Seeing a new guest has arrived, she eagerly approached him, until she saw it was Tony Stark. This was the famous man that her cousin worked for so diligently. It wasn't as if Pepper would tell her so, but he better be treating her well. As she walked over to the man in the black and silver trunks, Shockwave smiled wide and introduced herself as Gwen. Hopefully he wouldn't notice that she was related to his beloved caretaker. That would just be awkward.
Peering into the cooler that held the drinks, she realized she should hop inside to see if she could refill the thing. Walking inside, Gwen found a few more cases of various soda. She attempted to lift all four of them, and all grunting aside, she determined she better just take one. Shockwave smiled to her guests as she walked outside, wobbling with the soda. If she was supposedly a hero, why wasn't she strong like one? Gwen sighed. It will come in time...

Pepper grinned as Gwen punched her in the arm and then returned her attention to the swimming guest. As acrobatic as Spider-Man was, it really did freak her out a little bit that he was wearing his mask while swimming. She took another gulp of soda and snatched a handful of carrots. She wasn't necessarily a health nut, but she wanted to get something healthy in her stomach before loading up on chips and cookies. That way she wouldn't feel so guilty afterwards.
She noticed Tony entering the party and turned away. He'd never seen her in this little clothing and it was awkward. She moved away from the refreshments table, resting her soda near the chaise where her bag and towel was, and headed inside to find Gwen struggling with the soda coolers. She stooped over and picked up a second one, grinning at her cousin. "Still trying to force yourself to be strong?" she asked gently. "Maybe you can try lifting weights. Seems like your power's in electricity, not in muscles."
She normally knew what to say, but her cousin always made her trip over the words sometimes. She was trying to tell Gwen she didn't need to be strong to be a hero. Try to comfort the frustrated girl some.

Gwen Stratford let out a large hiss as she dropped the soda cooler to the ground. Taking in a deep breath, the young woman rubbed her hands together and lifted the handles again, only to have Pepper kindly pick up another. Gwen's jaw dropped animatedly when her older cousin made a comment about her power-- In electricity, not muscles. "I'm workin' on it!" Shockwave announced loudly, letting out a laugh as she placed the cooler under the table. Her hand rested on the table as she let out a loud breath. "That was a little tiring." Gwen admitted, as her pale skin began to heat up from the sun. Contemplating whether to grab some sunscreen, she dropped herself into the cooler and grabbed a water bottle.
"So, Virginia, you can still hang out here, right?" Gwen asked honestly as she nodded to Stark. If Pepper couldn't have fun at the party because her boss was there, Gwen was going to get angry. She really didn't seem to like that guy.

Pepper looked over at Tony again, then back to Gwen. Her cousin would likely notice that Pepper's face was actually a little bit flushed. Yes...blushing. Pepper was honestly wishing she hadn't left her towel back at on the chaise or that she had chosen to walk around in her bikini. But for that matter, she settled next to her cousin and did her best not to look in Tony's direction. "You're family," she said softly. "Family trumps work at social gatherings."
She tried to smile and punched Gwen's shoulder. "Still shy about your powers, Wynnie? Come on, you at least have them. I'm still using a tazer and pepper spray."

Tony put his drink and towel down before taking off running towards the pool when he got to the edge he jump into the air and brought his legs up the grabbed them to cannon balled into the water landing near Peter. A few moments later he came back up "What do you do sleep in that mask of yours?" He asked looking Peter "You know your not that bad looking why you hiding behind your mask?" He asked wondering what was with Peter no one was going to attack or call the news paper.

Gwen's eyes widened as she saw a hint of pink rise to Pepper's cheeks. "No-- way!" She whispered, leaning close to her cousin. "Are you serious?" But Pepper dropped it and stated about the power of blood, and Gwen smiled triumphantly. Take that, Mr. I-Can-Own-Anything-Since-I'm-Rich-And-A-Ladies-Man! She thought happily, though Tony Stark's nickname was poorly made.
"I am not shy!" Shockwave whined. "Gwen Stratford is never shy!" She announced, thrusting her water bottle into the air, only to squeeze it slightly, sending cool droplets onto her head. She frowned and felt the top of her head. She wiped off her head and sent a sheepish smile to Pepper. Suddenly, she felt a giant splash of water from the large pool in front of them. They were splashed by Pepper's boss. Gwen sighed. "Well, pepper spray is always fun..."

Annoyed, Mack tapped her foot impatiently as she rapped her knuckles against the door again. Unfortunately, the action did not bring anyone rushing to open said door for her. She cast a quick glance around before whistling low and letting herself inside. Unfortunately, no one appeared to be ready to greet her with warm smiles and hugs, which led Mackenzie to believe that the party had already started... without her.
Pushing her sunglasses back so that they rested atop her head, she gave a quick glance around before strolling through the house and managing to find her way out back to where people seemed to be gathered. Dropping her green and white towel on a nearby chair, she held her arms out and grinned.
"You guys didn't even wait on me?" she demanded in a mocking voice before grinning at Gwen. Then she walked over to where Gwen and Pepper seemed to be lounging. "Bikini day!" she shouted as she motioned to her own.
[OOC: I'm so sorry. Trying to fight boredom.]

ooc| S'all good! I encourage everyone to join when they're bored. xD That's what these threads are for, riiight? xDD
"Heh-- Hey!" Gwen called to the newly arrived guest. "You were laaaate!" Said she, letting out a laugh. "Next time be a bit more on time, and I'll tell everyone not to move until you step foot in that door!" Shockwave smiled wide to Mackenzie and grabbed a soda, offering it to her. "But yeah, seeing as how it's so freakishly hot out, I figured, eh, what's wrong with a little fun?" The young woman said arrogantly, dropping her shoulder in a small shrug. Gwen turned back to the yard. The pool was shimmering as the waves continued to crash against the concrete decking. To her right, she saw the boy reading and the gruff-looking man standing against the wall. She smiled back at Mackenzie and Pepper. "This is actually turning out kind of well." Hopefully some would still arrive.

"That's all I ask," Mackenzie replied seriously as she declined the soda with a shake of her head. "I don't suggest giving me anything with too much sugar in it, Gwen. Don't you remember the last time you gave me a single can of Root Beer?"
Lost in thought, Mackenzie stared blankly at the water and recalled the time she had thoroughly enjoyed a single can of Root Beer, only to find herself flying around in circles until she, unfortunately, ran into a lightpost. As she easily knocked it over and sent it toppling onto a police car. The night she spent in lock up, simply because her friends were too cheap to bail her out, was less than warm and welcoming.
Shuddering a bit, she took off her sunglasses and sat them on a table nearby before shrugging out of a pair of surf shorts. "But, it's okay. I'm fully operational today and I think that I'm going to take advantage of this so-called pool party that you're throwing. So, I'm only going to warn you all once..." she trailed off as she jumped rather high into the air (some might call it flying) before doing a flip and diving straight toward the water. "Heads up!"
Then, with a glee, she crashed headfirst into the water.

finally someone had joined Pete in the pool! Pete pulled of his mask and chucked it with the other stuff. Waddling over to the red headed girl (pete always had a thing for red-heads). Pete smiled and offered a hand while still trying to keep his head above water "Hi there" Pete said "Nice that someone finally joined me in the water, Names Peter Parker' He added as he tried his best to smile handsomely.

Cassandra arrived at the party wearing her usual bored expression. Upon seeing two of her colleagues, Dick and Gwen (and some other heroes she'd not had the chance to meet yet) she commented rather disinterestedly"I just happened to be in the area and thought I'd see what the deal with this party was. Hope you don't mind"[/color]
Having said all she was going to say for now, Cassandra noticed an empty lounge chair, spread her towel over it, took off her caftan and sandals revealing a rather attractive black one piece swimsuit, got a plate of food and an orange soda took out her book and settled down to read and enjoy the sounds of the pool party going on around her.

"Not doing this. Not doing this." Raven said to herself standing outside of the door. She had heard and had been so bored she had decided to come. Now, she was seriously regretting having finished her book. Hidden benieth her cloak, was an old bikini Star had bought years ago and had never been worn.
It was dark blue and Kory had begged Rae forever to wear it before giving up. Raven turned around.
"That's it. I'm going home. So not doing this."

Gwen turned her gaze to the door where she saw Batgirl. "Well, you look excited to be here!" Gwen said jokingly as she explained herself. Either way, Gwen was happy her colleague had showed her face. It was nice to see how bustling this party was becoming. She grinned and stretched backwards with her arms in the air, only wearing a black, white and yellow bikini along with baggy jeans to cover herself. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a figure standing at the front door.
Gwen let out an excited gasp. "Hey, hey, come back!" She called desperately, running to the door and cursing at herself as she fidgeted with the old lock. The door soon flew open, and Gwen saw her friend walking down the driveway. Uh, uh, no way! She thought in her mind loudly, knowing that Raven would hear it. "Rae! Come baaaack!" Shockwave cried. She ran over to her friend, grabbed her by the wrist and prepared to pull her back into the house.

Raven heard Gwen's thoughts three seconds before the redhead grabbed Raven's pale wrist, calling out loud for her to stay.
Raven turned and looked at Shockwave emotionlessly, using her free hand to pull her cloak tighter around her bikini.
"Sparky, let go. I don't do party's. I just came to see what was making all the noise."

Pepper's mind had drifted off for a bit, and when she looked up and saw Gwen had moved back inside, she hitched a deep breath and moved back to her chaise. Settling down, she ran her hands through her red-gold hair, and shot another look at the pool. It was hot out and the pool looked really nice. With a deep sigh, she stood and went to the deep end of the pool. She climbed up on the board and did a smooth dive off of the end of it.
Whoa!
The water was cold! It hit her like a shock as she dropped below the surface, but she continued all the way to the bottom, then pushed off, hurtling herself straight up and out of the water. She cheered as she surfaced and then swam carefully to the wall, taking stock of who was in the pool and where she could go next.
