared at the entity. “You want something from me?” He said angrily.
“I’ve come to make you an offer, Bass.” The figure said with a low and loud voice.
The robot’s eyes widened with surprise. How did this guy know his name? “How do you know who I am?” Bass shouted.
“I’ve been watching you.” The being replied. “And I have come to you to make you an offer I’m sure you will find, at the least, interesting.”
Bass fell silent. He wasn’t sure what this guy’s deal was, but he was intrigued by this stranger for some reason. “Go on.” He said somewhat calmly.
“I want to give you exactly what you desire—a world without the Blue Bomber.” The entity stated.
“What?” Bass exclaimed. “You mean you can get rid of MegaMan?” The black and orange clad robot paused very briefly. “How?” He demanded as Treble came a little closer to him.
“I did not say I could get rid of MegaMan, I said I could give you a world without him.”
~A world without MegaMan? That does sound good.~ Bass thought to himself. “What’s the catch?”
“I only ask that you do one little thing for me in return.” The entity replied.
“What’s that?” Bass asked coolly.
“I want you to destroy the men who call themselves Iron Man and War Machine.” He replied. “They are not easy opponents, but I have faith in you, and I will also be providing you with an ally.”
Treble barked loudly at the figure in the sky. “I’ve already got one.” Bass responded after glancing at the robotic wolf.
“Trust me when I tell you that you will need more than just Treble to defeat these two.”
“Oh yeah? Then just who is this partner you’re giving me?” The robot asked firmly.
Out of the mist behind the two robots came a robotic being with red armor, and ankle length blond hair. He was much taller than Bass, at least by one foot. However, that didn’t say too much, Bass was only about five-feet tall. He came over near Bass & Treble, about a yard or two away from them.
Bass and his wolf-like companion looked to the Reploid, and then to the man in the air. “Are you kidding me?” Bass asked with rage.
“So I take it you do remember Dr. Wily’s latest project.” The being in the sky said as he looked down at the 3 of them.
“Yeah! And there is no way I’m working with this loser!” Bass shouted, and then suddenly a green beam-blade was right at his neck.
The Reploid had drawn his Z-Saber from his back, and put it to the Robot Master’s armored neck.
“You better move that thing away before I blow you straight to the junk yard, you sorry excuse for a robot.” Bass threatened as he glared at the red clad Reploid.
“Zero!” The man above them called out. “That is enough!”
“Zero, huh? How fitting.” Bass mocked as Zero started to put his saber away.
Zero glared at Bass as he sheathed his Z-Saber on his back. ~This punk has no idea who he’s dealing with.~ He thought to himself.
“Bass, Treble, Zero, your mission is to take over the city of Los Vegas using your mechanical followers, and kill the ones called Iron Man & War Machine.” The man in the sky said to them.
At that moment an army of robots of all different kinds came up behind Bass & Treble, and Zero as well. The ones behind Zero seemed slightly more advanced, like they were next generation models of the robots behind Bass.
“Do you accept this mission?” The figure questioned in an almost thunderous voice.
“I’m in.” Zero said as a fiendish smirk crossed his lips.
“Yeah! Me too!” Bass said, and then Treble released a howl. ~No way I’m going to let girlie-locks show me up.~ Bass thought to himself, his eyes fixed on Zero.
“Excellent.” The man said with glee, and then the world around the robotic beings became strange colors, like a negative, and then began swirling rapidly. In a flash of black the Robot Master and his sidekick, and the red armored Reploid appeared only a couple dozen feet outside of the Pyramid. Their armies stretched as far as the eye could see, and all 3 of them smiled at the sight.
“Alright you mets, bring this place down!” Bass ordered a mass of small yellow helmet wearing robots as he stared at the Pyramid. “It makes me think of Pharaoh Man too much.” He added as the little bots pulled out some mining picks, and started to climb up the building to tear it down.
“Gunmen!” Zero shouted. “Spread out! Shoot anything that moves!” He commanded the dark blue and green robots that held highly advanced handguns.
The robots ran out into the city, causing havoc everywhere they went. Soon more robots flooded the city, and the story was all over the news until another horrible event occurred in New York.
Albert Wesker, one of the most feared men in the Umbrella Corporation, walked down the white halls in the underground base that belonged Umbrella. He was currently dressed in his S.T.A.R.S. police uniform with his black sunglasses on. On his right hip he had his 9mm pistol holstered, on his left breast he had a combat knife sheathed, and on his left side he had a Magnum holstered and fully loaded. As he casually walked toward a pair of large steel doors he got the strange feeling that someone was watching him. He stopped where he was, and then ran his gloved hand through his blond hair before saying: “I know you’re there.” He got no response. “You can either identify yourself now or I can find you, beat your name out of you, and then probably shoot you dead.”
“You’re a very serious man, Mr. Wesker.” That same low voice that had spoken with Zero said to Albert.
“You have to be when you do what I do.” Albert replied as he turned around and saw a large figure covered by fog. “Now then, who are you and how did you get in here?”
“I have my ways of getting in and out of places.” The man replied.
There was a short silence, but when Wesker realized that the person wasn’t going to answer the first part of his question he asked again. “So, who are you?”
“For now you may call me V.” He replied plainly.
“V?” Wesker said as he raised an eyebrow. “Very well. What do you want, V?” He questioned sternly.
“To help you, Mr. Wesker.” V said in a rather bland tone.
“Help me? In what alternate universe does it look like I need help?” Albert said, and then gave a chuckle as he smirked a bit.
“The S.T.A.R.S. members are good, and you know it. Eventually they will bring Umbrella down, and even defeat you.”
“What makes you say that?” Wesker asked, the smile quickly leaving his face.
“I know this because I have seen it, Mr. Wesker. I have seen into the future, and witnessed your fall, and the fall of this company.” V stated firmly. “I am here to offer you a chance to go on as you have been in a world without any Redfields, or Jill Valentines, or any S.T.A.R.S. at all.” He stated. “I ask only one thing in return.”
“What would that be, V?” Albert Wesker asked, somewhat interested in what V was saying.
“Kill the ones known as Spider-Man and the Thing.” V replied.
Wesker chuckled at the names, and shook his head slightly. “They sound like a couple of comic book characters.” He commented.
“In a way, they are.” V said commonly. “They are not to be taken lightly. Spider-Man and the Thing are superhumans.”
Wesker’s eyes widened. “Superhumans?”
“They are not of your world, Mr. Wesker. They are of a world where some people who appear perfectly normal can have extraordinary powers, similar to your own.” V stated.
“So what exactly do I get for killing these guys?”
“Full reign over the city that they protect.” V said with a slight enticement to his tone.
“Is that so?” Wesker said, sounding a little excited. “Very well, V. However, if I’m going to do this I am going to do it my way.”
“What did you have in mind?” V questioned.
The TV, no matter where you lived in America, was overrun by two stories. One was on Nevada, and an army of robots taking over Los Vegas, and the other was on NYC.
A Spanish woman in her mid 20’s was huddled behind an armored truck in a ragged blue suit. Her shoulder length black hair was a mess, and she had a bit of blood on her face.
“This is Patricia Gomez, reporting to you live from Time Square! It looks like today is it—this is the apocalypse, viewers! The city has been overrun by zombies, and other monsters that I can’t even begin to describe!” She yelled over the screams and cries of the beasts. “Stay inside your homes! There is nowhere outside that is safe! The creatures are everywhere!” She said into the microphone she was holding. “Oh my god…” She muttered as she looked up and to her left with great terror in her face. “What is that thing?”
The camera shifted to a red brick wall, and on it was a horrible creature with no skin or eyes. It had giant claws on its hands and feet, and fangs like some sort of animal. The beast growled a little, and then an incredibly long tongue lashed out at the two people, and then there was just fuzz on the TV screen.
“Well, guess I’d better get movin’.” The large yellow-rock man said as he rose up from his chair. ~What the heck are those things?~ Thing thought to himself as he made his way to the bottom floor of the Baxter Building.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the city, the amazing Spider-Man was already fighting the monsters that had swamped New York. The creatures were surprisingly strong, and rather hard to kill. It seemed that the majority of them could only be killed if he crushed their heads, or something to that effect.
The arachnid-like hero jumped around the street firing impact webbing at the zombies that had flooded the streets. The webbing only seemed to stun the creatures, or knock them down, but it just wasn’t enough to kill them.
“At this rate I’m going to be out of web before I even come close to beating all the monsters on this street alone.” Spider-Man thought aloud. ~I really need a new plan.~ As Spidey clung to a wall high above the zombies an eyeless and long-tongued beast crawled near to him from around the corner of the building. Suddenly his spider-sense went wild as the monster jumped at him. The agile superhuman jumped away, and landed on a parked taxi. “Holy…! What the heck are you suppose to be?” He said as he looked at the Licker.
The skinless creature slowly extended its tongue, and waved it around a bit before using it like a whip to try and attack the web-slinger.
With his quick reflexes and spider-sense Peter was able to dodge the Licker’s attacks. He speedily shot 2 web lines at the creature’s tongue, and then yanked it into the air. He swung the beast around at high pace, and then launched it at a wall across the street.
The Licker’s head smashed into the wall, and then it slid down the wall. It lied there on its back in a bloodied mess, and then from atop that very building came another monster just like it. It landed right on top of a little Ford, denting the roof in.
“Oh great!” Spider-Man said as he braced himself to fight the Licker.
When the beast jumped at Spider-Man it let out a scream of anger, and then from the sky came a huge yellow figure, which smashed the monster in the middle of the road.
Parker’s eyes widened when he saw who it was, and he was very happy to see that he wouldn’t be fighting those things alone anymore. “You have some awesome timing!”
“I do what I can.” The Thing said as he rose up off of the crushed Licker.
