Height: 6'7" (with Sith armor. Weight unknown, but is known to be very heavy seeing as how he can’t run or perform acrobatics, despite his superhuman strength)
Appearance:
As a Dark Lord of the Sith, Vader wears a special armor which covers 100% of his body and separates it entirely from the outside environment. His armor is completely black, save for the buttons on his chest and belt controls.
The most distinguishing features are his cape and mask. His cape reaches down to his feet and at times can cover all of his body, except for the very front, when draped around him. His helmet has become the stuff of legends where he comes from, bearing a resemblance to a Samurai’s mask and helmet.

Super Powers:
The Force: Having trained in the ways of the Force, both light and dark sides, Vader is a master at using it. This grants him the ability of lightning reflexes, partial telepathy, and telekinesis.
Superhuman Prowess: Being a cyborg now, Vader possess superhuman strength. His armor and constant injections of Sith stimulants also server to further increase his strength and durability.
Learned Abilities:
Master Pilot: As a young Jedi, Anakin piloted his fighter in many battles. As Vader, he piloted a custom designed tie fighter. Both experiences, coupled with his innate Force sensitivity, enable Vader to dogfight with the best of pilots.
Master Mechanic: During his youth, Anakin had been a slave. It was during this time that he developed a knack of building and repairing mechanical devices. Years later, his mechanic skills would serve him well as he was sometimes forces to make repairs to his own armor and cybernetics on the fly.
Master Lightsaber Combatant: Having been trained since early youth on how to wield a lightsaber, Vader is more than adept in how to use one. Coupled with his Force sensitivity, he is quick enough to even deflect projectile blasts with the blade of his saber.
Master Tactician: Having lead squadrons of fighters, squads of soldiers, entire armies of troops and fleets of ships, Vader is an expert planner and excels at leading in battle.
Hand To Hand Combatant: In his prime, Anakin could overpower an opponent with mere hand to hand techniques, when disarmed from his lightsaber. After his disfigurement, Vader found his movements severely limited, but he is still able to put to use some of his hand to hand techniques, should the time arise for it.
Equipment:
Lightsaber: Powered by a synth crystal, which gives it its distinctive red blade, Vader uses this trademark weapon as his primary, and perhaps only, weapon. With a blade made of pure energy, very few materials can resist it. Most are cut through instantly.
Sith Armor: Although Vader’s armor provides many advantages, it also comes with many disadvantages. Regardless, he is completely dependant upon it to live while outside specialized, oxygenated chambers. One major advantage it offers is to his durability, being able to protect against a wide range of damage. This includes, partly, attacks from other lightsabers, though only in certain areas. Although his mask limits his vision, to a degree, it does allow for enhanced vision, such as nightvision, and provides data streams across its lenses. Additionally, it may also function as a spacesuit against the vacuum, but only for limited amounts of time.
Weaknesses (Must Have):
Sith Armor: With its many advantages, there also comes many disadvantages. It provides protection, but is also extremely heavy and uncomfortable. Despite his superhuman strength, he can not jump as high as he should be able to, nor can he run or even speed walk. The suit also limits his vision, to a degree.
Breathing: Vader is completely dependant upon life support systems to live. Without his suit or special, pressurized chambers, he would be unable to breathe.
Energy: Although other Siths can generate a power known as Force lightning, Vader is unable to do so. Force lightning, along with other powerful energy based attacks, run the risk of overloading his suit’s electronics and thus shutting off his life support system.
Background:
Born Anakin Skywalker, he spent the earliest years of his life as a slave. Freed by a Jedi and wisped away from his mother, he was trained in the ways of the light side of the Force. During his tenure as a Jedi, many events led to his downfall to the dark side. Most notable was the death of his mother, which briefly caused him to snap and massacre an entire village.
Tormented by visions of his beloved wife’s death, Anakin finally embraced the dark side. Ironically, this lead to a self full filling prophecy, as he let the anger and hatred get the best of him and ended up being his own wife’s murderer. In a climatic battle with his former mentor, he suffered severe injuries, which badly disfigured and crippled him.
Darth Sidious, his new Sith master, saw to it that Vader was saved. Cybernetic limbs and organs were implanted, and his life was forever more dependant upon a heavy but intimidating Sith armor.
Alternate
Many years later, Vader had learned to deal with the handicap to his speed that was given to him by his suit. Like every Sith before him, he sought a way to overthrow and destroy his master and rule the Empire himself. He secretly concocted many plans, most of which were abandoned or found out by his master. Two such failures were his secret apprentices, one of whom Vader was forced to kill in front of the Emperor in order to prove his loyalty.
One plan which was never found out, that reached fruition, was time travel. Using it, Vader hoped to travel into the future, to learn of events that had yet to happen, then travel back to the past and use this knowledge for his own gain. To this end, he refitted a Lambda-class T-4a shuttle with time displacement technology that had been developed by his most trusted underlings, as well as equipped with one of his special hyper baric, oxygenated meditation chambers.
Leaving as little evidence, and witnesses, behind as he possibly could, Vader set out in his customized shuttle. The scientists that engineered the craft had a good understanding of time and space, but not good enough. As a result, when Vader test flew the shuttle, he ended up not only in the future, but in another galaxy. Perhaps even in another universe.
This new time and area at first seemed to offer no information that could be useful for Vader to use against Darth Sidious. However, there was a lingering suspicion in his mind and a disturbance in energies. There was something here to be found, something that he felt would prove of great use to him in his plans to overthrow his master.
Personality :
When he was young, Anakin was a loving and loyal individual. The years were not good to him, however, and he fell into darkness. As a Sith, he can be ruthless, often personally executing underlings for their incompetence. However, he still retains a certain degree of kindness and sense of honor.
After mortally wounding Tao, one of his apprentices, Vader took him to his homeworld for him to die on. After Tao died, Vader briefly grieved over his death and made a small monument to him. Vader also gets along quite well with troops under his command. After Appo’s death, Vader would remark “I was rather fond of Commander Appo.”
His troops respected and looked up to him, as he seemed unwilling to ask anything of them that he was not willing to do himself, and often liked to lead from the front lines, not the back. Although a Sith, twisted and evil and being more machine now than man, Vader still seems to have a strong code of honor.
Other:
I came upon a question once (who would win in a fight between Darth Vader and Batman?) that inspired me to enter this character in a comic book based RP. I was further inspired by seeing pics of Darth Vader attacking Dr. Doom and Darth Maul battling Wolverine.
Please understand, this is just a try out and I don’t think I’ll be keeping him in the plot for that long. Maybe for one saga or something, depending on the way things go (he will have to return to his own time and space eventually, since he dies there).
After Vader is done here, should things go well, I’ll no doubt bring in another character.

Brief Sample Roleplay
The Executor. With the exception of the Death Star, it was perhaps the largest man-made structure ever conceived. A super star destroyer, as the class of ship would eventually be named. Vastly more powerful and vastly bigger than the standard star destroyer. Aboard the bridge of one such standard star destroyer, there watched a very important figure.
At first, the bridge officers went about their work as they normally would. Each one monitored the output and data feeds to whatever station they were sitting at. Suddenly, chills ran down their spine. They all stiffened up and looked more professional. Some strained to keep from shaking, but all tried to make it appear they were doing their job more diligently and professionally than they were.
All this due to the sound of an approaching, walking iron lung. Artificial breathing grew louder and louder until it was accompanied by hardened soled boots stepping on the platform above them. Each of them was humbled and intimidated by the proverbial god now among them.
Each was aware of Lord Vader’s presence, but he didn’t acknowledge a single one of them. Instead, with his hands clasped behind his back, he strode over to one of the windows. It caught a nice view of space, and with it the assembly of the Executor. It was only a skeleton now, but Vader could imagine what his future flagship would look like upon completion. Although his armor didn’t allow him to convey certain emotional gestures, he felt a brief sense of satisfaction.
Soon..., he thought. Very soon.
