At Chaos Theory, I asked members to help me write an advertisement. I wanted to know what kept them around CT so that I'd know what we had to offer that other Star Wars roleplaying boards do not.
Lots of Star Wars boards have good writers. Chaos Theory is no exception. We have enough talented and inventive members that there's no shortage of skill.
Lots of Star Wars boards have lighthearted and positive community atmospheres as well, though sadly not all of them do. On Chaos Theory, discussions of anything from thread planning to politics are carried out respectfully and with plenty of humor. There's no topic that's taboo, because we have members who treat each other like adults.
Lots of Star Wars boards have approachable staff as well. Chaos Theory is a small community of friends who give each other mutual respect. That means the staff does more than demand respect; they give it. The board isn't here to make staffers look good or feel good about ourselves (though I have to say, we're pretty radical folk). The community is here for its members, and anyone who joins is valued.
Star Wars boards all over the internet have these qualities in various mixes. But it's at Chaos Theory that you'll find all three valued highly, and if they're important to you too? Give Chaos Theory a shot. We've got great members to talk with and write with, and great affiliates to ensure the best possible connections to the Star Wars roleplaying community you and I both have come to value.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I hope to see you at Chaos Theory.
