Music flowed through the small headphones that were lodged gently in Shockwave's small ears. Every so often, she would feel a jolt from the electronic and her natural static, but it didn't hurt; sometimes it even tickled. Her old, worn shoes lightly tapped on the concrete as she walked around Bludhaven, looking for a chance to 'hero-teer'. After much walking, Gwen eventually just changed to the radio off of her music player, listening in on the station that streamed the crime. Police radio. Suddenly, a serious sounding voice commanded that someone be at a house-- B and E-- called 911-- The young woman's brow narrowed as her dull, grey eyes darted to the nearest street sign.
It was odd that Gwen Stratford had actually listened in on the police radio, tonight. Someone was 'breaking and entering', leaving the scarlet-locked woman to assume someone had simply broke in to a home, most likely to steal. Finally finding the correct street, she ran down it, feeling completely prepared as she ran down the street, looking for the address given in the report. Gwen pushed some of her scarlet waves behind her left ear as she approached the house. There was a large, dirty truck out on the curb, and the home didn't appear taken care of either. With a small moment of silence, Gwen squinted, pushing away her anxieties of doing the right thing. There was always a pang of fear before she could go and arrest someone.
Shockwave walked up the entryway and peered in through the suspiciously open door. "H..Hey!" Her voice was raw-- she cleared her throat and called again. "Hey, who's here?!" Gwen's voice grew somewhat strict as she walked deeper within the dark home. Adrenaline poured through her veins. Finally I'll be recognized as a hero! She thought happily. Everything had a dusty appearance to it, and Gwen couldn't resist to dropping her finger along a small drawer along the wall of the house and leaving a long streak of clean. Her ashen gaze continued to shift around the house and saw no one. She shrugged as she walked back to the doorway, not noticing the man who had broken into the home behind the door of the other room.
