Donna was in a relatively good mood right at this moment. She had been on New Cronus thinking of things to do when she had decided to get out and find something interesting to do. Sadly, since none of her friends or former friends knew that she was alive or anything like that, it made it kind of hard for her to find said interesting thing. In the old days it would have been hanging out with her friends that she would have done. Now? Well, now she had no idea what to do that was interesting.
Sighing softly, she brushed a stray lock of black hair out of her eyes. She missed her friends, really she did, but how did you suddenly come across your friends and go 'Hi! Remember me? I died, but you know I'm alive again!" no, she couldn't bring herself to say that to her friends. They'd probably think that she was someone imitating her. Things like that did tend to happen, and she wouldn't be surprised if someone had once tried to be her to get somewhere.
Looking down at the camera that she had in her hand she sighed softly. As she walked, her eyes landed on a couple together. Smiling faintly, she took a picture of them. Sure she normally took fashion pictures, but every now and then she just took photos for the fun of it. For things that she could use for herself. Things to make her home seem a lot nicer then it really was.
Walking away from them, she came across a bench and sat down on it. Watching the people that walked past her, she narrowed her eyes slightly. Some of the people here would be fantastic for pictures. If only she could ask people to take their photo. People often thought it to be quite weird. That was why she wouldn't...at least not yet...

Dick Grayson had finally convinced himself to for it. To take a vacation. He had spent a few months contemplating the whole thing, and now that the heroes were returning he finally could go through with it. He chose the sunny city of Los Angeles, for obvious reasons.
It didn't hurt that he had heard of a group of young superbeings scampering around these parts known as "the runaways". Dick was the type to offer his guidance to confused young kids like that. And the war offered no shortage of them.
For one week he wouldn't be Nightwing, but after just two days he was considering cutting the whole things short. He was worried about Bludhaven.
He smiled though, as he weaved through the crowds of people entering and exiting the beautiful park. Dicks sunglasses were propped up on his nose, and the warmth of the sun was hitting his skin. He wasn't used to this kind of weather. He had, from a distance, spotted a raven haired young woman snapping pictures of people. he was too far away to recognize her, but she did bring back his memories of Donna.

Smiling at a group of people that had come over to her, Donna tilted her head to the side a bit. Nodding her head at their question, she stood up to take a good picture of them rather then the other pictures that she had taken so far.
Sitting back down after she had gotten a place to send the picture that she had just taken of them, she closed her eyes slightly. Leaning back, she put her head back onto the top of the bench and took a deep breath as she felt the sun on her face. It felt so good. It had been a little while since she had felt it.
Opening her eyes once again, she lifted her head off of it's perch. Turning slightly, she took a picture of a couple that was slightly off in the distance. They made a perfect picture.
As she looked, her eyes had caught a glimpse of someone else. Dropping her camera back onto her lap, her eyes widened slightly, and she bit back a small yelp. That couldn't be Dick. There was no way that he would be here when she was right? Fighting back the urge to flee, she slumped down slightly on the bench. If he came anywhere near her, odds were he would walk right past her right?

Dick smiled as he leaned against the railing that enclosed a flowery garden. He continued to watch the woman snapping pictures. Something about her drew him in, but he simply couldn't put his finger on it.
He thought for a few minutes before deciding to walk over. Why not? She was pretty enough, and he was single enough.
It wasn't until he had slid closer that his jaw crashed to the floor. There was his fallen friend. His best friend. Sitting on a park bench.
But it couldn't be her, right? He walked forward some more, intent on solving this mystery. It had to be a look alike. Or he was imagining it, in which case he needed the vacation more than her thought.
But the image didn't fade away, and only became clearer as he treaded forward, striking the shoulders of people whom he didn't bother to sidestep.
Then, through little want of his own, his mouth opened and he spoke. It was like a reflex really.
"Donna?!"

Holding her camera in her hands, she kept her eyes on Dick, hoping against all hopes that he wouldn't see her. That he would walk away from here and not even notice her.
When he started walking over to her, she paled slightly and closed her eyes tightly. Maybe he wasn't actually heading over to her...maybe just in her general direction? My my, she was quite the optimist right now.
Looking away from him, she distracted herself by taking a couple more pictures of things. If she didn't look at him, there was a chance that he wouldn't recognise her. Although she doubted that that was true. She knew that he would recognise her.
Looking at him from the corner of one of her eyes, she cringed slightly noticing he was just getting closer and closer. This would not go too well in her opinion.
Hearing her name, she turned her head, and bit back a few tears she felt stinging at her eyes. Standing up, she glanced away from a second and said the only thing that she could muster at that moment.
"Hello Dick..."

Dick had begun breathing quite hard, his heart beating far too fast. He could not react for the time being. He could not think. He was not really in his right mind.
"What..?" , was the only word he said as he took a step closer to her. "How?"
He shook his head and looked away. He knew it was her, but he wouldn't listen to himself.
"Who are you?", he said in a slightly harsh tone as he glared downwards at the camera.
He shook his head again and rubbed one of his temples. He looked back up at her, his blue eyes clouded over with a tinge of tears and a great deal of confusion.
"Donna", he said in a softer tone as he took a step backwards to look at her. He wasn't usually at a loss for words, but this was one of those rare situations where his mind couldn't calculate things.

Looking at him, she raised one of her eyebrows slightly, waiting to see if he was going to say anything else apart from her name. This was pretty much how she had expected any meeting to go with her old friends. It was slightly depressing.
When he spoke again, she glanced down at the ground, a little unsure about just what she could say to that. Really, her whole coming back thing was an extremely long story.
Looking up once again, she noticed him looking away and sighed softly. Just as she opened her mouth to say something, she heard his next words, and took a few steps backwards, a hurt look visible on her features at his tone of voice.
"I am who I am." was all she said to him. She wasn't going to name herself. He knew as well as she did just who she was.
Looking away from him, she bit her bottom lip gently and took a deep breath. This was worse then she had thought it would be. It appeared to be going downhill.
When he said her name, she walked the few steps that was between the two of them, and put a hand lightly on his arm "It is me Dick." she stated, her voice soft as one stray tear slipped down her cheek. She was starting to wish she had stayed home now.

"Oh, Donna" , Dick said with a sigh as he watched a tear stream down her cheek.
He pressed his hand against her face to wipe the tear away, feeling rather guilty since we was likely the catalyst of her obvious distress.
There was, for at least a moment, nothing to say. Nothing for either of them to say. Donna was back, and it was fate that they had been at the same place at the same time. Not that Dick believed in fate. He was still wary, but his heart..that pesky little thing..told him it was his Donna.
The confusion stage was not yet over, but it subsided for an instant, paving way for joy at having his very best friend back. He stepped forward and wrapped his arms around her.
"I don't know what happened Donna" , he whispered. "But I missed you", he admitted. And he had. Her death had ripped him apart.

Looking away from him, Donna blinked a couple of times, forcing away all of the tears that were there. She needed to stay strong. Really she did. If she didn't, then everything she had worked on in her time of solitude would just disappear, and she didn't want that happening. At least not yet she didn't.
Taking his hand, she squeezed it tightly. She knew that this was probably hard for him, but it was also really hard for her. She couldn't think of anything to say to him that could make it easier for either of them, but she figured that nothing really would. It would be a lot like this with her other friends. Although this was slightly harder since Dick was her best friend and that.
When he wrapped his arms around her, she tensed slightly. It had been a little while since anybody had hugged her. It felt kind of weird to her, but after a few seconds, she hugged him back, extremely happy right at that moment that she had come across him.
"Well, you know that I died Dick..." she hesitated slightly and took a deep breath "But, I was...resurrected...as the Goddess of the Moon. My new home was, is New Cronus. It's a long story." biting her bottom lip, she smiled at his last words "I missed you as well Dick."

Dick wasn't sure what he should do next. He had heard some pretty unbelievable things in his life, and had even experienced a few, but this was taking it to a new level. He was sure this woman was his friend, but it hadn't really sunk in.
He shuffled backwards after their embrace ended. He wondered why she hadn't come back to her friends in the first place.
He put his hands in his pockets and looked downwards. "Guess I mucked up your plans to avoid me?"

Looking at him closely for a moment, she sighed softly to herself this was all so weird. Perhaps things would have been a lot better for her if she'd stayed in her home, or there was always the potential idea of her actually going to her friends and speaking to them. Although honestly, that idea had never come into her mind. She'd just automatically decided to avoid them.
Brushing her hair out of her eyes, she looked away from him and up at the sky. She was trying to think of things to say, but right now she honestly couldn't think of anything at that moment. It was slightly annoying.
At his next words, she paled slightly and shook her head "I wasn't avoiding you Dick." Kind of true and kind of not. Not that she would say anything to him of course. That would be bad...very, very bad.

Dick watched as she made slow and uncertain movement. She tended to do that kind of thing while uncomfortable. This was obviously one of those uncomfortable moments, and understandably so. Dick was pretty stressed himself, imagine what she must be going through. Poor Donna. That was something that was commonly uttered.
He looked down at her, they were standing very close. "Sure you were, Donna" . He shook his head and closed his eyes. It was hard to understand this woman at times, she had been through so much.
