Height and weight: 7ft, 300 lbs
Appearance:Barda is a tall and intimidating, but beautiful woman. She has long, black hair, often hidden beneath the helmet she initially wore as a member of the Female Furies, and her eyes often shine, with a variety of emotion, from delight and love, to the fire of rage. Her face is one of those that conveys her emotions well, portraying her rage during intimidation (which often convinces her opponents to lay down their arms before she strikes, or her love, often for her husband, Scott.

Super Powers:New God Physiology: The beings of New Genesis call themselves Gods and live outside of normal time and space in a realm called the Fourth World. These New Gods have evolved due to their close proximity to the Source, a primeval energy, believed to be one of the ultimate foundations of the Universal Expression of Energy, along with their superior technology, into beings of genetic stability and evolutionary perfection. The denizens of New Genesis are immortal, stronger, faster, and smarter than homo sapiens, despite their resemblance to the same.
Super Strength: Barda's super strength comes from her heritage as a member of New Genesis, where all of the people of that realm are genetically superior to normal humans in their physical characteristics. She was later augmented by Darkseid to further increase her strength and stamina twenty-fold. Barda's strength is nearly on the order of Wonder Woman's, easily surpassing 100 tons.
Super Reflexes
Super Stamina: Barda's stamina and endurance is nothing short of amazing. Due to the naturally exhausting and extensive rigors of her life on Apokolips, Barda is able to manage her stamina on a certain amount of rest and sustenance (more than minimal) so that it seems she is able to constantly function, though this is not entirely the case. Tied directly to her strength and invulnerability, even her immunity to a certain extent, Barda can actually function at peak efficiency for almost 48 hours before needing to eat and rest off the stress.
Immortality: Barda was born in the year 1748 (As far as Earth dates go, anyhow.) Like few other of the New Gods, Barda is functionally immortal, having ceased aging physically near the age of 30. Unless she falls in battle, Barda is immune to the ravages of time, and could easily live for thousands upon thousands of years.
Invulnerability: Even outside her armor, Barda is fairly difficult to damage. She is resistant to blunt trauma like punches, kicks, and blows from weapons like bats and maces, though not -completely- immune; unless the blows a dealt by a being with similar or greater strength than Barda, there just isn't a chance of injury. However, her invulnerability does not extend to bullets, laser-blasts, or other piercing/slicing weapons - her invulnerability is more akin to that of an Amazon, rather than a Kryptonian.
Learned Abilities:Hand to Hand: Barda was trained by Granny Goodness, both personally and by being pitted against her other 'children', to be the best. Barda was trained in both basic and advanced hand-to-hand techniques, as well as just how to make the most of her level of strength. Barda outclasses every other warrior ever trained on Apokolips - the only times she's ever been defeated were a result of facing overwhelming odds on her own. On the basis of skill alone, she outclasses both Superman and Orion, but is an equal match for Wonder Woman.
Computer Ops: The worlds of Apokolips and New Genesis are far more advanced on a technological level than almost any world still existing. Even on Earth, with more 'primitive' technology, Barda possesses a great deal of skill in operating computers and getting from them what she wants or needs. Just about anything outside the realm of programming or repairing computers, she can do. Though since there are those on Earth far more skilled than she is with the native technology, Barda generally limits the breadth of her skill to helping maintain the Fourth World technology the Justice League has possession of.
Interrogation: Barda is a skilled interrogator, easily slipping into 'Bad Mood' mode in order to get accurate information. She is, without a doubt, the Quintessential 'Bad Cop' - she's not beyond getting physically aggressive with her subjects, either. How far she's willing to go all depends on what's at stake.
Leadership: Barda knows how to be a good leader - how to organize others, how to make the most of their strengths and utilize the group to minimalize overall weaknesses. Barda knows all about the chain of command, from her days as a lowly dog soldier to her eventual leadership of the Female Furies. However, Barda's leadership style works far better with smaller groups of up to 10 people or so - able to lead quick strike missions, task forces, and patrols with great success.
Tactics: Trained by Darkseid's Master Strategist, Granny Goodness, Barda is an exceptionally skilled tactician and strategist. She's able to analyze an enemy's strengths and weaknesses and use that knowledge to her best advantage. She knows how to formulate a plan of attack, and how to amend that plan as needed on the field.
Survival: On Apokolips, survival isn't an option - it's life or death, every day is an exercise in continued survival. Barda can handle herself, come hell or high water, on Apokolips. She knows where to go, what to do, what -not- to do, what not to touch, eat, or come close to. Granted, since she's basically the equivalent of a Celebrity/Wanted Felon on her home plane and has been since she escaped, she doesn't have much opportunity to show off this level of skill. This has translated to camping and wilderness situations on Earth, however. She could live off the land indefinitely (though certainly not comfortably) as long as there's enough water/food/etc. in the surrounding area to do so.
Equipment:She is also known for her use of the Mega-Rod, a small, slender device that allows interstellar travel. It can generate a force field that protects it's inhabitants from atmosphere, or lack thereof, and is capable of emitting concussive and disintegrative beams.
She is also equipped with the Mother Box, a small, sentient computer that is capable of opening dimensional portals, as well as numerous other functions.
Aero-Disks
Weaknesses (Must Have):Barda's main weakness is her emotions. A born warrior, she is often too quick to launch herself in battle without judging the consequences, meaning she could be on the receiving end when she goes up against someone stronger than herself.
She is also naive to many of Earth's customs, still, despite having lived on the planet for a few years now, and is still learning, hence she may unintentionally upset some if she accidentally does something considered taboo.
Background:Barda was born of the race of New Gods about 250 years ago, on Apokolips. She is a product of Granny Goodness' Home for Orphaned Youth. Granny's motto is "Die for Darkseid" (the planet's evil ruler). Granny grooms Barda to one day lead the Female Fury Battalion, a ferocious pack of women warriors. However, during a raid Barda meets Scott Free, Darkseid's adopted son, and, sensing a peace about him, falls in love.
Barda risks her own safety to help Scott escape from Apokolips. Eventually, Barda turns her back on Granny, and comes to Earth herself. Scott has become an escape artist called Mister Miracle, and is teamed with Oberon, his diminutive manager. Scott and Barda are married by Scott's father, the Highfather of New Genesis.
In a reversal of the stereotype associated with female characters at the time of her creation, Barda is physically more powerful than her husband, is more than willing to use her strength in battle, and is very protective of her husband.
For a number of years, Barda follows Scott and Oberon on tour. Eventually they retire as superheroes and move to Bailey, New Hampshire. However, despite their best attempts, a normal life eludes them. Disasters plague them; Barda, Scott, and Oberon leave Bailey and move to a loft in Greenwich Village, New York City. Barda forms a defense-training program for women called the New Female Furies. (During this time, Barda and Superman are captured and mind-controlled by Sleez, who plans to force the two to perform in an adult film. At the last moment they are rescued by Mr. Miracle.)
Though naive regarding Earth customs, Barda relishes her roles of wife and housekeeper. However, when duty calls she never hesitates to assume the posture of a warrior, and when Scott joins the Justice League, Barda participates in several missions. After his time with the JLI, the two leave Earth for New Genesis. However, they soon return to Earth and take up temporary residence aboard the Justice League Refuge. During this period the couple separate briefly due to Scott's lack of consideration for her feelings.
Barda has served as a member of the JLA in her own right: at Takion's order, she and fellow New God Orion are sent as agents of New Genesis to serve on the team. (Takion predicts that the Earth faces a grave threat.) Their mission is to help mobilize Earth's heroes against the omnipotent Mageddon. Once Mageddon is defeated, Barda and Orion resign from the JLA.
Barda and Scott currently reside in the suburbs of Connecticut and are active adventurers. Barda never hesitates to lend a hand to her friends when her power and expertise are needed.
Barda accompanies Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman to Apokolips to rescue Supergirl from Darkseid's clutches, and accepts an invitation from Oracle to become the heavy-hitter on the Birds of Prey.
A similar-looking character named Little Barda appeared as a member of the Teen Titans in 52; the character leaves the group in the same issue. Her relationship to Big Barda is unknown.
In a confrontation with the Secret Six, she engages Knockout, another ex-Fury, in hand-to-hand combat. Although the fight was long and was continued above all other worries, it ended in a draw.
Personality :Barda is a relative newcomer to the planet Earth, and as such, tends to approach new things with a sense of wonder. Investigative, she can put her warrior instincts on the backburner, and use her mind carefully. She is an expert tactician, though dependant upon the situation, her warrior instincts do take over, and she will charge into a situation.
She has a deep rooted hatred of Darkseid and his followers, unable to understand the monarch's desire for the Anti-Life Equation, and as such, she has become determined to block his efforts at every turn. In direct opposition to her hatred of Darkseid is her love for her husband, Scott Free. The two share a deep bond, having been brought up under similar conditions, and sharing the same status now, that of refugee. She occasionally becomes frustrated when she feels he's ignoring her, but eventually, the two of them reconcile. She pays no mind to the fact that she's the bigger, stronger member of the couple, though she often wonders if it concerns Scott.
She also enjoys her life as a wife and housekeeper, though given that she's relatively new to the concept, she has plenty of time to tire of it.

Brief Sample Roleplay It was a late night in Gotham and Oracle had had been watching a gang that has been shipping in illegal weapons through an abandon warehouse. She has sent her strongest bird, Barda. Those guys need a rude awakening, she thought.
"Oracle, I'm in" said Barda in the com-link.
"Alright, Barda. Stop them and make sure they are all there. I already called the police and they are on their way. You have two minutes to stall them."
"You should have given me more time. I wanted to make them pay." she said before Barda could sign off the night sky lit up as an asteroid came crashing down a few blocks away. "Barda what was that?" Oracle asked "An asteroid I think I'm gonna check it out." She said then signed off as she jumped off the roof and headed towards the crash sight.
Once there Barda made her way into the crater and over to the rock it cracked opened and released a gas right into Barda's face. She began cough and cough What in the world was that? she thought before doubling over in pain.
