Ah, The Smell Of Trouble

[Darkl]

Darkl looked out over the city of Metropolis. He stood on the top of a five story building and examined the people, as they walked, talked, and lived. It was strange. This world was so like his own, yet so different.

Darkl lowered down into an alley and walked into the sidewalk. Only a few looked, just at the strange color of his hair, but continued their day. No one saw the devious gleam in his eyes or the devilish smirk on his face.

"Time to start some trouble." he said, raising his hand. He stopped the blood of the people in the cars going by. The cars slammed on their brakes, slowed, or speed up. The car rec has started.

[Jake]

Jake was enjoying a nice day. Things seemed to be going great. He hadn't had any bad encounters today and he was hoping to keep it that way. He walked through the streets looking at the people walking, talking, and going about their daily business. There were many people there that looked different, however there was one guy who seemed to stand out amongst everyone he'd seen that day.

As Jake past him he was thinking of the quickest way to get home. He looked down a deserted ally and began waking down it. He had gotten into a spot where no one could see him. The Animorph was about to morph his bird of prey morph, an American Kestrel, when he heard cars screeching and slamming into each other. He finished changing into his morphing outfit, some bike shorts and an under armor shirt, as he ran back out of the ally to the busy street.

He looked around and saw the man that had stood out in his mind waving his hands. It looked like he was conducting the car wreck. It just seemed to ruin Jakes day a little, but excitement was excitement. Now was not time for subtlety, he didn't like morphing in front of people because it usually grossed people out and he couldn't blame them since it grossed him out also.

Jake was maybe a block away from the man. He focused his mind on the bear inside him and started running towards the man. His face stretched and grew. His ears migrated to the top of his head, while his nose, mouth and fur extended, shifted, dissolved and reformed into a bears sheer muscle, jaws, and coat. The fur started to cover every part of his body. His legs and arms shifted and muscles grew on top of muscle. His spine extended until it seemed like it would pop out of his body. He shot up to the grizzly bears full height and weight. He was completely bear. The bear was confident, yet nervous about so many people around him.

Once the people around noticed there was a grizzly bear running through the street they all started to scatter. He was five feet from the man conducting the car wrecks when Jake let out a huge roar, "Hooooorrrraaaaaarrrrrr!"

The sight of wild animals seemed to scare people more than even a car accident. Jake continued running towards the man at almost full speed. People were jumping and running out of his way. The bear reared up on his hind legs to his full height. An 8 foot tall 1000 lbs grizzly bear in the middle of the city.

Standing on his hind legs the grizzly was a formidable foe, especially to humans. He looked at the man and said in thought speak, <I hope you're done tormenting people because it's just you and me now.> The grizzly took a swipe at the mans legs to knock him off balance. He was obviously not a good guy so Jake didn't feel to bad about it.

[Darkl]

Darkl had noticed the bear coming toward him and blinked a few times. Not an everyday thing you see. He put his hand down, the blood of the people in the cars returning to normal, and got ready for the oncoming animal.

As the claw came for him, he jumped up and hovered over the beast. "Nah. Tormenting people is fun. Escpecially when heroes come in without any idea what they're up against." he smirked.

He pointed both hands to the bear and slowed his blood. It was difficult, for the beast was huge. But it worked slightly.

[Jake]

Jake heard what the man said. He seemed a little to confident, at least more so than a person who was just talking with a bear. Not normal, to say the least. The man raised his hands and pointed them at Jake. The grizzly felt weird. It felt hard to breath, like his heart was having trouble pumping blood to his huge body. <I don't know what you're doing, but I don't like it.> Jake said.

The bear was slowed down, but still fast enough for a person to be unable to move out of the way. He took another swipe with his garbage lid sized hands, knocked his hands down and followed it with a straight punch aimed at the mans chest.

[Darkl]

Darkl felt claws rake his chest as he back up. The bear was fast. He snarled slightly. He closed his eyes and concentrated. "You can attack me, but can you attack them?" he asked.

He controlled the blood of the people around the bear, so that they were flown onto him, up to ten at a time, beating against him.

[Jake]

Jake gave a stern look at the man when he raised his hands again and people began flying at him. This guy still didn't seem afraid. He's either really powerful and I'm in over my head or he's really stupid and he doesn't know what I can do. Jake thought as the people started beating on him. <I can attack anything I want.> The people that were beating him began to start wearing him down.

They didn't hardly hurt him at all. Their fist were so light against his thick fur that they felt more like bees trying to sting him. He threw them off with ease. Some hung on to him for odd reasons but they to eventually were thrown off him as well. He fought them off with swats of his giant paws. After most of them were off of him he went after the evil mutant again. Jake swung and charged him trying to knock him down.

[Darkl]

Darkl managed to avoid most of the hits, getting cut a few times on his arms and chest. He was curious about this 'bear'. "You have an interesting power boy. You're DNA is very advanced." he said.

Darkl was thinking about using his Blood Ball but decided that it was too soon in the fight. And he loved talking to his victims. It was glorious fun.

[Jake]

"You have an interesting power boy. You're DNA is very advanced." the man said to Jake. Jake stopped in mid attack. He lowered his paw to the ground and stood there. It's time I find out what this guys all about.

Jake started at him with his fierce grizzly stare. <What do you mean, 'my DNA is very advanced'?> He said not moving a muscle towards or away from him.

[Darkl]

Darkl raised a brow. "Well, I control blood. And I can see that your blood is oh so different from this weak mortals. It's very peculiar." he said. He noticed that the bear had a slight cut on his face, probably from one of the humans hitting him with a purse or something.

Darkl raised a hand toward him and called some of the bears blood to him. Blod floated like water out of the bear's face to Darkl's hand, spiraling into a ball. "See? Very interesting."

[Jake]

(ooc: plz don't god-mod. I'm pretty easy going with it and don't mind it if it happens occasionally but you shouldn't make a habit out of it 'cause other people may get angry. ;D)

Jake listened to the man explain about the blood. Apparently the bear had been cut and hadn't noticed it.

"Well, I control blood. And I can see that your blood is oh so different from this weak mortals. It's very peculiar."

He watched as the mutant pulled the blood out of his cut and it floated towards him. The grizzly was amazed and stood remarkably still, mainly because Jake had a good grip on the bears instincts. All his muscles poised for action, though you couldn't tell through all the fur. That explains why these people were fighting me and why I felt weird earlier. he thought to himself.

Darkl smirked and quickly looked at the sun. He would have to finish this soon. His power supply was almost out and it won't refill till the moon was out. Oh, how he hated the daytime.

Darkl's eyes glowed with a dangerous red tint, the green almost disappearing. His hair swayed maddingly in the wind. His feet touched ground again. "Come fight me boy. This should be fun." he taunted.

ooc: that's ok it happens to every body. *takes cookie and smiles*

Jake watched the mutant hover for a minute then touch back down. He still had the ball in his hands and the bear stared. The mutant the began taunting Jake, "Come fight me boy. This should be fun." <With pleasure.> Jake said in thought speak. He charged the man. Gaining speed with every step.

He let out a giant roar as he charged. Jake leaped. 1000lbs of pure muscle,teeth, and claws soaring through the air.

Darkl readyed himself for the oncoming attack. He gripped the spiral of blood in his hand and when the bear got close enough, he threw it. He hoped it would be affective but wondered if it would, through all the muscle and fur. Maybe, maybe not.

Darkl raised his hands to the bear, about to slow his blood if needed.

(I'm not sure what the 'blood ball' is supposed to do, let me know if I got it mixed up.)

Jake continued barreling towards the mutant. He had thrown the blood ball at the bear. It hit him in the shoulder. When the ball hit Jake it felt like a baseball had been thrown by a pitcher with bad aim. The ball slowed Jake down a little bit it was hardly noticeable. The grizzly put all his power into his barreling attack. It was like a steam roller running on the side walk.

He was feet from the mutant and noticed that he brought his hands up. <It's a little to late for that.> Jake said to him in thought speak.

[Darkl]

"Come on. Hit me." Darkl muttered. He was gonna turn the tables on the bear boy. Hince the smirk on his face. He hadn't had so much fun in a fight since he fought one of his brothers. And that was long time ago.

Police sirens were echoing in the background and Darkl sighed. *Better finish this up fast.* he thought.
