The young X-Man walked along the busy New York streets in her plain tee and jeans with a drawstring bag on her back while she searched for the building she planned on visiting. She felt a small sigh of relief when she saw it; Craig's Dine and Dance. Kitty hadn't the slightest idea who Craig was, but it was the closest dance studio to the school she and several other mutants attended. Though Shadowcat loved protecting the innocent on a day-to-day basis, she wasn't about to give up her lifelong passion for the hunt. After shoving past a few pedestrians, Kitty Pryde entered the lively Italian restaurant, nodded to the woman at the greeting pedestal. Her name was Allegra, who the X-Men had saved a few years ago when a bus had caught fire. They had evacuated the passengers before the vehicle exploded. It seemed like an easy task, but it was a pretty fragile situation.
Either way, with a small exchange of words, Kitty walked past the fired-up kitchen to the staircase up to the second floor, where the wooden flooring shined brightly in the newly buffed surface. Being somewhat slippery, Kitty slid down to a sitting position. Pulling out her bag, she picked out her pale pink ballet shoes and slipped them onto her small feet. Momentum pushed her as Kitty spun around, watching herself through the large mirrors along the walls. The young X-Man was almost in a trance as she brought her arms up and down, jumped a few times and continued with her dancing.
The building seemed to shake when a loud crash sliced the white noise, breaking Katherine's groove and making her stop at a quick halt. "What's going on?" She whispered to herself as she began walking downstairs.
"Don't any of you move! Give me all your cash and I won't shoot any of you!"
Kitty froze as her hazel eyes addressed the situation. The man had a gun to a woman's head, and he actually looked as if he'd pull the trigger if he didn't get what he wanted. She bit onto her lip. She had no idea whether she should make a move or not. Her gaze darted to all the new hostages lying on the floor, shivering in fear. Crap.
