Faced with the introduction of the Mutant Registration Act, mutants worldwide are struggling to find some sort of sanction. Charles Xavier's X-Men, meanwhile, continue to harbor mutant refugee children, as well as a few adults, and look toward their goal of mutant and human co-existence. Their lives have become a constant struggle for justice and survival among a world that sees all mutants as monstrous fiends of a less-worldly nature. All mutants were deemed outlaws, outcasts of the society that they'd once flourished in.
There are a number of horrors on the horizon. Rumors of something called Project: Wideawake has everyone trembling with anticipation. Something Sinister seems to be lurking around every darkened corner. And something capable of changing the world forever glints in the eyes of all of mutant-kind's future.
We are now accepting both canons and non-canon characters.
