Angel sat in the corner of an old rundown warehouse. People came here often to drink, gamble, and attempt to pick up chicks like they were the hottest thing on the face of the earth. But that's not why she was here. There was supposedly a big deal going down at this place tonight and she had to take the guys out. Of course she wasn't idiotic enough to just be out in her regular attire, no. She mentally cloaked herself so her hair was black and she had a lip piercing. She saw a case being passed between the suspects, and that was her chance. In a flash she moved between them and kicked the case away. Automatically guns were drawn and pointed at her as they surrounded her. She held her hands up in fake surrender. She watched all their eyes. One glanced away for a split second. Taking that chance she grabbed his wrist and flipped him, taking his gun and firing at a shelf full of dishes. The glass went everywhere and the some of the men sustained small injuries. Angel leapt forward and slammed one guys face into a wall, as one came from behind she judo threw him and the las got a heavy muay thai elbow to the face. She opened the case and frowned. Of course it was jusr cash. Tucking it under her arm she ran out and stopped. Where the hell did she park her car. She rubbed her temples, this was troublesome, and she had a massive headache.

Nightwing was more than a bit miffed to say the least. He had been working this case for the better part of two days. He had been tracking that case of stolen cash. He had his own suspicions about it and would need to see the serial numbers to confirm his theories. He was becoming more like the Question everyday with his whack theories he came up with from time to time. Still, he had bounded outside when the brawl broke out. Not out of fear but out of the certainty that one of these lowlifes would run out with the case. Sure enough, one did. And Nightwing gave chase. It wasn't long until he dropped down in front of the young dark haired woman. She seemed familiar.
"Give me that case", he boomed as he stood up.

Angel skidded to a stop and glared. "Not a--!" She got a good look at him now. Nightwing. "Great. Why did I haveta run into him?" Quickly she regained her composure, a long pause would definately seem awkward. "No way. I was assigned to get this case back to it's rightful owner and I'm getting paid for it. So back off!" She spat in response. "Hope my voice isn't familiar in the least. Nah, it can't be, I've gotten older...." A mental probe or a phsycic blast would handle this, but with her headache, it could just turn into a zap of magical energy and erase his personality or something.

Just mind your own business, Mack, her mind urged as the woman walked down the virtually deserted street with her hands tucked into the pockets of her jeans. Her car was parked half a block down, as she'd discovered that she was completely out of gas. But, even she could not mistake the sight of a strange figure dropping down in front of a woman. It's none of your business, Mack. Keep walking, her mind ordered.
Yet, even as she ordered herself to keep walking, she found herself pausing with her jaw slightly agape. The man looked slightly familiar, as if she'd seen his picture somewhere before, but the woman was a virtual stranger. Why could she not avoid the feeling that she should offer her assistance to either party? Especially considering the fact that she had no idea what was going on.
Keep walking, her mind ordered again, but she promptly ignored herself and strolled up to the pair that were mere feet in front of her and cocked her head to the side.
"Hey, is everything okay?" The words sounded particularly stupid as they spilled from her mouth, but she was not sure what to say. Instead, she merely stood there, hoping like hell that she hadn't just stuck her foot in her mouth.
[OOC: Sorryz! I just wanted to play too. =D]

Nightwing peered downwards at the woman through the slitted and whited-out eye holes of his domino mask. Few people could make that look intimidating, but he was definitely one of them. As he took a step forward, and the woman took a step back a loud roaring thunder rolled through the darkness and the skies opened up to release droplets of water. But Nightwing did not move as the rain streamed down his raven black locks of hair and slithered down the bridge of his nose. He reached his arm outwards only slightly, to show that he wanted the case.
"I doubt that you know, or care, about the fact that the person who is the rightful owner of that briefcase made all that cash through murder, drug dealing and money laundering?"
Nightwing lunged forward and ripped the object from the womans hand. He was swift as could be. He turned his back and began to walk away. He looked over at the other woman who had just arrived.
"Everything is peachy", he said with a small grin. He held the case up to his chest and patted it carefully, his grin increasing.
"I'll inspect this...trace the serials...might not even be real. Then it'll go to the cops", he said turning to show his profile.
The street lights flickered on and he took another step. "Nice job in the warehouse by the way. Ever think of using your skills for good?"

Angel looked at Mack as she arrived. "Jeez, these people..." Nightwing then snatched the case from her grasp. "Everything is Peachy" He said to the other woman. She was about to insult him when he said something else. "Nice job in the ware house, by the way. Ever think of using your abilities for good?" Angel clenched her fists. So she was friends with the guy once, but that didn't change anything anymore. "First of all, I didn't know the guy was a killer, otherwise he'd be long gone for sure. And second, havn't you noticed the vanishing mafia bosses and crime lords around here? Who do you think does all that why you're away, Night-thing?" She defended taking a few steps toward him. As if the night wasn't bad enough, the headache, him, the rain and the odd woman, she could feel her mental cloak begin to slip and the back of her straight black longs slightly turned reddish, and the ends of her hair began to curl. "Crap, haveta get outta here. He can't know it's me..." Easier thought than done, she had no car, and she knew if she tried to run that Nightwing would persue and easily catch her with the condition she was in. She began to glance around and pulled her hood up, hoping it wasn't obvious that she was hiding something. Did she even bring her car along? Damn she was loosing it. Her hair was fading fast and she hoped the sacred marks of the Androlescent and Mecoria wouldn't show.

And outside the barriers of the earth was none other than the rebel himself, Hyperion. He had been watching the world and the people of it walk around, minding it's business. Mark really didn't care for any of them. He figured that they were all clueless to what the world was really about. Money. As he laughed at the simple minded people who walked around like zombies, not opening their eyes to the issues at hand. None of it was interesting to him. Except one thing that he rested his eyes on for a while now.
Hyperion was watching the incident with Angel, Nightwing, and Beacon. Of course, he didn't know any of them, but it was interesting. Immediately, Hyperion knew that Nightwing was a hero. To him, he wasn't really listening to the conversation, just watching. It appeared that Nightwing took the case for himself. Hyperion smiled. Finally, something to interrupt.
Quickly, Hyperion flew down to the warehouse that this was taking place at. In a matter of minutes, he arrived, floating above the scene, now listening. He took good looks at each person, seeing none as a threat. Still smiling, Hyperion flew down, landing in front of Angel, his back facing her. Hyperion stared at the other two. "How are you two today?" Came Hyperion's deep, sarcastic voice.

Angel stopped short as Hyperion landed in front of her. First of all, she hated all these people. Were they just drawn to eachother or something? Second, she hated when people popped out of nowhere. And third, she really hated when someone put their back to her and ignored her completely. Gritting her teeth and biting the insides of her cheeks she rubbed her forehead again and inwardly groaned. Her head was seriously killing her. She really needed to get home, her Zemgartananian assistant had medical skills specially for the Radulovic family when they were alive and Angel really needed it. Ever since she returned to earth ehr power was off the charts and limitless, but her health was never really any good. She always had headaches. Shoving past Hyperion, a lock of read hair escaed her hood, which she quickly tucked away. Idiotic, now it was deffinately noticable. Hoping they would just shrug it off, which was unlikey with these kind of people, she began to quickly and stiffly walk away, clutching her trench coat tight like a suicide bomber hiding the bomb. "If they come after me....I swear..." She thought angrily to herself as she was now about 14 feet from the group.

Hyperion watched the two people, the hero Nighthawk, and the other mysterious lady, who hadn't said much the whole time. They were and odd pair. He wondered if they knew each other or not. It didn't appear so, but he could have been wrong. For a moment, Hyperion acted as if he didn't see Angel sneaking off, when in fact, he could hear her footsteps as soon as she took a step. When he was shoved aside, he smirked.
Turning his attention now to the third person, who he hadn't said anything to yet, he eyed her, wondering where she was going. And in a flash, he began to run, and was in front of her suddenly, facing her. He kept his eyes on the other two, but his main attention was now focused on the one who was trying to get away. Hyperion simply stared at her for a moment, noticing something different. "Well, well, well. Your looking rather guilty." Hyperion said, crossing his arms across his chest. "Why so frantic to get away from these..." he stopped to look up at Nightwing and the Beacon. "These nice people."

Nightwing stopped and let out a deep sigh as the woman began talking to him. The voice was so familiar. So very familiar. Then it hit him like a ton of bricks. He snapped backwards to look at her only to spot a man descending from the skies. He vaguely reminded him of Superman, but that might just be because Superman was always a heroic figure to the young vigilante.
He shuffled back a few steps as he peered up at the strange newcomer. It had been his business to get this case and get out of here, but the arrival of an obviously superpowered being pulled him back. You never know. And he didn't want anyone getting hurt. The hooded woman was making an attempt to get outta there, and Dick couldn't much blame her.
"Yes...why such a rush?", he said as he gripped the handle of the case tighter. "Afraid that I'll call you out? You keep telling yourself that you're doing the work of justice...but you're really just a murderer? Am I right...Angel?"

Mack was prepared to simply walk away after the man had informed her that everything was ’just peachy’, but had decided to merely stick it out in case he needed a hand. After listening to the short conversation between the two, she’d decided that the man was a do-gooder if anything, and slowly placed him in her own mental memory as a man known as Nightwing. Granted, she was in no way familiar with him and chose to merely stand off to the side, even as a mysterious figure dropped down in front of the other girl and made his presence known.
Dandy, she thought to herself in relation to the man’s question, but said nothing aloud. In fact, she was too taken aback by the man’s sudden appearance. Stranger Danger! she thought with the faintest hint of a smile upon her lips.
But things seemed to take a different direction when the girl suddenly decided to walk off, only to be stopped in her tracks by the newcomer, who seemed to think that she was guilty of something. Yet, it wasn’t until the costumed man, who she’d recognized as Nightwing, spoke that her eyes narrowed.
Angel? she echoed mentally, thinking of the winged mutant that she’d come to know as a fellow X-Man. With a quick shake of her head, she cleared her thoughts and took a step toward the girl, only to realize that it was not her place to say anything.
“Righty then,” she murmured, half under her breath.
[OOC: I just figure that she doesn’t know any of them but is too curious for her own good. =3]

Angel glared at Hyperion as he stopped her. "Guilty? I just have somehwere else to be, believe it or not!" She slightly sidstepped to get past him when she heard that Nightwing began to speak. Sighing in annoyance she turned her head. He called her a murderer. She was about to protest when he said. "...Angel?" She felt a knot of anxiety twist in her stomache. "Stay calm or you'll loose it!" She told herself. "So my name's Angel. It's what I call myself when I 'take 'em out'. Big deal. Nice to see names get around here." She said with her infamous unreadable face. Something she had gotten good at. She never was a good liar, now she could say she was a three hundred foot pink platipuss with silver wins and a firey unicorn horn with out a change. "Now...unless more of you are gonna pop outta the sky, I'm taking my leave. Go ahead and throw that case where ever you want it, Birdboy, I don't care for it anymore." She looked towards Beacon and let her eyes trail to Hyperion, if they wanted to say something to her, they should before she left. "But please you stupid God, do not let hiim get any closer to me..." She prayed angrily in her head. Angel never really knew why she said God so much, it never helped her or did any good.

Nightwing cracked his knuckles as he looked down at the girl. She was pretending not to be nervous but it was obvious that she was. Nightwing knew people too well for his own good sometimes.
"I would feel guilty if I was out murdering people every other night. Don't you get it? It's not okay if they're bad people. They're still people...", his voice cracked a little and his emotions shone through just slightly. "..and you are no one to decide what their ultimate fate will be."
Nightwing stepped forward again. He wanted to know what had gone so wrong in this once sweet young lady. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her to him in a deft movement, careful not to harm her. He had heard the other woman murmur something when he had mentioned her name. In a single sweep Dick slipped the hood off of her head, revealing her flaming red hair.
"Do you know her?", he said turning to Beacon. "Because I do.."

Angel glared at him. Bad people deserved to die for what they did. To pay for how many lives they had taken. She was so ready to just slap him but what he did next caught her off guard. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her to him. "Let me-" Then he pulled off her hood and her red hair tumbled out, falling over her shoulders. Grimacing she slightly looked away. "Damn...couldn't play it off...after five years my cover is blown..." "Doy ou know her? Because I do." He said to the auburn haired woman. She made a point to try and squirm away now. "You don't know me anymore." She tried to sound harsh, but it really came out as a shameful mumble.

Nightwing shook his head as he waited for the other womans response. He was so ashamed of Angel. Going off and killing whomever she felt deserved it. But not everyone had the same kind of will power that Dick Grayson did. The drizzle came down cold and stinging on all of them as the silence enveloped the group.
"No", he said in a rapt whisper as he placed one of his hands on her shoulder. "No. I only wish I did", he said with a slight nod.
It was always hard to see a friend go down such a wrong path. It was always hard.
