Remy hated coming here. It was too much like when he was a child. It hit too close to home. But he was here to make a few things right tonight. He was here to end the tiny reign of a miserable wretch. It was a small and not very traveled part of the Big Apple, and was wracked with crime and sinister activies. But there was one man who was able to crawl under Remys skin especially. He was a man with slick black hair and a medium build. He was wealthy and feared. He exploited everyone. Men, women and children. He was a drug dealer, a con-artist and a pimp. And tonight, after learning of the senseless murder of a young girl at the hands of this man, he knew he had to act. The man took advantage of the poor and naive, and even had his own army of children thieves. It was disgusting really.
As Gambit approached the large and presumptious home, he pulled out a cigarette and lit it right off the bat. He hadn't told anyone of his plans tonight, as it might just be too political. He might make too many enemies, but anything to get this guy off the streets. He was tempted towards murder as he recalled how many crimes and heartache this man had caused. The large white house loomed in front of him. He could hear the sounds of a wild party as he stepped forward and prepared to fulfill his moral duty.

"Don't you know those things can kill you? I mean, trying to storm this house will get you killed faster, but still, cigarettes aren't exactly kosher." Tim Drake, aka Robin, leaned against the pillar heading into the house, his uniform blending in with the dark of the night. Stepping into the light, he looked at Gambit, paying close attention to his eyes. He had power, and Robin knew not to underestimate him.
"So, do you have a plan or are you just going to kick the door in and get yourself shot to hell?" Tim asked, knowing that trying to take this particular criminal down wasn't going to be easy. It would be compounded if Gambit didn't have a plan to deal with the unknown.

Catman was always on the move, receiving orders from anonymous people and getting paid large sums of money to kill people. Thomas couldn't say he didn't like his job because after the kill, there was always a big jackpot of money waiting for him. This time, however, he would soon find out he had to work with not one, but two heroes to get the job done. That was something he didn't like.
Amanda Waller, a woman Catman did a lot of consulting with, had called him yesterday evening to inform him of a terrible, terrible man in New York City that needed to be "taken care of". Catman would be paid 500 grand if he picked the man off, the largest he's ever received to kill anyone. He, of course, accepted and got the next flight to New York City. Once he arrived, he changed into his Catman suit and went off towards the house.
He soon arrived and noticed two heroes conversing. Why on earth would they be chit-chatting in front of the man's house? Were they there to take the man down, too? Catman didn't care, he just needed to kill the man and get his money. He emerged from his spot behind the bushes and crossed his arms over is chest. He walked towards the two heroes and noticed one to be Batman's sidekick, Robin.
"Why don't we stop talking and kill the god damned man?!"

As Gambit stood there, smoing his cigarette he heard the voice of a young man berating him on his habits. It was a bit surprising to the Cajun and he turned to see who was speaking to him. Turned out to be Robin himself, the notorious Batmans sidekick. Gambit raised an eyebrow as he looked down at the shorter male.
"You nosey, eh, Boy Wonder?", he observed as he dropped his cigarette to the ground and stomped it out with one of his armored boots. "Why not you leave dis one to Remy....", he began when he was cut off by the entrance of yet another costumed man.
He stared in disbelief as the man began to speak to them as well. "Dat is what I am trying to do, no?", he said in a slightly agitated tone. He started quickly towards the house, a running and leaping sort of bounding. "Remy busy now though!", he yelled back at the two costumed strangers.

Robin moved out of the way, just in time, too. Great, not only did he have to worry about Catman, but it seemed Gambit wanted to kill, too. He couldn't let that happen, no matter what the man had done. Kicking out, he attempted to trip up Gambit, knowing his athletic prowess was almost as good as his. Almost.
"You know I won't let you kill anyone, Catman. As for you, Gambit, you should know better. Killing somebody never solves anything, only starts the cycle up again. He will go to jail, and he will serve his time. With any luck, he won't ever make it out, but I cannot allow anyone to die, today." Crouching down, Tim waited for the attacks he knew were coming. If he was against them, Gambit and Catman would take him out so he wouldn't, or couldn't get in their way. He didn't want to fight, especiall Gambit, but to keep him from doing something he would come to regret, Tim would.

Catman knew as soon as he spotted the Boy Wonder that he would be against him so when Robin tried to stop, he wasn't surprised at all. He was surprised, though, that the other man wanted to kill the man inside the house. He was apparently named Gambit and, just by his action, Catman could tell they would work well together. Catman pulled a knife from his belt and looked over at Robin.
"You're not going to stop us, Robin. No matter how hard you try, the man inside that building will be dead by the end of tonight."
Catman threw the knife in his hand at Robin's shoulder and, without waiting for what was going happen next, ran through the front gates, and lunged onto the front porch. He ducked down behind a chair and slid his signature claws onto his knuckles. He popped back up from behind the chair and ran off the porch. He jumped onto the side of the roof and, using his claws, climbed onto the roof.
Once there, he ran over towards a skylight window and crouched down beside it. Inside, he spotted the man he was hired to kill. The man had black hair and was skoking a fat cigar. Catman growled quietly and cut a circle in the window with his claws. He stood up and searched for the two costumed men. Robin was clearly trying to stop Gambit from killing the man inside the house. Catman smriked.
"You can't stop the world's greatest tracker from killing his prey! You should know that by now, Robin!"

Dingy wasn't the word that Linda would have used to call this place. More like atrocious and broken beyond repair. She had come to this part of town to clear her head. Something her friends and family found odd as she was usually a bouncing ball of happiness and gas.
Linda was walking down the sidewalk wearing her usually blue mini with her signature white Supergirl shirt underneath. Of couse it was hidden by a black leather jacket. She didn't have her cape with her. Something she wished she'd brought to cover her now freezing legs.
After walking for a few more minutes she decided she was ready to "fly" home as her feet were getting tired. She looked around and ensured herself that no one was looking and slowly floated into the atmosphere.
She was flying low over a gigantic white house when the scene caused her to stop. Two men seemed to be fighting. Of course any other night she would have kept flying, because she usually had homework to do at the last minute. But tonight was different. While flying over she saw a boy that looked a bit younger than the others. She began to slowly descend but then stopped when she saw a man in a cat costumr throw something and then dodge behind a chair. This was obviously something more than a little street fight.
She watched as the man made his way to roof while the other two men fought it out below.
"You can't stop the world's greatest tracker from killing his prey! You should know that by now, Robin!" said the man as he began to slowly cut a hole in a small skylight. Linda silently landed on the roof behind him.
"But maybe I can." she said reaching for the mans cape.
