Code names/Aliases: Ecks, Kei

Gender: female
Age:16
Apparent Age:18(ish, at best)
Hair: ink black
Eyes: grey/violet
Height and weight: five foot six, 110
Appearance: Recently, Keira has made a kind of sacrifice of her hair and cut it to a good length shorter than what it was. Now it is a short mop of ink black hair with the occasional glint of violet. It makes a contrast with her light skin that makes her a monochromatic image when she wears black or grey. Her facial features are composed of tricky wide almond eyes that switch from cloudy gray to silver to shades of purple when her moods change. Her nose, pixie-like, has a habit of twitching in animal fashion. She’s built like a slacker that could have done well in sports that require more agility and balance than pure strength such as volleyball or swimming.

Super Powers: Telepathy-the strongest, most-developed, most controlled ability Keira has, to hear others, speak to others, cause hallucinations, the one she treasures most as well. Goes wrong when she sleeps and loses her grip on it, it takes her into other’s nightmares and cause sleep related problems, which have taken their toll on her more than once, mainly, causing partial insomnia.
Teleportation-The ability to disappear from one place and reappear in another within the area of fifteen miles, works on objects as long as she’s holding them, doesn’t work so well on liquids
Learned Abilities:
lock picking-when the potential to do good is instead used for the less than respectable, you end up with keira’s innate ability to pick locks to nearly any domestic abode.
Stalking-may sound dishonorable at first glance, but Keira has it down to a science in tracking down people, it could pay off in a career someday as a detective, but time has yet to truly tell which side of the law she will be living in.
Equipment:Batty Bag -constant black bag with gray bats printed, usually has a camera or some kind of spray paint can, maybe lunch on occasion.
Weaknesses (Must Have):Paranoia-Kei has very little actual trust in people, those she trusts she is also weary of sometimes, constantly waiting for some sort of trick to be pulled.
Sleep deprivation-insomnia, sleep walking, other nightmares, Kei sometimes prefers to attempt to avoid them by staying awake, which occasionally promotes the paranoia even more.
No control in sleep-during sleep, Keira loses her handle on her abilities and can find herself on rooftops, parks, other people’s nightmares or end up handing her own nightmares off to other people. It’s a problem she is working on.
Background: Selene Grey died when Keira was six, leaving a will yet to be seen, and without any stated guardian to Keira, since no relatives were found. Although the records will state cause of death as an overdose, Keira can swear to foul play. Especially since Selene had only ever used holistic medicines around the house and visits to the doctor when needed. This took Keira through a colorful set of foster homes that steadily took her trust in the human race in the form of a troubled priest (that went insane within months of showing his true colors and was admitted into Arkham. Most unfortunately)and perfect plastic suburban family, none of which have measured up to Keira’s needs.
In even the darkest clouds there is a silver lining, and that is that within the years encased with loonies for guardians, Keira found her telepathy through boredom in a series of sermons. It came early enough with puberty, which did not help with her transition at all, mind you, but did provide for some easy good grades. Things were beginning to look good, considering the side effects of the new ability and the growing obsession of the strange girl with certain giant bats, until a second ability reared its head. Teleportation was many, many, times worst than simple sleepwalking, and caused many near-heart attacks, but, reasonably, it did save on gas and money. Not to mention stalking, and less honorable goals, maybe, after all, Keira is only a young woman. Through this Keira could keep up the face of an abnormal but normal teen, with more trophies for basic self defense than beauty pageants, not that anyone is complaining. Other than the people that crossed her on bad days, when her resistance to being downright mean were nonexistent. She enjoys long walks on the beach, stalking, tattoos carnivals, and having lunch miles away from school where she should be.
Although most of her favorite things to do (one or two of which can be found in records at the local PD)have been put on hold by the latest person to take in the odd girl, a man with integrity and honesty…a colonel by the name of Collins who really hardly represents either of those two traits in the dark corners of life that matter. All that counts, strange personalities aside, is that Kei managed to let some trust get past her paranoia to coexist with the colonel.
Personality : Kei has a guarded personality when she feels alone and somewhat vulnerable, but typically tends to behave in a way that reflects the emotions that people need when they are around her. Her basic mood is a quirky kind of quiet happiness that would be cute in a way if it didn’t give off the feeling of a coming strike of lightning. The same kind of flicker of this personality can be just as quick in the opposite direction in making her feral quickly.
The giddiness Keira has naturally can stay bottled up sometimes, but when released it’s a volatile thing that takes the form its environment provides for. She can be loyal to a ridiculous level uncommon among modern day people, then there is the slightly disturbing habit she has of behaving more like a knight in shining armor than a princess. She has a firm footing in being just as chivalrous as the boys, and panics more than regular girls her age around the opposite gender when confronted
Other:Keira has a bad habit of stalking and calling it a hobby.

Brief Sample Roleplay It's good to be home, it's one of the most unique feelings on earth, that feeling of no place being quite like it. It was a nightmare or a dream, it wasn't like any other place on earth, and that was not always a good thing. In the city of darkness, so it was called, so it was. It was the home of Keira, where she really found herself, it was the only place she knew she could really be herself, as cynical, as sadistic, as cold and distant as she wanted to be. The irony of it being that she couldn't be nearly as isolated within herself as she wanted to be, not anymore. There was a risk in knowing her nowadays, a risk in being family. She had only one person to worry about, she was putting him on the line, being unregistered and being simply unable to stay out the shadows. Gotham's shadows were like no other city's. They hid the faces of vicious people holding sharp things and wearing smiles, just as much as they were always there when a girl needed something to hold her.
