"No, merely cautious." Mike replied plainly. "Aside from security systems we also make some of the most high-tech weapons this world has ever seen. That's one reason for the high security... Wouldn't want those things in the wrong hands." At that moment the elevator doors opened up. "Perhaps you'd like to see some of our products before Stephen gets those files out?" He asked as he got into the elevator.

"It would probably be best," Cass agreed, following him out of the elevator. She looked back for Chase, taking some comfort in his solid presence, but remained a step ahead of him. This was business time, she had to look professional. That being thought, she reached up to brush away a stray strand of hair. What was the point of a ponytail if it didn't hold your hair back?

Michael stepped out of the elevator once it stopped, and then walked up to a silver door. A red beam of light shined down on him, and scanned his figure, and eyes. He then places his left hand on a small panel on the side of the door, and then a voice spoke from all around him. "ID confirmed. Welcome President Watz." "Thank you, Julie." Mike said as the door opened up in front of him. The young genius stepped through the doorway, and into a large testing area. There were men and women in lab coats everywhere, most of them either holding clipboards or some type of weapon.
"This is one of our newer projects. It's unnamed at this time, but we're considering something to the effect of 'Machine Blaster'." Michael said as he stopped by a man who was wearing a sort of arm cannon. It was somewhat cylindrical all around the arm, and went from the end of the hand to the elbow. At the end of it was a barrel about 2 inches around with small holes in it. "Observe." Watz said as he turned to an indoor shooting range. "Iron slabs." He said as he pointed to the targets that the man was aiming at. "Fire."
The firearm started to rapidly shoot gold-colored lasers from the barrel, and in about 3-seconds the 10 iron slabs had been practically destroyed. The man stopped firing, and then lowered the weapon.
"It's nearly complete. We just have a couple kinks to work out."

"Deadly" chase said from behind Cass. He had not said a word as the pair talked till now. He seemed almost invisible behind the frame of the young lady being ignored by most of them. But all that looked at her knew he was there. "To both friends and enemy. A miss fire could do more damage then you enemy will."

Cass watched in fascination as the machine effectively destroyed the iron slabs. Sure, it wasn't the security system she had expected to see, but it was still quite beautiful and dangerous. Chase seemed to agree, with more emphasis on the 'dangerous' part. She looked at him curiously; he was watching the machine with hard eyes. He definitely didn't approve of it, which made Cass all the more curious as to why - and what Watz would say in response. "Holding a laser cannon like that one does seem like it would be dangerous," she carefully agreed.

"A miss fire is practically impossible, sir. If you knew these projects like I do you would know that they are designed so that they cannot do damage to the user...that is, if the user does not intend to use it on ones self." Mike said to Chase with a faint grin. "The next project I'd like to show you is one we plan to use in our next maximum security system." He said as he walked over to the other end of the room, and came up to a small glass slate that was connected to a metal pillar. On the slate were about a dozen small silver balls. "These metallic spheres might look harmless and common, but in actuality..." Watz pressed a little red button on the pillar, and then all of the sudden the spheres rose up, and shot at a dummy made of steel. The balls shot through the dummy like bullets, and then surrounded it as fire burst from a small barrel that had been hidden. The dummy was engulfed by the flames, and then the spheres perforated the metal dummy with lasers similar to the ones from the arm cannon. "They're tiny guardians." The balls then went back onto the glass, going into standby.
