Raven wore her Untouchable's uniform, red and black. It had been created as a play on her old costume. Leotard and cape, but the colors weren't her own. Or were they? The badges on her sleeves were her own. Right?
She walked through the unfamilliar streets of the new city. It showed, like every other city in america, the ravages of war. The people all looked frightened, small. They hunched over their grocery bags and young children to make themselves smaller targets.
Raven stood out as she walked confidently down the street. Heads turned and eyes followed her, she was uncomfertable, but she had learned that during war, people turned to the leaders that they needed. And unfortionetly, she had become one.
Raven was still only 18 years old and was only too happy to slip into an ally, away from the prying eyes and thoughts. She suddenly wanted to get rid of her army uniform and don her old clothing, the dark blue, the soft cloth. She suddenly hated the uniform and all it stood for, all she stood for as long as she wore it, very very much.
Clentching her fists in silent anger, she slid down a wall and sat on the ground. Maybe somebody would find her here. Maybe not.

Scott had been on a few little excursions lately, in search of his former teammates, and in search of new candidates. Rebuilding was key now.
For a brief moment, he spotted a very familiar uniform slip into a back alley. He quickly followed, curious as to who it may be.
As he stepped into the mouth of the alley he spotted a very disheveled looking young woman in an Untouchable uniform. Scott was a leader in the movement, and recognized her as one as well.
"Trouble adjusting?" , he spoke suddenly as he crouched next to her. Scott was having trouble himself.

Raven jumped at the sound of another's voice, and she twisted her head to see so fast it cracked. She saw an untouchable's uniform and sighed to herself. Rubbing her sore neck, angry for getting caught off guard, she nodded.
"That's one way of putting it." She said, her face and voice void of emotion. She stood up again, brushing dirt off the cape and looked at the man, she recognised, if not his name, his uniform. He had been a leader in the Untouchable's movement. Without thinking she stood a little straighter and held her chin a touch higher.
"Raven," She introduced herself, "Second in command, Untouchable's Unit 5." A second later she remembered and looked down, face heating up slightly. There was no Unit 5 anymore, they had been one of the first to be disbanded.
"Most just call me Raven." She ammended.

"Most, including me" , Nightwing said with a grin as he dropped suddenly into the alley. He had made it a point to track down his old teammates as they were shipped home.
He peered over at the visor-clad man and offered his hand. "Nightwing, no regiment" , he said with a small smile.
Then he returned his attention to his forlorn looking friend. "Back home and I'm NOT the first person you contact. I'm heartbroken"

Raven looked up slightly when she heard the oh so familliar voice, and the even more familliar figure swinging down from the roof-tops. A shadow of a smile flickered across her face for a heartbeat, but it didn't quite reach her eyes. A second later, it was gone.
"What can I say?" She intoned, hiding her pleasure at seeing Nightwing. "I'm a breaker of many hearts." Then, voice warming slightly, said, "It is good to see you again."
She felt the place on her belt where there was once a communicator. She hadn't had one there in ages, they had tendancy to get destroyed in bad moments. Many a time she had thought she wouldn't make it through a mission because her communicator had broken again. Finally she had just given up wearing them.

"That you are" , he said with a small smile. He continued to look down at his friend, his war damaged friend. He had seen a brief smile on her face, and it was heartwarming.
"It is good to see you as well, Raven" , he said in a sincere and solemn tone. He meant it. He had, for a year or more now, been a leader without anyone to lead. It was almost painful.
"Will you be joining me in Bludhaven?" he said as he cut straight to the point. He didn't expect her to come and fight with him, but he wanted to know she would be among friends.

Raven returned his solumn gaze. She had heard that he had managed to stay out of the war, keeping to his home to defend his people. She almost wished she had managed the same. But she hadn't, and she was back hom now.
He did seem genuinly happy to see her, which warmed her heart. Anybody else would hug him, but if anything, the war had made her less likely to even touch someone. His offer surprised her, though. She had guessed she would go back to the tower, even though there was no one there now. But as she thought about it, the more and more it appeled to her. To be around friends again, maybe she could finally start to rebuild.
"I think I might, at that." She finally answered, unconsiously brushing invisible dirt off her cape. "I would like that a lot."

Cyclops was a little surprised at how she had introduced herself, but not so much. That was how people had done it for a year now, only with salutes taking the place of handshakes.
"Cyclops, third in command, Untouchables Unit One" , he nodded.
He was more than a little taken back when a young man in blue and black, sporting a domino mask, jumped into the alley way. He smiled as the man introduced himself, and Cyclops did the same.
He waited around the alleyway, taking careful consideration not to eavesdrop on the two. He finally felt he had an opening and slipped back into the conversation.
"I'm the leader of the X-Men" he said with a sigh. "We're having a hard time over at the school..and we need all the help we can get getting back on our feet. I've been looking for new recruits or anyone willing to help out at all. If you're interested..come to New York...Xaviers Institute."
Scott took a step back and looked down at the mouth of the alley.

Raven nodded thoughtfully as she listened to Cyclops. She had heard of Xavier's institution, what it stood for, what it had done and did for young mutants. She could only guess how many young lives it had saved.
"I will remember." She said, hoping that someday she might pay a visit, maybe help out a bit. Her eyes followed him down to the end of the ally. She thought she saw a slight shadow flitting across but she blinked and it was gone.
*probably nothing* she told herself.

Nightwing stood with crossed arms as he listened to the man who called himself Cyclops. He had made a plea for help to the two young heroes, and Nightwing wasn't really one to ignore a plea for help.
""I'll help out" , he said with a definitive nod. He then turned back to Raven, who had also claimed that she may be of service to the Institute. He smiled down at her, happy to hear that she would join him in Bludhaven.
"Great" , he said with a voice that almost overflowed with relief. He took a few moments to collect his thoughts then looked back down. "I'm a little between teams at the moment", he said with a shrug. "Maybe I'll get the Titans back together?"

Raven was greatly comforted, not only by nightwing's answer, but the emotion she detected in his voice. Yes, she would go to Bludhaven, at least until she could get back on her own feet again, however long that might take.
At the mention of the titans, Raven looked down and away a bit. Those had been good years, one's that she gladly remembered. If Nightwing believed that they could be brought back together, well, the tower still stood in San Fransisco. Raven hadn't heard from any of them in ages, aside from seeing superboy once during a battle oversees.
"I suppose you've been keeping tabs on them, haven't you?" She asked lightly with a slight undertone of sarcasm. Of course he had, that's why he was so good at what he did.

Nightwing glanced down at Raven just in time to notice that she had looked off when he had brought up the Titans.
He crouched down next to her and slid down the wall in silence. "It would make sense" , he said with a small shrug. "There is going to be a lot of postwar problems, and most veteran heroes are worn out from the war. We should start a new Teen Titans.."
Though Nightwing was hardly a teen any longer, why change a good name? He looked at Raven and smiled a little. She knew him well. "Sort of", he said in a unsure tone. "It's been a bit hard though...I've seen a few here and there. Spoiler has been making rounds, and I have seen Wonder Girl..Batgirl..Starfire..Superboy. They're all around somewhere if I can track them down"

Raven sighed very softly, she hadn't guessed that in her absense the states could become so troubled. She listened passivly to Nightwings say before slowly extending a hand to help him up.
"Count me in." She said, sure of herself for the first time in at least a year. "It's high time I helped rebuild something, rather than dystroy it."
