The Character
(P.S: I am officially giving up my claim on Fossor in order to have this character)
-------------------------------------------------------------
Cannon or your own: Own
Copyright (Marvel/DC/ect): N/A
Characters civilian name: Ryan Louis Winter
Code names/Aliases: Ghostboy, White Spectre, or Ryan Spirit
Class [Superhero, Vigilante, Mercenary..ect]: Vigilante
-------------------------------------------------------------
Gender: Male
Age: Unknown (Around 16-19)
Apparent Age: Mid to Older Teens
Hair: White
Eyes: Purple
Height and weight: 5'4, assumed 130
Appearance: Ryan doesn't look anything like a normal person should. In his normal "Ghost" form the top half looks like a normal human although from the waist-down he looks like smoke. Sometimes in this form he also seems a bit transperant because of his cells not being as linked together as when he's in his "human" form. This is because he doesn't have enough energy most of the time to make his entire appearance crystal clear. His human form is when he has enough energy to bond the floating atoms together and make him at least human-looking. His hair is white and his eyes magenta all the time whether he is "human" or in his ghost form. Ryan has normal, slightly tannish skin, although if he starts running out of energy the tan immediately drains, showing bluish whiteish skin. No one knows his specific weight since Ryan's cells are are always bonded differently, which messes with the scale though they have managed to guess his general weight. If he's not on vigilante buisness, he wears normal teenager clothes. He switches a lot between costumes, but always wears silver and black as his main colors.

Super Powers:
Flight
Ghostboy has the ability to fly whether he's in his focused "human" form (where his cells bond together more to make him look human) or if he's in ghost form (top half normal, bottom half smoky). However, there is a difference how long he can fly depending on which form he's in and how much energy he has. It is generally harder to fly longer in his human form than in his ghost form. Also there is a big difference in speed because he can fly much faster in his ghost form than his human form.
Intangibility
When he's a ghost and sometimes even when he's not, Ghostboy has the ability to separate his atoms to pass through objects and people. Whenever he's going through an object or just becoming intangible in the air only the outline of him remains, the rest becoming clear if only for a slight bluish tinge. He turns whatever he's touching intangible too, so he can hold someone and make them turn intangible as long as he's holding some part of them.
Mediumship
Ghostboy has the ability to see ghosts automatically. In other words it does not matter which form he's in he'll always be able to see ghosts. Ghosts are able to see him too, but that is limited to when he's in Ghost form. Ghostboy is able to talk, touch, and drain energy from ghosts. Ghosts are one way he gets his energy, although he can also in emergencies drain electricity from the area around him, resulting in cold spots.
Energy Blasts
Ghost boy has the ability to fire pure energy blasts from his hands or his eyes. He can control the intensity of the blasts to barely hurt, stun, severely hurt, or kill, depending on his emotions. They can be focused into blasts or they can also be focused into shields against other blasts. This ability takes up more energy than most and the energy's temperature is far from what normal energy would feel like. Normal Energy would be hotter than normal, but Ghostboy's energy blasts are cryogenic cold. The color of the energy is usually purple, although sometimes it turns green due to anger.
Learned Abilities:
Expert Combatant
Through his many years of being Ghostboy, he has trained under several actual ghosts to learn different types of fighting. He has made his own style out of his years of teaching under Ghost mentors, which he refers to as his 100 years of utter, and complete torture.
Languages
Ghostboy's main language is German, although he does speak English pretty fluently. He is currently learning how to speak Latin from a Ghost that lives in a run down mansion. When he's really frustrated or gets surprised sometimes he goes back to his native German for a split second.
Equipment: N/A
Weaknesses (Must Have): Ghostboy pushed himself to the limit of his intangibility a long time ago a few years after the incident in which he got his powers. The consequences were that he now has to focus really hard to become human-like and it's easiest to just remain a ghost. He's very susceptable to weapons that would harm a spirit, especially when he's in his ghost form. Ghostboy can be killed like any other normal human being, although it is a lot tougher to do it with solid weapons in his ghost form than in his focused human form. However, in his Ghost form he can be killed like any other human being via energy weapons. He can never allow his energy level to go to zero, if it does he'll start becoming more and more ghostlike until he dies and becomes a ghost himself. Normal iron bars can't hold Ghostboy, but energy fields are impossible for him to get out of. The Ghost energy that he gets from the area around him or from ghosts themselves is his life force basically, he stays, in appearance, the same age forever, but if he goes low on this energy he rapidly ages (such as looking and feeling 60 after 10 minutes at most). Ghostboy is susceptible to being possessed by strong spirits, more so because of his soul's connection to the dead. This connection makes his soul "stronger" to sense by malevolent and good spirits.
Background: Ghostboy was born Ryan Louis Winter in a family barely surviving due to a plague. His family had gone to the struggling village to help, but had gotten stuck there after their funding was revoked by the organization that they were working for. To be able to go home, they sold their little boy Ryan, who was around 5 at the time, to the organization. They were allowed to go home and Ryan's last name was taken from him. He became Ghostboy after a genetic experiment went wrong. His "adoptive father" injected him with a serum that was supposed to bring ghosts to the young boy and allow the older man to study them.
Ghostboy immediately began to get severe headaches, as well as start seeing ghosts. The old man figured out that there was something wrong with the serum's makeup and tried to fix the child with a supposed antidote. This also didn't work since the man was far from a person intellectually qualified to do genetic experiments. The serum didn't have any effect and Ghostboy's condition worsened until he, on his 13th birthday, accidentally let his powers out and blowing a huge hole in his "bedroom" (dungeon more like) wall. On further examination, it was found that Ghostboy's blood had turned into a purple liquid, which was a stable version of his energy bolts. The scientist discovered the boy's new body didn't make the liquid stable energy by itself though, and needed nutrition in the form of energy.
Immediately the scientist was ordered by the organization to neutralize the boy, but the boy, nicknamed "Ghost" escaped. Ghostboy escaped from his "home" and went over to America on a ship a long with several other immigrants. It was on this ship that he realized his need for energy after he started to rapidly age on the ship, growing weaker and weaker until he found out how to take energy from ghosts (with their consent) as well as the area around him. It took him several years to discover that his body refused to grow in anything except in hunger for energy.
In only a matter of a few years Ghostboy became a U.S citizen and lived a normal life on the outside. He was secretly hunting for his parents though, and managed to find a few things from different people that were friends of the German Winter family. He met a girl that he liked, a kind hearted city girl named Danielle. Their relationship lasted until he saved her and other teens from a car that had gone into a nearby river. He stretched his intangibility to the limit and "broke" his powers. Ghostboy accidentally showed her his Ghost form, and she ran off screaming about demons. Ghostboy became a loner, helping people whether or not the police wanted him too. Over the years several bounty hunters working for the company have tried to capture Ghostboy for termination, but as of yet they all have failed.
Personality : Ghostboy has a pretty playful personality, often pulling pranks on his peers in order to earn a laugh. His most famous jokes are the ones that he pulls on his enemies though. Ghostboy can often be found jokingly pulling the male enemies' pants down in order to cause them embarrassment. He can be shy around girls, especially really, really cute girls. So far, the only people he's ever been REALLY confident while talking too are ghosts or people who have powers just like him. He also loves to play video games and is pretty good with it besides the occasional "bad day". Under the humor and good cheer though, Ghostboy feels kind of like a freak because how his body doesn't really age and his general powers. He is scared to let someone into his own world of being a ghost-like kid because of what happened with his ex-girlfriend.
Other: He's a fan of jazz music and likes gymnastics.

Brief Sample Roleplay
"What are you gonna do, FLY through me?" the criminal said in front of Ghost form Ghostboy. He had managed to get the criminal from mugging a teenager who had been walking a lone at night, and now the criminal was trying to get the teenage looking Superhero angry enough to get sloppy and therefore earn his own death warrant. However, it wasn't really working, it was actually fueling Ghostboy's mischevious streak. "Oh no, not fly..." Ghostboy said with a smirk, dissapearing into the wall next to him. He went through the wall, appearing right behind the mugger, and blasted him in the back.
The man gave a shriek as he was blasted forward, right towards the arms of the police. "Maybe Blast you to kingdom come, but then again more like into police arms," Ghostboy said, the police getting too near to him. He was a bit confident after beating the mugger that easily, but not confident enough to go against several policemen who had not appreciated the joke. "Aaaaand this is where I take my leave, B'Bye!" Ghostboy said, drifting back into the wall behind him and immediately flying off once he got onto the other side of the wall. "Geez, you think I'm committing a crime the way that these police are going insane over me," Ghostboy said out loud in annoyance as he flew.
