Kyle had seen it a thousand times, but that never made it any less disturbing. They were a dark secret thus far, though the right people knew about them. The government namely, and the masses of bounty hunters and mercenaries that were now a constant threat. In recent times these same man hunters had grown in both numbers and in ruthlessness. Today they were a force to be reckoned with. And today Kyle felt as though he may well be the one with whom they reckoned.
He knew he wouldfind one here. It was inevitable. He would find one of the nearly impenetrable prisons that these underground groups of both human and superhuman mercs and bounty hunters had created. Here is where they bought and sold people. Where they traded heroes like playing cards. It wasn't all that hard anymore, with so many groups disbanded and so many heroes in broken spirits. These men and women would go off and kidnap Untouchables and Untouchable cohorts. They seemed to concentrate on the ones who had little to know powers. Or those that relied on weapons or science. They would whisk away family members at times, to lure the Untouchables out. They would be taken to hidden jails and held there, often brutally, until their captors traded them to either the American government...or to their enemies who did god knows what with them.
With so many that he knew still missing, Kyle Rayner began to search the city, ready to fight whoever might have the slightest involvment...and to save who he could. His black hair was whipped through the wind as he spotted someone on the clean sidewalk below, someone that looked out of place.

Theo was searching for his past, his explorations and investigations had lead him here. The symbol that he now wore on his black scale plated armored chest, the black moon with a silver outline, had been seen in this prison, he wanted to know who had it and where they got it. He was walking down a side walk, his black hair lightly stirring in the air and his eyes were focused. He lifted his hands and was lifted into the air, his eyes a misty gray.
He stared at the prison and looked for guards, his eyes going bluish silver lightning crackled all around him, and his eyes now crackled with energy. As he reached a sufficient height he noticed he wasn't alone, he saw one of the legendary Lantern Corp. He looked at the Corp-man from the corner of his eye and waited...

"LET ME OUT!", Courtney screamed at the top of her lungs as she wrapped her hands around the thick metal bars. She received no answer for all of her shouting, and she slowly sank back into her cell. There were several things that Courtney did not know at the time, as well as a few things she did know. She closed her eyes and rested her forehead against the cold, smooth wall. She began to sort things out in her mind.
She knew that she had been taken from her bedroom. Drugged and moved here, her staff and belt either still tucked away at home or it had been stolen and was somewhere nearby. She was powerless at the moment, and she knew several others were in her situation. If only she could see who. But she couldn't. She had no idea who brought her here or how long she would be here. What she did know is that they were using her. Using her to get to the big timers. The untouchables. She was just a stepping stone. That's what really scared Courtney, that she was nothing.
A man walked by, his guns and ammo belted and bolted across his person. Courtneys eyes slowly drifted open and she glared up at him. "Where am I?", she demanded to know. This outdated prison wasn't familiar to her, and seemed to clash with Coast City itself. "You're in hell, kid", the man said with a smirk before he began to walk away. Courtney felt a rush of anger rip through her body, and she jolted suddenly. Her arm reached out from between the bars and she stretched to reach him. It wasn't long until she retreated, slipping her arm back inside. "You're going to be very sorry very soon", she threatened.

The perfect plan. Conner wasn't usually one for subterfuge and stealth, but this idea was just too good to pass up. He had been waiting to gain access to one of these prisons so he could do some damage to one, if not bring the whole place down around their ears. He had come up with the absolute best plan. Masquerade as a hero with no powers, and wait for the armed guards to show up. Taking on the hastily thought up moniker "Kid Liberty" he had borrowed some gadgets from Robin and started patrolling Boston. It only took so long for someone to notice him and get fed up with that silly name and the even sillier costume, which, for several reasons shall remain mysterious in nature.
They had come for him when he was eating breakfast, in a hotel room. They figured a couple tranquilizer darts and he was down for the count, and that's what he wanted them to think. As they pushed him, hands cuffed behind his back and body beaten and bruised, he scanned the cells for someone he could use, someone he could trust. He looked like someone who had been grabbed before running off to work, button-down shirt not tucked in, belt hanging idly, unfastened, jeans and regular tennis shoes, glasses. He was about ready to just take whoever was in the next cell, and he did. Blonde, he didn't recognize her right away, looked like she had been nabbed in the middle of sleeping, he could tell by the hair. He Looked up at the two men dragging him along. He spoke quietly, under his breath.
"Sorry fellas." He turned his powers back on. There was a loud snapping sound as his hands pulled apart the cuffs. He slammed the two guards' heads together, just hard enough to knock them out. He threw the glasses to the side and took the button-down off, underneath was the good old red and black t-shirt, he fastened the belt and looked at the girl in the cell, it was dark and he couldn't see her very well. "I want these jerks to know who did this to them." He smiled. Approaching the cell, he easily ripped the locked door from its hinges. "That probably triggered a silent alarm somewhere. I need somebody to run around the place and let the heroes out while I run interference on the guards, you able and willing?"

Courtney sat there, her back to the bars and her head hanging limply as she tried her best to sort out how she would escape. As she stared down in her pajama pants she suddenly heard something very interesting. The noises were obviously that of a scuffle and Courtney crept forward quietly. Through the darkness, she tried her best to make out who was there and what was happening.
In almost an instant there was a figure right before her eyes, and the door to her cell was destroyed. She stared up, not sure whether to be thankful or frightened. The response quickly came when her eyes met the S symbol that was displayed on the strangers chest. It was quite easy to make out the features. There stood her new Justice League team mate, Superboy. She grinned madly and quickly threw her arms around him. "Man, am I glad to see you!", she exclaimed. "It's Stargirl", she whispered so that he knew she wasn't just some random dumb blond. She took a step around Conner, and stared down the hall. "Ready and dying to!", she said with a smile as she started rallying those trapped behind bars.

Jubilee was newly returned to the US, almost as soon as she had set foot in California she had been drugged and hauled off as an enemy of the State. She was in a room hidden in the lowest levels of the prison and was given a mutant suppression drug in her food and water every day, so she wouldn't blow the place sky high. She was trying to figure out how to get out, "Damn, why is it that Logie isn't here when I need him?" She kicked the door and then hopped on one foot as she had bruised her foot.

"Give me a second." Conner said, searching through one of the guards. He sifted through all the weapons and emergency equipment that every one of the guards seemed to have, always good to be prepared when dealing the these kind of people. He reached into a Velcro pocket on the guard's jacket. "Hahah!" He exclaimed. "Keys. Stars, take them, see if there's an armory or storage module somewhere where they're keeping everyone's equipment, might need it." He smiled. "Don't worry, I'll be making so much noise, they won't even care if they see you out of the cell. Good Luck." He tossed the keys to her.
Conner stood from the crouching position he had taken and walked to the wall across from him. He pushed against it gently, judging the thickness of the wall. Unfortunately he was too distracted to think the problem through so he just went for it. He punched, very hard, there was now a five foot hole in the wall. He hovered through it and nodded at the girl he didn't know hopping on one foot.
"'Sup?" He said, and kicked down the door. Guards outside the door, Six of them, all trained their weapons on Conner. He held a hand up. "Guy Gardner's first rule of super-heroics..." He grabbed the nearest guard and swung him around the circle of men by the feet, knocking out most, with the exception of the guard who had been swung. Conner through hem against a wall, that did the job. "When in doubt, break something." He said calmly. Wow, he thought, My first witty banter with an enemy since being rehabilitated. He smiled and continued with the distraction, barely noticing the cuts on a couple of his knuckles from the wall, he would have to watch himself and make sure he kept his telekinetic field up.

Kyle watched as a young man was taken in by two gun toting men. He took to watching the trio like a hawk, nearly ignoring the man who roamed the sky next to him. Green Lantern observed carefully as to where the men where dragging their new prisoner off to. Before long they had reached what looked like the thick and stoney doors to what could only be an underground series of holding cells.
Kyle zoomed downward after the group that had just used an access code to step inside the secreet venue. He hovered for but a brief second before using his ring to send a low power blast to the locking mechanism, destroying it and allowing the hero inside. He quickly took to disarming the men who rushed him with his ring, and sent them bashing into a wall. He stood in silence fora few seconds after the men were all knocked out. He was at a crossroads and was not yet sure to go left or right. After some deliberation he chose to go left, finding himself walking down a series of cells. Some were empty, but Kyle quickly used his ring to open those that weren't. Upon reaching the last room, he peeked inside to see a very distraught looking young woman with short back here.
"I guess you're about ready to get out of here?"
He walked forward with a small smile before he destroyed the locks and swung her cell door open.

Jubilee looked up and saw that a Lantern was in front of her cell. "No, I love it here, they are great prison guards, and lovely people." She said with her signature sarcasm. She walked past him and cursed that her powers weren't working. She decided the all too handy fists would have to work and decked a guy that had been a little to handsy when she first got here. "If I had my powers, your hands would be smoldering and ruined." She growled and looked back at the Lantern "Do you know where the medical room is?"

Theo glared at the men in the towers surrounding the prison, he waved his hand and bolts of lightning flew towards the towers striking at various points along the base, causing the towers and guards to come crashing to the ground. He flew forward and blasted several holes in the walls and for those who could fly, or wanted a quick way out, he would lower them to the ground and make sure people weren't firing at them.

Jake was traveling in his usual way, an Eastern Screech Owl. He was in a new city and was looking for some action. He'd heard about people taking mutants to prisons. He was flying high overhead when he saw the Green Lantern and someone else he didn't recognize.
He landed and demorphed standing there in a dark ally way next to where all the action was going on he felt a little insignificant and powerless. He knew he should be a little less powerless, so he focused tiger, tiger he said to himself. He focused on the tiger DNA that was in his body and he felt the changes begin.
Once he was finished morphing Jake went in through the door that they had opened. His sleek swift 500 pound tiger stealth was unbeatable. The confidence was incredible. The tiger ran down the hall and found a few guards that were on their way to attacking another mutant. Jake roared and jumped on one. He went down and stayed there with one swat of the tigers huge paw. The other guard began running away. <Aw. What's the matter? you don't want to play with a little kittie?> Jake teased the guard in open thought speak so anyone in the building could hear him in their head.
The tiger caught him with ease and took him down the same way. He went on to find any other mutants that may need help. He ran down the hall when he saw a kid who looked like a younger version of Superman and Stargirl. He didn't recognize either of them, since the last time he saw Stargirl she was in costume not pajamas and he'd never met the guy before. She didn't know that he had a tiger morph. Jake stayed a little out of sight from Stargirl, yet followed her as she let people out of their prisons. As he followed her he continued to look around for more guards trying to stop them from breaking out.

"Yes!", Courtney exclaimed as she caught the keys Superboy had tossed at her. She smiled as she looked down at the ring of keys and looked back up at Conner. "Fingers crossed I can find MY equipment", she said with a grin over at him.
She started quickly walking down the rows of cells. She twisted back and waved. "Have fun!", she said with a smile. Courtney quickly took to releasing the prisoners as fast as she could.
After the cell block had been released, she found herself wandering around the vicinity searching for where they stored the equipment they had stolen.

Conner threw the last guard against the wall as a flurry of shots ran into his chest. They hurt, he wasn't Superman, but they didn't do any permanent damage. He ran through the building ripping cages apart as he went, trying to expedite this break out as much as possible. His head was swimming with doubts and lost hope. He had to keep running interception so Star could get all the heroes out.
Running through the prison and obliterating all the norms who tried to guard the prisoners, Conner eventually found the administration office, every prison had one. He ran to the PA system and tried to get a message out through the whole prison.
"Come on, kiddies, we haven't got much time left. Let's try and get out of here as quickly as humanly, or otherwisely as the case may be, as possible. Bottom line: Go! Go! Go!" He said, calmly and articulately.

Jake ran through the hallways with oddly smooth precision. He passed up Stargirl and continued on down the corridors. He rounded the corner and ran into two more humans heading towards Stargirl. He was determined to stop them. The tiger lunged at them and took one down without any problem. The second man started to run. Jake caught him with ease and swatted him, with his huge tiger paw. The man was down for the count. He heard a mans voice come on over the intercom.
"Come on, kiddies, we haven't got much time left. Let's try and get out of here as quickly as humanly, or otherwisely as the case may be, as possible. Bottom line: Go! Go! Go!"
Jake had the strange feeling that part of that comment was aimed at him. If the tiger could have smiled he would have. However, until he saw others with powers escaping he would stay in and make sure everyone was out. He left the corridor he was just in, because it turned out to be a dead end, and continued down the main hallway. The morph he was in was no match for opening any of the locked doors. As he continued down the hallway he didn't run into any more humans. The tigers mind was a little disappointed because it was having fun. It seemed like a game since the fighting was so easy.
