Raven listened to Storm's tale with interest. This was a conflict she didn't know much of. You'de think that news of it would travel, but apparantly east side and west side had even less communication than Raven had previously thought.
"The titans certainly have their fair share of haters, but not that bad. People tend not to trust us because we're young, and the general populace tries not to notice me. They don't like me, I appeare too - dangerous."
The younger girl watched as Ororo deftly twisted her hair up with a simple comb and covered it to draw less attention. Raven too had done a bit here and there to blend in. There wasn't much to do about her unnaturally pale skin or the stone in her forhead, but she did have a tattoo. now covered by her hoodie, it was the last thing people would expect of her.

Ororo nodded at Raven’s words. “Some of my teammates are considered dangerous. One is very kind and cause of his mutation many people re scared of him. Another teammate of mine is very dangerous if you tick him off. But, he also has soft side that not many outside the team sees,” Ororo told her.
She did not say their codenames or their mutations. So that if the X-men came to blows with Raven and team she will not be able to tell which teammate Ororo had been talking about.

Raven nodded, recognizing the traits Ororo spoke of as those she saw in her own teamates. And not only that, but the secrecy Storm kept about those she worked with. It was not hard to tell this dark skinned weather witch was a seasoned warrior.
"However different our teams may be, our friends seem to resemble each other." Raven said in answer, thinking of her friends and allies. "One of my friends seems too innocent and nieve to hurt a fly, and then in a seconds becomes almost impossable to contain."
Raven, too, was careful not to employ names as she spoke of the Titans. These were dangerous times, even when you thought you were with a friend.
"But then again," She conceded, "I don't know a single one of us that hasn't - at one point or another - earned a reputation for bing at least somewhat dangerous." Raven bowed her head for a moment, thinking on her own mistakes - and those that were not her own.

“Well for mutants, all we have to do is be born to be considered dangerous. No matter what the mutation is the mutant is considered dangerous. Even if a mutant’s only mutation is a different skin color they considered dangerous,” Ororo told Raven.
“I will admit some powers are by nature harder to control then others. Especially the ones that tie directly into one emotions,” Ororo told her. Her voice betrayed that she knew how it was personally.

It was sad, really. The tone Ororo used when describing what Mutants had to deal with was one of saddness, but also weariness. She was used to most of humanity not likeing her and her people at the best, and was a rather depressing thought that anybody could get used to it.
However, Raven's breath caught in her throat at Storm's next words. The tone in her voice and what she said hit too close to home for Raven to ignore. She too fought to keep her emotions in line for fear of her powers. It was obvious that she was now in good company, but found it too hard to believe not to make sure.
"You -" She started haltingly, "You also have empathic ties to your powers." However, it was not really a question. Now that Raven knew the similarities, she could feel within Storm that which was also within Raven herself.

“Yes, my powers tie directly into my emotions. If I let my emotions get the better of me I can create devastating storms,” Ororo told her. Ororo usually was not too open with the details about her powers but, she felt a kindred sprit within Raven.
““With my powers to control the weather and them being directly tied to my emotions it can lead to nasty storms. If I loose control of my emotions, I can accidentally do major damage,” Ororo told Raven.

Raven was amazed to be hearing this - never had she ever come across somebody who's powers tied so directly into their emotions. As Ororo finished, Raven spoke up softly, explaining.
"I am a telepath, but everything I do is tied into how I feel. The less emotion I have - the more in control over my powers I am. It comes from my dad; the two of us never did get along well. When I feel anything too strongly, anything could happen. You can never tell what my powers will do, they're simply too unpredictable - too dangerous."
As she finished, Raven couldn't help but feel a bit tense, and a bit relieved.

“For me, I have to watch my emotions or affect the weather around me. If I am sad, it will rain. Angry, thunderstorms will pop up out of nowhere. Depending on how strong the emotion is, how strong the weather becomes,” Ororo told her.
Ororo looked at the sky and saw that the sky was only slightly cloudy. She remembered a time when she had been trapped by Dr. Doom in basically her own skin. She unknowingly created a powerful hurricane over Doom’s castle. It took a lot of energy to break it up.

Raven follow Ororo's gaze up to see the slightly cloudly sky, and could tell the woman's mind was elsewhere. Parhaps her past, when her emotions had let loose. That was certainly where Raven's were. In her mind she replayed the time when fighting Dr. Light, she had lost her temper and all sense of self, becoming no more than a monster. She might have killed him without the intervention of her friends.
((...any ideas?))
