Copyright (Marvel/DC/ect): IDW Publishing
Characters civilian name:Winifred Burkle (host body)
Code names/Aliases:Illyria
Class [Superhero, Vigilante, Mercenary..ect]:Well she's a God and a little bit of a Hero?
-------------------------------------------------------------
Gender: Real gender unknown. Currently female due to host body
Age:unknown but older then man kind
Apparent Age:20's
Hair: Brown (with shades and strands of blue)
Eyes: Ice blue
Height and weight: 5'8 115lbs (thin)
Appearance: Illyria in her true form is a towering, frightening demonic super-entity with numerous tentacles for appendages, wielding twin bladed weapons.
But that was the old days.
Now Illyria currently resides in the body of 20-something Winifred “Fred” Burkle. In her “natural” form, she is pale, with tints of blue on her neck and arms, with brown and blue hair, and eyes an unnatural ice-blue. Her build is the same waiflike form her human host had, though she stands with a firm confidence that almost defies this. Illyria dons an elaborate red leather body suit with black high heels and gloves, covering her whole body from the neck down and lets her hair drape down along her shoulders and back.
In her “Fred” guise, she takes on the full appearance of her human host body. Illyria morphs her body suit into a variety of things Fred may wear, often consisting of a simple blouse, skirt, and heels or boots. Fred has large, brown eyes that practically give away her curiosity shared by scientific minds worldwide, and long brown hair that goes along her shoulders or in a ponytail. While she does not have a supermodels figure nor is she particularly filled out, Fred is still pretty enough to get a few glances.

Super Powers:Illyria has tremendous strength quite possibly capable of throwing large vehicles through concrete walls and near invulnerability in which weapons of all kinds would shatter on impact. Illyria also has the ability to manipulate the fabric of time, allowing herself to move impossibly fast, temporarily stop or slow down time in areas around her, and create rifts in the time-space continuum, allowing her to cross dimensions freely. She can also communicate with plants. Illyria is still a very skilled fighter, showing exceptional brutality in combat.
Learned Abilities:Illyria also has the ability to assume the form of and simulate the personality of her host body at will, and can “sense” species, able to differenciate humans, mete-humans, mutants, and other various species when in close proximity of them.
Equipment:none sometimes uses axes
Weaknesses (Must Have):There is also a spell which can exorcise Illyria, but it would also carry the side effect of killing anyone between her and the Deeper Well as her deadly essence will instinctively grab onto them on its trip there.
When not in the Fred persona, Illyria’s social skills are abysmal. She is still getting used to living in and sustaining her new body properly, and thus sometimes must rely on the Fred persona for human interactions.
Background:Illyria is one of the legendary Old Ones, an original pure demon from the Primordium Age who ruled territory that included modern-day California. She was one of the most feared of all the Old Ones and ruled from her citadel, Vahla ha'nesh, which corresponds to modern-day Los Angeles. However, Illyria was defeated and murdered by her many rivals.
When the Old Ones lost their claim over this world, Illyria's corpse was placed in a stone sarcophagus, her powers were drained and placed in jewels embedded on her coffin. Her sarcophagus was placed in a mystical graveyard known as the Deeper Well along with the coffins of other Old Ones. A warrior of good and his army were assigned to guard the Deeper Well to prevent anyone from extracting one of the coffins, as the Old Ones are capable of resurrection. In the 20th century, the Keeper of the Deeper Well was Drogyn the Battlebrand.
Before falling, Illyria planned her resurrection. She hid her temple in a different time plane, rendering it completely intangible, until she could return to open the gateway and enter it. Illyria's army was placed there as well, waiting to be raised once again by its leader. However, sometime in the passing centuries, the army was destroyed, leaving only dust in its place.
As preordained, Illyria's sarcophagus is teleported to the general area of Los Angeles, but due to continental shifting, it ends up outside of the United States of America. Somehow, it is delivered to U.S. soil, but is held up in Customs on its way to Wolfram & Hart. Dr. Sparrow manipulates Charles Gunn into releasing the sarcophagus in exchange for fixing his brain enhancements. Knox, Illyria's self-fashioned Qwa'ha Xahn (High Priest) and the mastermind behind her resurrection, has the sarcophagus delivered to Fred Burkle at Wolfram & Hart's science lab. Curiosity draws Fred to the sarcophagus, and when she touches one of the coffin's embedded crystals, Illyria's essence is released into Fred's body. Illyria's spirit acts as an infection that liquefies Fred's organs, hardens her skin, and allegedly consumes her soul. After hours of agony, and despite Angel and Spike traveling to Illyria's former prison in an attempt to find a way to draw her out of Fred, Fred's body is completely taken over by Illyria, who also absorbs her memories (which she later likens to "sparks"). With the aid of Knox, Illyria attempts to bring about the destruction of humankind by resurrecting her ancient army.
Personality :Illyria social skills in this day and age would be compared to a Tolkien elf with a punch that could smash in the front of a Mack truck. When not adopting the “Fred” persona, Illyria speaks in an impassive, monotone voice with a sentence structure similar to that of the Middle Ages. It is fitting, as few things hold her interest for long, due to having spent millennia seeing things even the most obsessive dimension-travellers would never see in their lives on a normal basis. She tends to talk down to humans with a strait-forward bluntness as it continues to baffle her as to how they could have survived so long with their constant wars and petty power struggles.
When she assumes her “Fred” guise, Illyria merely takes on Fred’s personality. Fred speaks in a light Texan accent that seems to have faded a little during her time in LA and is generally nice, if slightly neurotic girl with an occasional tendency to rant when excited about something. She seems to have an air of innocence to her that comes with a highly inquisitive mind and a liking towards science.
