Jacob was walking around Midway City, taking in the sites of this coastal town, rich in history. It use to be a mining town, back in the 1800's and has since become the territory of Hawkman and Hawkgirl, as well as other immortals of late. Jacob was taking somewhat of a break from the mercinary business, felling that with the oncoming birth of his child, he needed to get his mind cleared so he could be there, for him. After all, what good would he be to his futre son and wife, if he were to be killed by a competiter or the Punisher. Not that he had any intention of retireing, seeing as this was the only way he knew to make money.
He walked into a coffee shop, carring his armor in a steel, lead line brief case, and setting down at a table. He rarely took the time to do stuff like enjoy coffee, but seeing how this was his vacation, he figured he could afford to splergue for a time. A cute waitress walked over to him and asked if he was ready.
"Yeah, I'll take a White Chocolet, Almon moch, with whipcream."
She nodded and went to get his coffee.

Conner walked into the cafe he had been out looking for other Teen Titans but wasn't having much luck he had ran into Beast Boy in Keystone city and talked with him for while about different things he had really hoped he would run into Wonder Girl he hadn't seen her in a very long and missed her a lot not that he'd tell anyone that. Sitting down at one of the tables he waited until the waitress she was a cute one flashing her a smile he ordered a burger and fries and a Pepsi.
He watched as she walked off, Cassie would kill him if she caught him checking the waitress out but he was safe unless she suddenly popped up out of no where.

"A wondering eye can get you in some serious trouble, kid. Especally when the girl is older than you."
Jacob said to Connor, as he saw him checking the girl out. Ture, she was hot, long flowing haid and a near perfect body, but that usually meant she had alot of boyfriends, or one older, possesive one. None of those things were good for a young kid. He picked up a papper a nodded to the kid, as he checked out the long legs of another waitress.

Conner looked up to see who was talking to him, he didn't realized someone was watching him when he was checking out the waitress. "Heh, I can take care of my self but thanks for the warning." he said knowing he could handle himself in case her boyfriend if she had one showed up. "Besides last time I checked looking is free as long as I don't touch." Conner said with a smirk.

He smiled aswell.
"Shame noone ever told that to any of my ex's. They always seem to think looking's just as bad as cheating."
Jacob was speaking from experiance on that one, as his mind wondered back to all the girls who had him on a leash at one point or another throughout the years. And even after all those years, he was still no closer to figuring out what makes them tick.
"By the way, names Jacob."
He felt as it was only polite that he introduce himself to the kid, not knowing he was the world famous Superboy.

"You two are really something you know that?" Kate said from the table she was sitting at she had been reading the news paper and over heard what they where talking about. "I'm surprised anyone would want to date either of you from the way you two talk." she said putting down the paper and taking a sip of her coffee.
Kate was taking some time off from the world of superheroing now that the war was over she had enough of the whole for while she hadn't decided if she was going back to it or not. All the things she saw and all the things she had done made her question wither or not she wanted to continue doing what she was doing.

Jacob glanced over at the cute, young, raven-headed girl and smiled.
"See what I mean, kid? You can't get away with anything with them around. That's why it's simply best to admit defeat before they really start going."
He had been in enough relationships to know that the women were the hardest things in the world to understand. He put down his paper as the waitress cameby and gave him his coffee.
"Here you go, ma'ma. Keep the change."
He handed the girl a twenty dollar bill, and was very thankful the coffee here was only six bucks, much cheaper than Starbucks. He looked over at Kate.
"By the way, it is very impolite for a young lady to esdrop on the conversations of others, my dear."

"Conner." He said when Jacob told him his name and chuckled at hearing to two talk "She's been like that since we we're in high school." He said not wanting to tell him how they really met during the war so he lied she didn't seem to care he could tell from just from being around her a while she trusted very few people. And didn't mind telling people off even if they where older or more powerful then she was.

"Highschool, eh? Well that explains something. Darlin, I hate to say it, but compared to most guys here in the real world, I'm simply the boy next door."
This wasn't exactly true, seeing how your avarge guy didn't have a hightech suit of powerarmor that he used to fight in wars and such. Truth was that Jacob was a merc, and his only concern was his own bottom line. To him, all that mattered in life was money and power, something that had brought him into conflict with people like Ironman and Superman time and again.
