Height and weight: She apperes much shorter than she is because of the wheelchair. She is also quite thin and fit.
Appearance: Barbara Gorden is paralysed from the waist down and confined to a wheelchair. Even so she is strikingly beautiful with long curly red hair and intellegent green eyes, hardely hidden behind her glasses. Unlike most people in her line of work, she gave up costumes and spandex long ago, seeing no use in wearing them when none could see her. She wears normal clothing at all times.

Super Powers: None
Learned Abilities: She is a highly skilled technicion being able to hack any system and having more knowlage about machines than more other people on the planet. She was a skilled martal artest when she was batgirl before the wheelchair but has also been trained by Richard Dragon in how to fight from her chair.
Equipment: She rarely needs weapons but most heroes have communicators with open links to Oracle and she often has modified bat gadgets on her person.
Weaknesses (Must Have): Barbara Gorden is paralysed from the waist down and was forced to give up her life as Batgirl because of that. Though she has found ways to work around her chair, it still pains her that she can no longer use her legs. The wheelchair does inhibit movement so she often has to rely on friends and allies to get stuff done.
Background: Barbara Gorden was the niece of Comissionar Gorden. When her parent's died he adopted her as a daughter. Upon reaching Gothem she became infatuated with Batman and Robin, learning everything she could about the shadowy duo. On her way to a masquarade party dressed up as a female Batman, she broke up an attempted kidnapping of Bruce Wayne. He pretended to be angry at her, but soon started to train her as Batgirl. She worked with Batman and Robin for many years, also doing some work with just Robin who was a friend and romantic intrest for her on and off throught the years.
Meanwhile Barbara went to collage and gained a PhD in literary sciences and commenced to run Gothem City Library. As she grew older she found she had grown out of her Vigilante Childhood. She was about to tell Batman that she was choosing to stop being Batgirl when joker appered at her door one night, shooting her through the spinal cord. She survived by was paralysed from the waist down.
She fell into a time of depression but finally realized that she could still do good in a chair. Learning to fight from a sitting position from Richard Dragon, she returned to Gothem to make her home base. Egged on by a dream of an Oracle with her face, she took that name and became one of the most valuble superhero and vigilante informational contact. She became invaluble to all of Gothem, soon spreading her circle of power to most of the U.S.
Not long after she started the Birds's of Pray, a group of female heroes and vigilante's who worked together, unanimously led by Oracle from her place in Gothem. She remains a contact to almost every hero, and hidden to most villains.
Personality : Babs is what some might call a busy-body. She always has work and can't stand procrastinating. For the most part she's cheery and optimistic, even around those like the Bat. However, every now and then she will dwell what it was like before the chair and can become snappish. Those who know her well know to put up with these times and wait for them to pass.
Other: Her adopted Father (uncle) Commissionare Gorden has long known and come to terms with his daughter's work outside the law. Likewise has Babs come to accept Cassandra Cain as the new Batgirl. Some silver age comics show Barbara (pre chair) working in the U.S. house of representative and going out with Clark Kent. I choose to ignore that bit.

Brief Sample Roleplay the communicator buzzed out and Oracle let out a sigh. She leaned back in her chair and stared up at the celing. Black Canary should be returning soon with the other Birds of Pray, and Babs already had another job for them. Some children going myseriously missing in the eastern states.
However, for now she had a break. Rubbing one of her legs absetly, she flipped through the different channels on the main screen before her. This one showed Gothem Library, that one showed the courthouse. This was Metropolis, here was on in Star City. Finally coming back to Gothem, she almost passed a shot of Crime Ally, a pasty grinning face she knew well laughing maniacally.
Picking up her communicator she dialed in a number. It was picked up immedietly.
"Bat's." she said," I've got a job for you."
That's all it ever was. One job after another. Just how she liked it.
