The prospect of a meteor shower had brought Bart out to the roof of his apartment building, to watch the show. It was an amazing display, small fragments blossoming out like the remains of a star blossom fireworks rocket. The oohs and awes sang softly out, but the appearance of the comet streaking towards the city caught everyone's eyes, and forced the crimson streak into motion.
Bart turned and started running as his costume was flung out from a ring in front of him, and quickly found itself stretched across his form. He made his way to the skyscraper that was the target of the comet and had already started a small vortex to help absorb the impact, when the comet changed course on its own.
Odd, they don't normally do that, do they?
As quickly as the thought flashed through his mind, he was on the move again, tracking the course of the man-sized comet, and letting it land in the park.
Quick small vortices created by spinning his hands around sucked the oxygen from the smoldering fires, and cooled them enough to stop them from reigniting as Bart made his way down the long trench cut by the impact of the space object.

Tonight was a night like any other. At least to Chase it was. He was making a quick stop at Key stone city home of the famous Flash. Tho that had very little to do with why he was here. He made a study of meteorology and knew what the weather tomorrow was going to be like. And to just to him self he would admit that he was better at it then man on the television set.
The one thing he had never been able to under stand was the affects that these lumps of rocks caused on the weather as they passed on in to the atmosphere. At first there was nothing unusual about it and Chase set himself up on one of the taller buildings to take a look. He was dressed as he always was at night. His black combats boots and his black Gee. He was in no danger of being seen at the moment so his cloth mask that usually hid his face was down as he watched the show. The last one he had seen like this was back in Japan with his wife. Just thinking about that hurt.
He was snapped on out of his own world when the lights flashed and then the comment that was heading directly to the building he now stood upon. “Oh shit this is not good,” he said as he pulled his mask on and ran towards one of the nearest shadows where he then shifted himself to a nearby building. From which he saw it suddenly turn. “Definitely peculiar.” He muttered to himself before moving swiftly from shadow to shadow in an attempt to reach its landing zone only to find, as he remained as hidden as he could, the one man who in the entire city he hoped he would never meet. The Flash was already there.
