The War Memorial (Open to ALL)

[Pepper]

Pepper had no idea how Tony was reacting to her little speech. She was still a little amazed she'd even said it herself. And part of her wanted him to react, to glare, to look at her and say she was wrong or right or whatever. But he stared stonily, straight ahead, and so she looked away and began to think about what steps they would have to take. Blood sample would be good, even if it was unnecessary. Maybe just for his state of mind, to prove to the world he wasn't a nutcase. That could be arranged. And then a return to Stark Towers. Tony needed a break, that much was clear. She would clear his schedule for a week, a month, whatever, see if someone else couldn't run the business for a bit. If Obadiah Stane hadn't turned out to be a nutcase he would be the perfect choice.

She began to get her planner out of her purse, to look at the names and numbers she had written there, but before she could do anything there came the roaring sound of rending metal, and she looked up in horror to see the wall of the airship come apart as though Magneto himself was splitting it in two. The figure that marched through, however, was not Magneto. I was Superman. Or...as he spoke...not Superman. Superboy-Prime, from the arrogant tone and threats on their lives.

Frustrated and furious, Pepper stood up and moved squarely in front of Tony, glaring furiously at this newcomer. "I'm sorry," she said bitingly, barely keeping her temper in check, "but the killing and the maiming and the stupidity is going to have to wait for another time. Mr. Stark is tired and needs a rest. So get the hell out of here and leave him alone."

Without hesitating, Colossus plowed his way through both foes and allies alike, not once caring if his beefy limbs struck friends, as to reach the newcomer that had arrived via flight. He came to a grinding halt in front of the airship near a woman that appeared to be addressing the man with an S etched across his chest.

"Mr. Stark is tired and needs a rest. So get the hell out of here and leave him alone," he caught the tailend of the conversation just moments before he positioned himself between the woman and the new menace.

"She is right, comrade," Colossus declared as he glared at the newcomer with disdain. "Enough is enough. Leave this woman out of it." He had not been able to see everything from his position before, but he had gotten the feeling that the newcomer hoped to bring this woman and her friend bodily harm.

Colossus would see that she remained unharmed.

[Iron Man]

Tony listened to everything that Pepper said not saying a word or even looking at her stared stonily, straight ahead when she stopped talking he finally looked at her "The world needs me? you need to take a good look around ever since the war ended and we came back home everyone is scared of us they would rather get hurt and die then have any of us touch them." He said looking her in the eye and was about to say more when he saw and heard the wall being torn open like it was a tin can and what looked like Superboy coming in moments later.

It only took him a minuet to realize it wasn't the boy of steel he knew of but Superboy-Prime standing up quickly he put his hand over Pepper's mouth from behind to keep her from saying anything else then leaned in and whispered in her ear "Not another word he will kill you." He said knowing the boy would do just that he wasn't like any other villain Superboy-Prime was all about power and he had an unlimited supply of it even the Superman family had a very hard time stopping him. "Colossus whatever you do don't go charging in blindly or you'll end up dead." He said after the man had shown up.

Tony pushed Pepper towards the opened back end of the air ship "Get out of here." He order before turning back to Superboy-Prime and firing his repulsors at him full blast and made sure not to hit Colossus who was just standing there like a pretty paper weight. Tony couldn't afford to hold back if he did he was as good as dead along with everyone else. Superboy-Prime was blown out of the ship and landed a good ways away from where he had been at which gave Tony enough time to run out and grab his helmet and put it on before taking off into the air heading towards the boy.

Superboy-Prime got up dusted himself off and flew towards Iron Man "I'm going to take you apart then I'm going to go after your big mouth girlfriend and teach her some manners." He said before punching Iron Man in the face denting the helmet and sending the man crashing to the ground only to be followed by Superboy-Prime who came down and slammed his feet into Iron Man's stomach then stepped off him and kicked him in the ribs sending him flying.

Iron man flew threw the air and crashed down at the base of the Memorial a few moments later he got up holding his side he hadn't been fighting that long and already he was hurting a lot. "What's the matter old man tired already?" Superboy-Prime asked as he walked up to him. "I'm not old." Iron Man said before using his pulse bolts on Superboy-Prime knowing it wouldn't do much good but he had to do something to keep him from going after Pepper and killing her even if it meant he might not come out of this fight alive.

[Black Panther]

The Black Panther had arrived just in time to watch iron Man and the metal megalith, Colossus going head to head with a strange man...

"Superman?" T'Challa called out to him uncertainly until the stranger revealed the bloody symbol on his chest.

"By the spirit of the Panther!" he exclaimed. The stories he had heard of this particular madman were not to be taken lightly. He readied his battle stance and hoped his training was enough to keep him from hurting any civilians.
