Appearance: Jake has broad shoulders and looks a little muscular. People misjudge his strength and size because of his appearance.

Super Powers: Jake has the ability to transform into any animal, creature, person, etc that has DNA. All Jake has to do is touch the animal that he wants to change into. When he touches to animal, it goes into a trance-like state which helps him get away from the animal. Jake copies the DNA of the animal he touches and the DNA stays in his body forever, so that he can recall the animal anytime he needs to. The animal DNA that he absorbs can not be taken out of his body by getting blood drawn. Also any injuries he sustains while morphed or human disappear when he morphs or demorphs. Since he copies DNA, when he changes back into the animal, the injuries he had in that morph doesn't appear the next time he uses that morph. Also whenever Jake morphs back to human he doesn't retain any injuries from that he had in morph. Jake can talk to other people in animal form, however, it is more like a telepathic talk. He can hear people answers normally, but they hear him in their heads.
Learned Abilities: He will eventually learn to morph with normal clothes (see weaknesses). He has become very good a blending into crowds and seeming to appear out of nowhere when he walks around. Jake does not feel the changes happening in a painful way. He feels it more like he has nova cane, he knows it's happening but it doesn't hurt.

Weaknesses (Must Have): Jake must return to human form before he can change into a different animal. He must wear skin tight clothing whenever he morphs because if he doesn't then he will appear naked when he returns to human form. Morphing is Every animal Jake morphs is different so every time he morphs into an animal for the first time he must overcome the animals instincts. Some instincts are very overwhelming and Jake loses himself in the animals instincts. After a while he is able to regain his senses and overcome the animals instincts and control the morph the way e wants to. Jake must be conscious for him to morph. Jake is very vulnerable while he is in mid morph because of the changes. When in human form he feels very vulnerable because he has no way of protecting himself unless he morphs.
Background: Jake grew up with only one older brother. His parents Dave and Marie Porter were regular humans even as Jakes older brother Todd grew up normally. When Jake was 13 years his brother was in a serious accident that left him needing serious attention and physical therapy. Jake and his brother had always been close. Because of the accident Jake was very worried about his brother.
About that same time he began to feel differently. When he would spend time with his dog he noticed the dog acted differently than he used to around Jake. Jake also felt like the dog was becoming part of him.
Just before Jake fell asleep one night he pictured the dog in his mind and he changed into the his dog. It took Jake hours before he could figure out what had actually happened to him. Finally he changed back to human, scared and naked. He was so scared of what happened that he didn't even want to think about it for weeks.
Personality : Jake is a naturally likable person. However, since his mutation took effect he was very suspicious of people because they might find out and hurt him.
Other: Jake has a pet golden retriever named Dash. Jake spends lots of time at the zoo so that he can practice morphing without being to obvious. Also it is a great way for him to get more animal DNA that he can use.

Brief Sample Roleplay
Jake laid in bed, relaxing from a perfect days bike ride and game of baseball with his friends. He had no worries for the time being, school was out for the summer, his family was happy, his friends seemed to all be hanging around for the summer instead of going off in their own directions.
Then the unthinkable happened, Todd was in a very bad car accident. Jakes entire family went to the hospital immediately after they found out about it. Todd was in a coma for a few days, during that time Jake spent much of his time locked up in his room with his dog. He spent a lot of time crying and hugging Dash, his dog. During that day Jake felt the biggest change ever, he noticed that his dog went stiller than he normally did when Jake was petting him. He removed his hand and felt like a part of Dash was in his skin. After a few seconds the dog went back to his normal wagging and happy nature.
That night Jake couldn't help but think about what he felt when his removed his hand from the dog. He pictured the dog in his head and suddenly felt the changes take place. Fur began to grow all over his entire body, his ears migrated to the top of his head and his face shrunk down and elongated to form a muzzle. His eyes traveled closer together and he began to shrink down to the size of his golden retriever. Jakes bones shifted around for him to run faster, and finally to complete the transformation a tail grew out of his butt.
He was fully awake at this time and confused. He felt the dogs instincts kicking in. The animal was happy and full of energy. He got carried away with the retriever's playfulness and joy of life. Then Jake's own fear set in.
<What's going on? What's happened to me?> He was so confused he couldn't make sense out of anything. After many hours passed and he was able to get control of himself again and say to himself, <Your a boy not a dog. Get a grip Jake.> Since this was all new he was unable to keep his thought from being heard by other people. That attracted his parents attention.
"Jake are you okay?" Jakes mom opened his bedroom door and poked her head in. <Yes, Yes. I'm fine.> Jake was scared, he didn't want his parents to know, not right now anyways. "Okay. Love you. Good night." She said closing the door again and leaving him alone again. <Whew, that was close.> Jake said a lot quieter than he'd been talking before.
Many more hours went by and by this time everyone in the house was fast asleep including the real dog. Jake had been thinking the entire time of how this happened in the first place. Eventually he said, <I remember. I was thinking about Dash and pictured him in his head. Maybe if I do that again I will return to normal.> He laid down and closed his dog eyes so he could focus better. Jake pictured Dash in his head. Nothing happened so Jake tried it again. Still nothing happened.
He began thinking some more and eventually it came to him. <What if I picture myself instead of picturing Dash. Well why not. I've tried everything else.> Again Jake closed his eyes and this time focused on himself. He saw himself just like he was starring in a mirror. The changes started to take place, instantly reversing him back to human. The tail went limp and shriveled up until it disappeared. His bones shifted, he started to grow, his furn receded, his paws changed back into hands, and his face returned to normal. Before Jake knew it he was laying on the floor naked and human. He was so happy about it he didn't care that he was naked or that he was on the floor. He was back to normal and that's all that mattered to him.
