Years ago the Angel of Death spoke its words, outlining the imminent destruction of the Earth brought on by the hands of a child of Hell. A fiery world of torture and death ruled by a savage beast. It nearly happened once and history is always eager to repeat itself. However Rasputin is still very much dead, or perhaps that is just what the world is lead to believe. Some secrets can easily stay hidden, even from those at the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense.
Their main weapons have since retired, living out calm lives in remote locations. However, sometimes it is hard for a hero to ignore the Call of Duty. And the world needs a hero, though this hero is not what you'd typically expect; the very creature that could destroy the planet. A child born from fire and ash, created in the very bowels of the Underworld itself. He is called many things, but the one the world has come to know is: Hellboy.
Pulled from that comfortable life, Hellboy and his comrades are about to be thrown into another battle for the planet. A familiar face is back and wreaking havoc, born from a thousand angel's tears: Sammael, the Desolate One. Its appearance is an abnormal phenomenon, but like so many other things, only time will give us the answer. Perhaps it is due to the strange occurrences and super paranormal activity that has been spooking mortal and immortal alike. There is talk of an uprising of a race that is feared throughout the land. No, not the elves.
