The Character
-------------------------------------------------------------
Cannon or your own: Original
Copyright (Marvel/DC/ect): To me of course
Characters civilian name: Christine Leontine
Code names/Aliases: Panthera
Class [Superhero, Vigilante, Mercenary..ect]: Mutant
-------------------------------------------------------------
Gender: Female
Age: 27
Apparent Age: 27
Hair: Blond
Eyes: Blue with vertical pupils
Height and weight: 5’ 8” and 142lbs
Appearance: Christine has blonde hair that flows lightly down to her shoulders and gives her a very sophisticated look. Her bangs elegantly slide to the right and fall into her right eye, hiding it from view. Christine's eyes have a blue green shine to them that would cause anyone to become lost in them in an instant. However, if they are not paying very close atention to the form of her eyes, they would easily pass over the vertical pupil. Her eyes can easily give away that she is a mutant, however some humans have thought them to be contacts. Her smooth cheek bones, shapely small nose and thin lips finish off her face nicely.
Her chest is an endowment that most men obsess over. It has been said that she has the body of a godess and the ones who do not have an eye for detail don't notice the simple flaws in her appearance. Flowing from above her right breast and onto her stomach is a long scar that has never fully healed, even with her healing factor. She normally keeps that part hidden so that no one notices. Going further down on her body, the curve of her body is unmistakable, the flow of the hips leading onto the long legs. These are perhaps the thing that Christine prizes on her body. She has grown acustomed to using her legs for fighting and her flexability also comes into affect with this.
The clothing that Christine wears to cover up her nudity is simple enough when she goes out in casual dress. Jeans adorn her lower body, hugging her hips while her chest is normally covered by a corset top. A black and red choker normally finishes off this wardrobe as well as black etnies. The dresser clothing she wears is a black skirt of tight pants with a nice blouse of a dark color. Boots or heels will be on her feet. When she is fighting or is training Christine has to dress in a tight body suit and have that under her clothing. If not, when she uses her powers and then changes back into human form, she would be stark naked and she would rather nor run around like that. Over the body suit she wears black pants with a belt around the waist and a sword with a ruby on the hilt hanging by her shirt. A tight shirt covers her upper body and over that is a black trench coat that flows around her feet. Around her neck is worn a black chocker with a skull hanging from it.

Super Powers: Christine’s main mutation is that of shape shifting, but unlike the normal shape shifters out there Christine can only shape shift into a certain type of animal and sadly, the only kind of animal she can shape shift into is any animal in the genus of Panthera in the family Felidae. The felines in this genus are any variation of Lions, any variation of Jaguars, any variation of Leopards, and any variation of tigers.
If able to practice and concentrate long enough, Christine has the ability to change her form into an extinct animal from this genus. Although this isn’t as advanced as her being able to change into a normal lion, tiger, leopard or jaguar, Christine has been able to change into Barbary Lion, although you can not truly tell the difference between this extinct animal and its living counterpart.
The other components of Christine’s powers are a healing factor and then something that is a bit strange. You see, aside from the healing factor that can not heal mortal wounds in a split second, Christine has a mental connection with cats. This time this power doesn’t just relate to the felines in the genus of Panthera, it relates to all of the mammals in the family Falidae. With this she is also able to transfer any pain the feline is feeling so that it is placed into her body instead. She can only take small doses of pain now without passing out, but in the future larger doses may be taken.
Learned Abilities: Hand to Hand Combat, Sword fighting
Equipment: Rapier with ruby encrusted hilt, daggers hidden on her person.
Weaknesses (Must Have): You may think that because of her powers there isn’t anything that could cause Christine to have a weakness, well you would be wrong. Her main mutation may not have an actual weakness but it does have a side affect. You see, because of her close attachment to cats and placing herself into the body of a cat, Christine’s mind slowly begins to change. The longer she is in the feline form, the more her mind starts to change into that very animal, making it difficult for Christine to tell friend from foe from time to time.
The healing factor is also a weakness in its own right. Although it can heal scraps and cuts in an instant a bullet wound causes Christine’s entire body to shut down, making her go lip and unconscious so that all her power can be saved for the healing that is taking place. During this time she is very vulnerable to any attack that may take place. Her mental connection with cats is a huge weakness, especially when she tranfers their pain to her body. If Christine takes too much she starts to pass out and lose control of her body. If the power is still being used when she is passed out then her body starts to attack its self from the inside out, causing scratches to appear that the healing factor can not even repair. Because of this, Christine is very cautious to use this power.
Background: The country of France has been known for a long time to be a producer of smart and very cultured people. Armel Leontine was the prime example of that. From a young age, Armel was a successful young man, finding himself enrolled in Oxford and then going on to own his fathers business which was passed down to him when he ‘came of age’. For a man so successful in life he needed a woman who was just as much.
Enter Anna Marie D’Arcy, the child of a famous French actress and producer. Anna Marie had it all as a child, anything she wanted was brought to her, everything she needed has handed to her. So, it made sense she would fall in love with Armel and the two would get married and have a beautiful baby girl.
The fruit of their coupling brought forth a child, a baby girl. The sweetest thing you could ever lay eyes on. They chose the name Christine Desiree for their little girl and then a lavish life was thrusted upon her. Christine was given everything she ever desired and ever wanted. But even with rich and beautiful parents and such a great life, nothing could have stopped what was about to happen.
Christine’s powers manifested. She doesn’t truly recall what it was that caused this to start but she does know that she was twelve years old, around that time she was getting into different kinds of animals and her mother and father even bought her a black panther cub. She was outside playing with the cub when she suddenly felt a pain flow through her body, not knowing what was going on, Christine ran to her mother and father, her body changing all the while. Anna Marie screamed at what she saw and Armel stood dazed, watching his little girl change into a lioness.
When the transformation was complete, the pain pushed Christine’s mind and she attacked her parents, killing them. When the main rushed in, she found Anna Marie and Armel laying on the kitchen floor, but Christine was found outside sitting with her panther, not knowing what had happened. It appears that she has no memory of killing her mother and father because of the pain of the first transformation, but if that is true or not, no one truly knows.
After the first transformation, the others came effortlessly and Christine was able to keep her powers a secret and under control. She was put in her grandfather, Diogenes care after her parents died and the company went back into his control until he thought it was right for his granddaughter to take control. She was sent to the best prep schools money could buy and even got accepted to the same college that her father had gone too.
Christine enjoyed living the rich life, using her money to get what she wanted and do what she thought needed to be done. Once out of college her grandfather gave control over to her and gratefully took up retirement again. Christine has been in control of the company for five years.
She has always known of the troubles mutants like her have been facing and after setting up a branch of her company in New York City, she moved there, just in time to hear about the events that took place on Ellis Island. Although all this trouble is surrounding mutants and there seems to be a war heading their way, Christine has not yet sided with anyone, although she has offered money more then once to Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters, as well as offering help and the technical advances of her company to the X-men.
Personality : Christine's personality is sometimes said to have the sides of two coins, but it is really only one. To say she is entirely there would be an understatement. Upon first meeting Christine she can be one of two things, either very friendly to the point of being annoying or she wants nothing to do with you and she will tell you. This depends on what she has been doing that day and her emotions. You could never meet a more loyal friend or person than Christine. She dies for what she believes in and will die for what her friends believe in if they are in danger of being killed as well. However, this does not make her a selfless person, like any human being she is at fault for being selfish. It is just different when it comes to her friends, her good friends, being close to death.
Her personality is closely related to her mental state, which has, sadly, deteriorated over the years of her being connected to the feline animals. It is at times that Christine actually has the personality of a cat. She is very playful and loves to get what she wants. It is actually sometimes during this that she can become dangerous, her mind doesn't exactly tell the difference between friend or foe when she is in her cat form. Although, when Christine is on her assassin job, she doesn't hesitate to get the job done. Normally she won't kill people unless she is getting paid, but there are times when you have to get rid of some others to get to what you want. She is a cold blooded killer at those very moments in time.
Christine also has a problem with depression that has been with her since her younger years as a child. She doesn't like people to know about that problem she has and she will keep it to herself, the only way you can tell is if you are actually close to her and see her change. This has caused Christine to be a little cautious when getting close to people, but she has decided that she needs more friends then just her cats and of course human beings can be, some of them, sympathetic.
Also like most women, she has a thing for men. Which of course means she is straight. Christine isn't afraid to flirt, especially if it will end with just a fling and no connections. Christine also has a tendency to be a huge tease towards me. She loves to see them squirming because of what she is doing to them. It gives her a certain sense of power. Not to mention that also goes to the feline side of her, since cats are sometimes known as teases. There are certain men Christine loves to sink her claws into, really they have to be rouch and ready for a good 'tumble in the sack'. She thinks love making is fine, but until she finds the right person, she only truly cares about the fun in everything.

Brief Sample Roleplay
Times Square when it was storming seemed to be the best time to get out and walk around, or at least thats what a lot of people thought or were thinking. Christine didn't mind water, she didn't mind when it rained either but she hated lightening and thunder, especially the thunder. It had started to rain or at least storm down and dump water when she was leaving the club she normally worked at in New York. She had gone to tell the owner she was going to be taking a leave for a bit, just so that she could relax and get back into the swing of New York and because of the fact that she was his best dancer, he hadn't complained or anything.
She had reached Times Square and was only fifteen blocks from her apartment when it started to pour down rain. Her eyes closed as she let out a sigh and then bolted towards the nearest building and it just so happened to be a bar, one that she was pretty use to. Her light brown hair appeared darker because of the rain and her clothes were lightly soaked, causing a shiver to run down her spine. Blue green eyes scanned the crowd as she walked towards the bar, noticing the many eyes that fell onto her body.
Christine placed a hand onto the counter and looked at the bartender. The man smiled at her and placed a glass of vodka down. "You know, Kitten. If you want a change of clothes you can run up stairs, I think theres still some of yours left in the guest room." Christine gave a grateful smile to him and leaned over, kissing his cheek softly. "You are a lifesaver Buck." The elderly man blushed as he watched her run up the back stairs.
The clothes she had left here before weren't what she truly wanted to change into, but it would do. She had stashed her assassins uniform here as well as tight pants and a t-shirt that showed off her cleavage very nicely. She dried her hair before letting it fall down her back and leaving the room.
The bar was already starting to fill up, even though it was still pretty early in the morning, Christine was just glad to be out of those wet clothes. She seated herself at the bar, next to some very rough looking guy, although Christine felt her eyes drawn to him more then just once. She sipped the vodka Buck had given her earlier and she turned her head to look at the man beside her, he was speaking to her, she knew that even though he wasn't looking straight at her.
At his words Christine couldn't help but laugh and she placed the glass down. "I've never heard it put that way, most of the time its other women calling me an attention whore." She chuckled softly but then turned her head to look at him again. "But yes, I do suppose I like to draw attention to myself and it would see you do as well." It wasn't a response on his appearance, it was his attitude. A guy who acted or even was a bad ass rebel normally drew a lot of attention, most of the time unwanted.
