The Character
-------------------------------------------------------------
Cannon or your own: Cannon!
Copyright (Marvel/DC/ect): Marvel!
Characters civilian name: Katherine (Kitty) Pryde
Code names/Aliases: Shadowcat
Class [Superhero, Vigilante, Mercenary..ect]: Superhero!
-------------------------------------------------------------
Gender: Female.
Age: 16 years. [Since this site is taking place long after Shadowcat would have joined the X-Men, I'm assuming she's older. If this is an issue, please tell me!!]
Apparent Age: 16 years.
Hair: Kitty's hair is usually illustrated by a natural brown. Her hair ends a bit passed her shoulders.
Eyes: Her eyes are a bright, delightful hazel.
Height and weight: 5'3 and 110 lbs.
Appearance: Kitty Pryde is very healthy and her shape reflects it. Her skin is slightly tinted with a natural orange. Her whole body is a kindly shape because of her constant activity. Because of her younger age, her face still holds a certain touch of youth, but it could still be considered 'beatutiful'. She is also always seen with the Star Of David around her neck, signifying that she is a devout Jew.

Super Powers:
In casual terms, Shadowcat can phase through things. She does this by rearranging the atoms as she passes through. This also leads to the fact that she can levitate in most cases.
Learned Abilities:
She is naturally very intelligent (taking college courses at the age of 13), and she can hack computers and create programs for them. Also, Kitty Pryde is highly skilled in the arts of aikido, karate, ninjutsu, and Krav Maga. Also, she is a really, really good dancer.
Equipment: I don't believe she uses equipment.
Weaknesses (Must Have): When Kitty phases through things, she can only do so as long as she can hold her breath. She cannot stay hidden in the ground for an attacker for an hour-and-a-half, unless she can hold her breath that long...
Kitty is also easily manipulated when it comes to her close friends and relationships.
Background: Katherine Pryde was born in Deerfield, Illinois. Her mother is Theresa Pryde and her father is named Carmen. Her grandfather brought her into Judaism, and was held in a Nazi Internment Camp during the Holocaust.
Kitty lived a normal life until she developed massive headaches when she turned 13. This led to Emma Frost and Charles Xavier approaching her family, telling her of an academy where she can learn to use the powers she developed through her headaches.
At this time, Frost had attacked with her Hellfire Club, leaving the X-Men to attack, and leaving Kitty to help. After the battle ended and Emma Frost 'perished', her parents wanted nothing to do with the school. Nevertheless, Phoenix erased the memories of the battle from Kitty's parent's minds and replaced them with positive memories, which then they agreed to sending Katherine to the school promptly.
It was then Kitty had some issues with an alias. There was a time where her real alias was "Sprite" until Wolverine dubbed her "Shadowcat".
Personality :
Despite Kitty's highly intelligent mind, she is very down to Earth and humble. She enjoys the 'little things' and spending time with her friends. She becomes cross when her friends are in danger. When it comes time for Kitty to act fast, she does, and she does it well. For the youngest of the X-Men, Shadowcat really packs a punch, huh?
Other:
Nuffin!

Brief Sample Roleplay
The only thing Katherine Anne Pryde could feel was curiosity. Her constant migraines faded as if they had never existed. And there she sat, on the edge of the flower patterned bedsheets, sticking her hand in and out of her bedroom wall. Her mouth hung agape. She thrust her arm in one more, accidentally sending her shoulder through it, leaving her face split through her bedroom and the bathroom through the next door. Kitty's eyes widened in slight fear-- she couldn't breathe! Focus, Katherine, focus!! She told herself impatiently. If she didn't want to die of suffocation, she'd want to concentrate on getting herself out of the wall.
Suddenly, the closed door to her bedroom flung open. In the shock, Kitty was sent flying out of the wall and landing on a shelf that held her large, studious books. Her mother stood at the door with crossed arms, looking slightly irritated.
"What's... What's up, Mom?" Kitty asked hesitantly, attempting to bring the awkward level of the situation down a notch. Her mother stated how she felt this idea of a 'mutant school' was a bad idea. Kitty's face scrunched up in the center as a response. "There's nothing wrong with it! I'm sure I'll still be just as awesome as I am already!" She joked, feigning a smile. Her mother stared at her skeptically before closing the door and muttering a few statements as she walked down the hallway.
Kitty sighed in relief. She didn't want to tell her mother that Kitty felt the same way she did-- but about Emma Frost. Something wasn't right about her...
