For a while now Logan had stayed in New York, unlike some of the X-men he was kinda used to being stared at called after and so on. He didn’t care. It didn’t matter what they thought to know, as long as the people he cared about knew, that mattered. And well, they knew. Walking on with his hands in his pockets and his eyes a bit cast down to the sidewalk he wondered just why sometimes they would push further. These people didn’t want their help or protection, why force it up on them? He guessed Xavier would know.
Taking a left turn and ended in an alley where at the very end a bar could be seen. One of the few who allowed mutants and one of the even fewer where he was welcome. He pushed the door open and went inside. Here they where used to the fact that even if it was somewhere to the end of the morning, Logan would already start drinking, but leave the same way as he entered… sober.
Sitting down at the far wall of the bar he could overlook the entire bar and the door, he leaned his elbows on the table and looked ahead, as the bartender brought him his beer he nodded and took a sip from it.

Ororo knew where to find Logan. If she was not looking for him she would have stayed away from the bar. She had taken steps to not stand out as much. Her hair was in a bun at the bottom of her neck and covered up with a faded scarf. Her blue eyes did stand out from her dark skin. She walked with confidence and her head held high.
It took her a moment to spot Logan by the far wall. She could feel several pairs of eyes follow her movement. She walks to where Logan is seated. “Is there a reason you choose this place?” she asks him.

Logan watched someone come in and recognised her right away. Ororo Monroe. She walked over to him and sat down. As she asked just why he chose this bar he shrugged. ”Been comin’ here for ages.” He replied, he was more of a steady costumer here, and people would leave him alone most of the time. He took a sip from his beer and looked at Storm once more, after he had his gaze slide over the bar. ”But that’s not the question… what’re you doin’ here?” He asked and leaned back in the chair. His hand moved back so his arm hang a bit over the back of the chair.

“Looking for you,” she told him. She took his laid back attitude as permission to sit. “A lot of things have been happening lately. I just wanted to make sure you were ok. Everything has been crazy that we have not had a chance to really talk,” Ororo told him.
Ororo knew she was having a hard time with everything that had happened. She was struggling to keep true to herself.

Logan looked at her for a moment, she had been worried… about… him. He looked at the glass of beer in front of him for a moment and then back at her. He was doing good, well, fine anyway. ”I guess I’m doing better than most.” Logan had his luck… he never had been the crowds favourite. So he wasn’t really missing out at the moment on anything, plus, where he went he made sure people didn’t know him.

Ororo nodded at his words. She looked around again then shook her head. She could feel eyes of some of the other bar patrons on her.
“We all have to look at things in a different light. It will be a long time before anyone knows the final outcome of this mess,” Ororo pointed out. She tried to ignore the many eyes that seem to be watching her.

Logan followed her gaze as she turned around for a moment and raised an eyebrow at the bar patron watching her, the man didn’t know how fast he could look the other way and Logan once more turned his attention to his beer. He knew some of the X-men where having a very hard time with this. But Logan, he didn’t really care if they looked at him as a hero, or as villain, as long as the people he cared about knew he was doing the right things.
”It seems to be harder on you guys than on me.” He simply replied and looked at Storm.

Ororo could only nod as she took another sip of her water. She could not argue with him there. She tried relaxing but she knew that she would not be able to. There was a boom of thunder from a few miles away and the weather man had not forecasted any storms.
“I think it was time I was leaving,” Ororo told Logan getting up to head toward the door. The was a pattering on the roof as it started to rain.
