The small shower of meteors lit up the sky, each falling star burning brightly for a scant few seconds, before being reduced to dust and nothingness. Yet, for those that watched closely, there could be seen a single comet continuing its descent to Earth. At first the ball of flaming mass seemed about to pass over the city, yet the comets path distorted as its shape changed, altering the way it sliced through the air above; and with a sudden realization that a comet (of substantial size, considering typically nothing beyond the size of that of a tennis ball made it through the atmosphere) was indeed coming straight down at the central business distinct of Keystone
Panic ensued, crowds rushing to escape the resulting devastation that would be caused by the comets impact. Cars accelerated around one another, drivers crashing into everything from building sides, lamp poles, news stands and even other vehicles, all in an attempt to be safe; yet still the threat came, with no indication it would slow or stop its fall.
The impact shook those around, the sound wave that followed cracking glass, and even shattering smaller windows. Of those more curious than most, they started to mass toward the park, intent on seeing what had caused such an unexplained occurrence.
