Pyre of Ascension
The dream of coexistence once again seems even further out of reach for the X-Men and mutant kind in general. A war is brewing. The cause? Magneto and his Brotherhood of Mutants forcefully took control of the sovereign nation known as Genosha.
Now, with even more on the line than ever before, the X-Men are forced to accept outside help in the hopes that peace will one day rein. Thus, the X-Men, along with S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers, take a very public and a very firm stand against Magneto and his Brotherhood.
Meanwhile, Graydon Creed’s hard work has paid off in the most debilitating of ways. The ever-feared Mutant Registration Act has been passed and the mutant community is in a state of upheaval. Yet, as hidden enemies emerge from the shadows, forgotten heroes walk again.
The concepts of right and wrong are blurring- there’s only the question of survival now. With world order crashing down, and new orders being made, which side will you stand on?
