Pepper locked eyes - blue on blue - with the woman who had just come through the portal, and she gave that woman a small smile and nod. Illyria, come to join the Avengers as well? Now this was an unexpected and welcome surprise! Illyria had been instrumental in helping Pepper fight Darkseid and though she wouldn't admit it, seeing her here made Pepper feel a whole lot safer.
She shot another look at Toxin, hanging from the ceiling, and then looked curiously at Bruce as Illyria spoke to him of fear. Bruce feared himself...that Pepper could understand. He was capable of great and dangerous things, but she knew he was a good man.

Bruce stared eye to eye with Illyria, not knowing who she really was. When the question came out of her mouth he had remembered some of his old dreams with him and the Hulk fighting each other. Usually because the Hulk is much stronger he would win in brute strength but lose when it comes to a mind battle. What Bruce feared was that eventually he would lose a fight and turn into the Hulk. No matter what people might think about him; good or bad; there is a monster inside the good scientist.
"You have no idea." Bruce said to Illyria while stuffing his old red cap into his jackets left pocket.
He has never seen this woman before in his life yet she reads him off like he was a picture book.

Tony walked out of the kitchen and headed over to Pepper and the others "So this is were the party's at huh?" He asked with a smile on his face till he spotted Illyria and shivered that woman creped him out like no other. There was an ancient evil in those ice blue eyes of hers just waiting to free its self and that bothered him more then anything the Hulk could possibly ever do. "Illyria...didn't think you would bother with people who were below you unless your looking for a new Qwa'ha Xahn." He said he had done some research on her in his free time what he found he really didn't like. She was an X factor he wasn't sure it would be a good idea to have something like that running around.

OOC: Oh my god, Illyria? If I see the Stay-Puft Marshmellow Man in here, I'm gone.
IC:
Cain shrugged as Tony finally came in. The man looked tired. Well, he better be ready to lead this crew. Cain thought as he waved at Bruce. On a whim he decided to walk over to Banner. He sidled up to the Hulk's alter ego and gave him a nudge.
"How you doing Bruce? Hope Natasha was good to ya. I tell ya, that woman is one cold fish."

Bruce turns around once he felt the nudge. He almost fell over by the big person behind him. Bruce turned around to see Juggernaut, an old enemy of Hulk's. The thing is he looked friendly.
"Um....I'm doing alright....Cain." Bruce said to him.
When Juggernaut mentioned Natasha he had no idea what he was talking about. What did he mean by Natasha? The Black Widow? Did I do something with her? Why is he so friendly? I have no memory of whatever it was I did....
"What do you mean Cain?" Bruce asked, looking up at the man but trying to listen to what the others were talking about.

Cain was slightly taken aback by Bruce's response. Then it hit him. The man probably didn't remember due to something SHIELD had done to him. Natasha had said that she would do her best to take care of him but perhaps things had changed.
"Ummm, nevermind man." Cain leaned against the wall and looked at everyone assembled. "So what do you think of the recruits?"
OOC: I was referencing a earlier thread where me and 2 other guys had to take the Hulk down. I guess he must have been adopted.

OOC: Yeah, I adopted him. Sorry about it.
Bruce still didn't know what Cain was talking about when it came to Natasha but decided to drop it. He looked away from Cain and back at some people. Pepper, Tony, Illyria and Toxin were the only people in the room. The only actual new recruits were Illyria and Toxin. Toxin was just like that Venom creature but Bruce guesses he doesn't have any issues with Spider-Man. Illyria on the other hand....something was weird about her. She wasn't like any type of super human Bruce had ever met or even heard of.
"The recruits is going to take me some time to get used to." Bruce said, while looking at the others still.

This was surely a motley collection of heroes and those of a questionable nature – such as himself, Toxin supposed. Nobody really trusted the red and black symbiote. Pat imagined that they had perfectly good excuses for that – he was, in essence, the same man-eating creature as Carnage and Venom, whose baser instincts often tempted him to engage in random violence and destruction.
That just wasn’t him though. He had never killed anyone, never eaten a body part even. He was restrained, he was the good guy and if he was ever close to crossing the line between good and evil, he was surrounded by those capable of holding him back – physically, mentally or even vocally. This was where he should be.
Toxin didn’t smell fear on Banner, in fact his smell, body temperature and heart beat pointed to a relaxed and slightly agitated state. It wasn’t entirely normal, but then again, neither was Bruce.
Toxin was getting bored of hanging around here watching the conversation going absolutely nowhere, and Pat had to admit that whilst this was all very grand – it wasn’t even remotely entertaining.
The symbiote was now vertical on the wall above the doorway and looking down towards the assembled people in the hall. He quickly leaped from the wall into the air, and shot a strand of thick, black webbing upwards onto the ceiling. He stopped almost dead in the air, hanging from the ceiling above, before sliding down the slowly extending web to hang just above Cain Marko. Toxin looked down and smiled, showing his entire collection of razor sharp – needle like teeth.
“Hey there big guy.” Toxin hissed. There was no air of malice in his voice, it was just that – his voice. He was after all, a symbiote, and couldn’t help sounding like one.
In his current form, Toxin was physically similar to Spiderman in size and build – if only marginally bigger, and the hanging red and black symbiote looked like an unusually low, demented chandelier. He was capable of growing to a height of almost eighteen feet, but he had no real need to. Besides, the ceiling would probably break, and he’d lose the ability to walk through walls using that most wonderful of inventions – the door.
“Aren’t you supposed to be an X-Man?” Toxin quizzed Marko, cocking his head to one side as he did. This only had the effect of making him look even more unusual.

Pete strolled into the hall the commotion causing a ruckus. and as per usual his spider-sense just had to wake him up and not let him sleep. He noticed the crowd 'always a crowd!' he smirked. He was wearing his pajamas ( the blue spiderman ones)
stepping down the stairs he looked up to see toxin smiling. he knew he was a good guy, hey he knew what it ws like to be hated by a whole lot of people. 'oh isnt everyone an xman these days?" Pete smirked as he walked to the crowd "so we getting cake or pizza, or what?"
