A little Shoping? (Iron Man/Darkseid)

Rose stood outside of Tiffany's waiting for one Mr. Tony Stark for some unknown reason he had called and asked her come to Tiffany's he wanted to talk to her about something. If she had to haze a guess it had something to do with Pepper since he was here of all places even though they had targets painted on there backs. Rose let out an annoyed sigh as leaned on the wall and crossed her arms over her chest and ignoring the looks she was getting. Rich people they act like they never seen a woman in shorts before...maybe not this short though. Rose thought and was about to have some fun when she heard the door opened.

Tony walked out with a small bag in hand "Sorry it took so long..." he trailed off when he saw what Rose was wearing green daisy dukes and a blue t-shirt "Looking to get raped?" He asked with a raised brow. He knew that if anyone was dumb enough to try and rape Rose they would end up with a broken bone or two or lose a few needed body parts. "Anyways I need your help planning something out. It wouldn't be so hard if we wern't stuck in space because of the whole war crimes thing." He said as he grabbed Rose by the arm and pulled her into an alley when he saw a cop heading there way.

"Very funny." Rose replied commit about her looking to get raped "So what do you want me to do? Make and put up a sign in her room that says Virginia Potts will you marry me? While you keep her busy doing something?" She asked as they walked down the alley away from the busy New York streets and the cops. "Or do you plan on doing some kind of dinner thing or take her out in space?" She asked wondering what Tony was planning on doing when they get back up to the tower.

"The sign sounds kind of cheesey and I don't think going out in space would be a good idea she might end up getting sick. The dinner thing might work though maybe some place away from everyone else." Tony said as they turned a corner and headed down another alley. "Think you could get some people to do it?" He asked finally letting go of Rose he had forgot he had her by the arm and was pulling her along. "Um...could you hid some smelling salt near the table I might need it." He said after a moment "Pepper just might faint from this she looked like she was about to when I told her how I felt about her." He said

A loud boom echoed through out the alley as a boomtube opened and out stepped Darkseid in front of the two hero's. "DARKSEID!?!" Rose yelled out when she saw who it was, not wasting any time she ran at him as she got closer to him she jumped into the air trying to kick him in the head only to have him grab her by the ankle. Darkseid didn't let go so that left Rose hanging upside down "You are the first but you wont be the last Mr. Stark." Darkseid said before he used his omega beams on Tony just as he was running towards the god.

The Omega Force rips into Tony like he was a puppet and he writhes in pain and just like that he was gone. There was nothing left of him but the small bag he had been carrying. Rose hung there wide eyed watching the whole helplessly before she could do anything she was flunged into the near by wall as Darksied turned and left.

Sometime later....

Rose slowly came to her back was killing her from hitting the wall so hard rolling over she got on her hands and knees and grabbed the bag Tony had been holding and got up. "Nothing says I love you like having your husband to be vaporized by that evil bastard." Rose said to herself as she began to walk off half way out of the alley she "Damnit I'm going to have to tell Pepper what happened." She said again talking to herself. She wasn't good with things like this but it had to be done. Rose took out her comlink and disappeared back to the watchtower hopefully Pepper was still up there.

Pepper had beamed down silently, crying softly the whole way down. She knew what she felt was nothing more than shock right now. The world had stopped for her - sounds were muted, smells were gone, and her eyes had tunnel vision focused straight ahead of her. Her confident, head-up-in-the-air walk was reduced to a near-drunken shuffle that resulted in her nearly breaking an ankle or two in her high heels. Her purse was slung around her shoulder but she wasn't thinking about it. What she was thinking about was Tiffany's directly in front of her. She continued to walk forward towards it until a mark on the ground stopped her. She looked down.

Then, on the crowded sidewalk, she fell to her knees and broke into sobs, her hands on the burn mark that was the only clue that the man she loved had been standing right there. Everything he'd ever said to her raced through her mind, but most off all there were those words..."Everything Slade said was true I am in love with you have been for a while now but something always seemed to get in the way of me telling you."

"I love you too, Tony,"[/b] she whispered, and realized that she had never said it back to him, that all she had done was kiss him. She'd never said it back. The realization brought fresh tears. People around her wondered what the woman on the sidewalk was crying about, but no one was asking.
