Copyright (Marvel/DC/ect): Marvel
Characters civilian name: Anna-Marie
Code names/Aliases: Rogue
Class [Superhero, Vigilante, Mercenary..ect]: Mutant
-------------------------------------------------------------
Gender: Female
Age: 22
Apparent Age: 22
Hair: Brown with a white streak
Eyes: Emerald green
Height and weight: 5'8"/120lbs
Appearance:
Standing at 5ft.8 and weighing in at around 120 pounds, Rogue is a slender, athletic girl who packs more of a punch than she let's on. Her heart-shape face conflicts with her determined jaw and proud chin, the most interesting feature by far, the strands of white in her bangs. However, her clear green eyes are often the windows into her soul; heavily lashed and large, they make her seem rather child-like at times. Ironically, her full lips reveal fangs when she smiles, her pale skin suiting the image rather nicely. Modest yet undeniably new-age, her peculiar choice of clothing often raises brows in her direction, luckily, everyone has bought the crap about a 'skin-condition.'
Covered from head to toe in clothing at all times, Rogue prefers darker shades, and finer materials such as silk and cotton. As a necessary accessory, Rogue makes sure her gloves are comfortable as possible, and has an uncanny habit of matching them almost perfectly with the rest of her outfit, wither it be a long dress, or just a sweater and jeans. Rogue has a natural habit of 'blending' in with the crowd despite her eccentricities, most likely due to her passive, inverted nature. Her wardrobe varies for the most part, but is rather limited, as she is a runaway. However, aside from her trademark gloves, she has taken to a satin green cloak, which provides her with warmth in the cold night.

Super Powers:
Life Absorption
Basic
Rogue has the unique and tragic ability to absorb life-force through skin to skin contact [it is unknown if her powers effect animals or plants, as they are of a different species.] The general advantage of this ability is that it allows her to recover from certain ailments or wounds more quickly than she normally would have, perhaps even save herself from the brink of death. In doing so, she not only absorbs a person/thing's essence, but memories, skills, and some of their stronger personality traits; in rare cases, their entire psyche. This particular side-effect can be quite taxing on her nerves; especially where the memories and psyches of the less stable beings are concerned. This has rendered her invulnerable to telepathic manipulation, due to the cornicopia of psyches she has managed to collect, shielding her own mind effectively.
This, however, is by far the lesser of two evils.
From the first second of skin-skin contact with the young woman now known only as Rogue, the victim is instantly paralyzed-a split second later, the energy transaction begins, leaving the victim unable to move [unless they possess high pain tolerance and an iron will] as they feel the life drain from their bodies. The victim is able to feel their veins widen and contract, the blood seeming to drain from their bodies, though in reality, it is still there; it is merely being robbed of it's potency[this is obviously not a comfortable process.] As a physical effect, the vein's of the victim usually appear clearly under their skin, pulsing as they struggle against panic; as a rare occurrence, depending on the nature of the mutant's powers, and how severe the injuries were, any previous wounds that might have been inflicted upon their body recently [usually that same day] re-open, as if they have been re-inflicted.
Power Imprinting
A rather interesting effect, due to Rogue draining their life from it's source [their blood, which also contains DNA] Rogue is also able to temporarily gain any super-human attributes the victim may have, if they are mutant. While this can potentially be a dangerous attribute, especially if the mutant's abilities are unpredictable or unusually powerful, Rogue can usually access the person's memories from the contact, and at least get a general idea of how their power works, and how to make it useful, if not completely control it. While her physical form does not change much [unless the mutant's appearance is related to their power] Rogue risks becoming over-whelmed by the other person's psyche each time she touches someone, depending on their general state of mind. If the person is rather violent and moody, or maybe just 'not quite all there,' the chances of her displaying some of their less attractive traits are doubled. Rogue also takes care to utilize any information or skills of particular interest that might go along with her newly acquired power
As her powers grow, if she focuses on a question she wants answered before she touches someone who knows how to answer it, chances are she will be able to access information relating only to that question [same with any particular skill; hacking, martial arts, etc] which lessens the clutter, but the victim's psyche and any super-human powers would still be transferred. Most victims pass out from the pain/exhaustion after the contact is broken off; in more extreme cases, the victim is then victimized by minor-major convulsions, and either then slips into a coma, or dies. These varying after-effects depend solely how long the contact was maintained, and how much contact there was, though the drain still takes place the same way, whether she touches them with her pinkie or whole hand, etc. Eventually all but the memories and psyches disappear from her system, processed with her body's natural energy, the time it takes for this to happen, once again, depends on how long she is able to maintain contact. As for the contact/power ratio, for every second she holds onto a victim, she gains one minute of their power use. However, she cannot hold onto them for more than one minute without risking killing them, or putting them into a deep coma at best.
Lastly, Rogue has discovered that she has the ability to entertain more than one power at once, but prefers to refrain from doing so, out of fear of losing control due to the vast amount of concentration needed to control more than one power, and also the multiple personalities and memories she would be absorbing at once in doing so. It is hypothesized that if Rogue was able to drain the victim completely, resulting in their death, their powers would remain in her system, their DNA having imprinted itself onto her own. This ability has various uses to Rogue, but it also means that she may be incapable of physical human contact for the rest of her life, unless of course, she wants to kill them.
Touch Time/Power Retainment Ratio
Rogue has an inner sense of when to break off contact with the victim before she drains them completely-just as she has an inner 'hunger' to use the power when she is ill or injured. There is a certain time/power ratio that has made itself known. The longest possible time she can hold onto any normal human or mutant is thirty seconds, otherwise, they die. For mutants with powers that would make them more resistant to her touch, like those in possession of specialized armor, invulnerability, or healing factors, it would take no more than 60 seconds. If the victims are not killed through contact with her, they are usually unconscious for several hours after, or are victim to a coma that could last anywhere from a few weeks, to a few months.
Ms. Marvel Powers
Rogue, having accidentally absorbed the powers of the well known heroine Ms. Marvel, has permanently seemed to gain her powers of super strength, limited invulnerability, and flight.
Super Strength/Endurance
The young woman known only as Rogue now has the potential to lift and throw up to 80 tons, and maintain strenuous activity for nearly twelve hours straight before tiring.
Limited Invulnerability
Now much more resistant to injury, Rogue is impervious to bullets, knives, and basic physical attacks, able to withstand critical amounts of trauma.
Flight
Now being able to fly up to 100 miles per hour, and easily carry one to two passengers with her, Rogue is also able to stay in the air for three days at a time if she needs to, unless of course, she is under rapid fire.

Weaknesses (Must Have):If she takes someone's powers, she might absorb their psyche as well, just like she did with Ms.Marvel
Background:
Rogue’s story starts in Caldecott County, Mississippi, with a young, beautiful woman named Priscilla. Adored by many, including her sister younger, Carrie, Priscilla often went out to parties and came back home drunk. Probably during one of these parties, Priscilla met her lover, Owen, who eventually proposed to her. They married in a very early stage in their relationship and went off to start a commune with a bunch of their friends, planning to go back to nature, as was a common use in those days.
The marriage was a bad one and, in an attempt to fix it, Priscilla got pregnant. Nine months later, she gave birth to a baby girl, Anna Marie, with Carrie acting as a midwife. Growing up, Anna-Marie had a happy childhood for a few years. However, still part of the commune, her parents became involved in a crazy plan to reach “the Far Banks,” a dreamland from Native American mythology, where the rules of the physical world no longer applied. The commune even hired a shaman to take them to the Far Banks, but something went wrong during the ceremony.
Owen had planned to sacrifice Priscilla to the spirits of the Far Banks, but somehow she took control of them and angrily closed the mystical place behind her as she vanished. Left alone, Owen asked Carrie to move in and helped him raise his daughter. Anna-Marie, who had been nicknamed Rogue, didn’t have a happy childhood with her aunt though, as she used a rough education on her. It were these events that played a part in her making the decision to run away from home, trying to live all by herself.
In the swamps and holding a gun she either took from her father or picked up somewhere else, Rogue was found by a woman named Raven Darkholme, aka Mystique. The shapeshifter approached Anna-Marie in the guise of a normal-looking friendly woman, and offered her a room and a meal. Rogue accepted and went along. Eventually, Raven and her friend, the blind Irene Adler, aka Destiny, revealed themselves to be mutants, but Rogue wasn’t bothered by that – they were being nice towards her and she agreed on being adopted by them. The couple raised Rogue during the following years.
Before her powers manifested, the boy she most frequently dated was Cody Robbins. When they shared their first kiss under a full moon, Rogue felt her mind fill with Cody’s memories, and saw Cody simultaneously fall into a lifelong coma.
Scared and confused, Rogue ran away, but some townsfolk became suspicious and, before long, Rogue was chased by a angry mob. While looking at her followers, Rogue bumped into a stranger and fell unconscious. She never saw how she was rescued by the time-traveling Cable, as he quickly dealt with the mutant haters and had also already left before Rogue woke up again.
Over the next years, Mystique and Destiny tried to train her how to control her powers as well as they could, but unfortunately they were not professional teachers. Rogue kept dreaming of a normal life, of having a boyfriend like other girls her age would have, and she didn’t want to listen to Mystique’s constant lecturing anymore. One day she was spending some time with another boy, Freddy, who dared Rogue to kiss him. Again, her powers kicked in, but Freddy was luckier than Cody. He woke up fine, though Rogue would never speak to him again. She finally realized that she could not live among normal people and decided to participate in her adoptive mother’s criminal activities.
Somewhat later, Rogue learned that Carol Danvers had returned and was now living in San Francisco. Unaware that this would actually cause the danger that Destiny had predicted, she tracked Danvers down and battled her on the Golden Gate Bridge. Carol resisted Rogue’s absorption effect like nobody before and something went wrong. Rogue found that, somehow, her metabolism had fully permanently retained and held Ms. Marvel's mind and powers. Fearing for her own sanity and identity, as she kept hearing Carol's voice in her head, Rogue threw Danvers’ body off the bridge, hoping that her physical death would also kill the voice in her head. Luckily for Danvers, she was rescued by Spider-Woman, who brought the comatose woman to a hospital, where later Professor Charles Xavier could partially restore her memories (though not the emotional ties attached to them).
Personality :
Intrepid, bright, and earthy, no one expects Rogue to do anything rash. Logical and factual, though she is also a dreamer ruled by her heart, Rogue usually spends a great deal of time thinking things through before setting up a direct plan of action. Hesitant in all social settings, she is a wallflower needing a push in the right direction. Humble, artistic, and intuitive, she honestly tries to cope with her situation in life, and is often easily frustrated when she comes up short of someone's expectations, especially those who she cares for. The Southern Belle is stubborn, no doubt, and when she believes in something, she believes in it with all of her heart. Patient, reserved, and perhaps a bit intimidating at times, she knows how to form her words to deliver hard blows, as she is not prone to bursts of physical violence, especially regarding her mutant ability. She prefers to use her quick wit and sharp tongue to win her battles, however, she is realistic and knows that she will have to fight for what she believes in front time to time, and possibly die defending it. However, as Rogue has discovered upon a few occasions, there are worse things than death.
Loyal to the bone, Rogue usually puts people off at first; but when she is friends with someone, she is completely open with them. Rather blunt, really, and she is no longer her mousy, shy self. She also acts in a similar fashion when irritated, snapping at everyone's heels and breathing fire at everyone who happens to be in her way. As a realist, she also has pessimistic tendencies, but the hopeful child in her doesn't know how to quit wishing on every star she sees. Thus, she usually regrets what she says when in the throes of anger, however, once her trust is broken, she may never forgive the offender. Sensitive and slightly emotional, Rogue is an affectionate and kind hearted individual, and that is why her powers have been so hard to deal with-she is a young woman of action, who doesn't like to waste her breath on sweet nothings. She shows people how she feels by her actions, not what she says. Sadly, it doesn't seem to be enough for the girl, and so everything she once held near and dear is teetering on a string, ready to come crashing down all around her given the slightest incentive.

Brief Sample Roleplay
Rogue needed to get out right now. Not out, out completely being that she needed to completely get away from the mansion or something like that, but in the sense that being inside was making her feel claustrophobic or something like that. Not that she actually out and out got claustrophobic or anything like that, more that, yeah. Sighing softly, She closed her eyes slightly at her thoughts. She was starting to sound a bit like Kitty did when she was rambling or something like that. Good thing she wasn't talking out loud right now.
"Ah really need ta get away from that girl." she muttered softly to herself, her emerald green eyes narrowed slightly as she thought about it. Oh sure, she loved the slightly younger girl dearly, but sometimes she could become ever so annoying. Whenever the two of them were together, it appeared as though Kitty was always cheerful. Honestly, one person could NOT e continuously that happy...right? It was just completely unbelievable. Then again, if she didn't know Kitty any better, she might have thought that the younger girl was on Prozac or something like that.
Sighing softly, she directed her emerald gaze down at her hands for a moment as she started playing with the gloves that were on them. She hated these things, but if she didn't wear them...then she would have to worry about the fact that she could severly hurt someone that she cared deeply about. It was one of the things that made her contemplate becoming a hermit or something sort of like that. The thought of hurting someone.
Shaking her head slightly, she bit her bottom lip gently, slowly wandering around for a moment before her eyes lit up on the lake that she had been looking for. Sure the weather was cold, and the lake was frozen over, but at least she knew that nobody would come out to the forest in weather like this right? That way she could be completely alone to think things through without having to worry about someone to disturb her thoughts or anything like that.
