Cain sighed. Apparently these people didn't want to go in peace. Oh well. If this is what they want, they asked for it. He stood in the middle of the chaos as people dove and dodged this way and that. A few blaster bolts and some bullets pinged off of him. Out of the corner of his eye he spotted Pete finally getting off the snack table and into the fray.
"Colossus! Lets rock!"

Colossus moved through the throng of people like they weren't even there until he caught sight of a woman kneeling next to a man. But, before she could approach them to see if both her fine, he realized that someone was firing at his back.
"Colossus! Let's rock!"
Looking over his shoulder, he spotted his comrade just standing in the middle of the chaos without an apparent care in the world. Juggernaut merely stood there while bullets whizzed off of him.
The armed man continued to fire at Colossus even though his bullets had no effect on his armored body. Annoyed, he reached out a gargantuan hand and picked up the man as though he was some sort of rag doll. "You look frustrated, comrade. Let me help you."
As he turned on his heel, Colossus walked toward Juggernaut with the man in hand. The culprit continued to kick and curse, but the Russian paid him no mind.
"Do they need our assistance?" he asked his comrade as he glanced around at the chaos around them. He feared for the memorial, and the realization that someone was attacking it angered him. "Ah, it seems we must clear a path," he muttered as a convoy of Hummers skidded to a halt nearby and reinforcements emerged.

"Oh yea!!" Juggernaut roared an intelligible challenge and nodded at Colossus. Then, he lowered his head and charged directly at the convoy of Humvees. Metal twisted and shrieked. Those men that had managed to get out of the vehicle were far better off than those that were late getting out. The ones outside were throw clear and were spared the crushing fate of their brothers.
After he plowed through the convoy, Cain paused at the end of his run and turned around to admire his handiwork. "Is this all you can throw against me Slade?! I few humans and one weird little girl with some claws?!"

As X-23 turned to attack the soldier that had so foolishly shot his gun, Pamela immediately backed away and thrust her arms into the air, sprouting massive, thick leaves to shield herself. Poison Ivy was indeed a skilled, matured fighter, but that in no way meant that X-23 couldn't slice through her leaves as if they were paper. Ivy found herself lacking ideas of offense. Something must be done.
Once the two X-Men joined the battle and threw Slade's men around to break through the immense crowd, Pamela sprinted her way behind the two, hoping that X-23 wasn't following her. She needed a moment to get her thoughts in place, and amongst a fight was not the wisest place to take such time.
Pamela Isley had to admit, she was not the one for losing nor asking for help. But an exception would be made. With a swift round-off handspring, she dropped herself in front of the two men and asked with fast words: "Whenever you get done with these sorry excuses for a defense, would you feel up to helping me take on this clone-gone-wrong?" There was a slight bit of plea in her voice, but she needed help for once. Believe it or not, Poison Ivy didn't enjoy attacking for fun-- she just ended up in a situation where blood must be shed. And at this time, there was no getting out of it. Pamela turned around and narrowed her brow, readying herself for X-23's next move, regardless of the X-Men's reactions. She simply hoped they considered the fact that an alliance could be made.

Tony sat up once it didn't make his head feel any better but he couldn't stay laying here it wasn't safe. Slowly he got to his feet and began walking some place anywhere but where he was at the moment "I own one for that Emma." He said looking over at the former white queen of the Hellfire Club who was busy looking over the many bullet holes she had in her dress and the dirt and blood.

X-23 didn't follow after Poison Ivy instead she went after easier targets the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents taring into them like they were nothing she stabbed them in the head sliced there throats and disemboweled them. Whatever it took to kill them she did it they did fight back though by shooting her it hardly slowed her down although she'll have to dig all those bullets out later that was never fun. Once they were all dead X-23 set her sights on Juggernaut, Colossus, and Poison Ivy and ran towards them ready to attack and kill them as well as anyone else who got in the way.

Tony didn't reply to Pepper - which was mildly upsetting and not entirely expected. She had counted on being a familiar face when he came out of his trance, but he seemed far more inclined to speak to Emma. Well, she had to be fair. She hadn't really saved his life as Emma had, and she had told him to get up and start walking.
Around her, the mutant girl with the claws was attacking viciously, and Pepper moved carefully around her. She wasn't sure where to lead Tony and decided it would be best to play the role of background follower for now. So that if Tony decided he needed her, he would whip around and she'd be right there.
He was walking in his armor, minus the helmet. Emma had pulled it off. Pepper glanced over to verify the helmet's location, and then focused on Tony again.

Raven's hands were trembling, though from what she didn't want to think about. Surly it couldn't be supressed emotion, could it? Yet she could almost feel her own fury that today of all days, in this place of all places would this happen. Putting extra energy into pushing her feelings back down she started to move throughout the field.
Kneeling down by the wounded she went from one person to another, healing minor and major wounds alike. Some were too far gone to save, but those she could she did. Nobody deserved to die like this, and no family deserved to learn that one of their own had died like this. However, the shield agents she healed, once able, all had a sudden change of heart, turning back to their crafts and leaving the field.
She couldn't help but notice that more and more were being found dead, and she looked for the cause. A young woman, no older than Raven herself, with claws of adamantium by the looks of it coming from her hands and boots. There was a blood lust in her eyes that sent a shiver up the cloaked girls spine.
As Rae watched, the mutant turned her sites on Colosus and Juggernaut.
*watch your backs!* she told them telepathically.

T'Challa was outraged that all of this was happening. As head of the Wakandan delegation here in Washington, he had felt honored to be a part of this solemn ceremony.
He was not surprised when evil doers would take advantage of situations like this and try to spread as much pain and misery as possible.
"Get our people back, Otenga." he barked to one of the nearby delegates and royal adviser in Swahili as he removed his dashiki revealing the garb of the Black Panther and pulled his mask over his head. "I would rather not shed the blood of Africans in this place of mourning."
The Black Panther saw in the midst of the chaos, a young woman with red hair and green skin and he leaped over the crowds trying to reach her. He stopped to break people apart when the violence was too dangerous, leaving a half dozen or so unconscious in his wake. T'Challa locked eyes for a few seconds with one blond woman he had recognized: Pepper Potts, assistant to one Tony Stark aka Iron Man.
Then he stopped staring and dashed towards Ivy, doing highly athletic somersaults and back flips to reach her.

She-Hulk crashed landed in front of Juggernaut, Colossus and Poison Ivy and quickly caught X-23 and threw her away like yesterday's trash before turning to look behind her "You two going to stand there looking pretty all day or are you going smash something and you shouldn't you be locked away in Arkham Asylum for the rest of your life?" She said looking at Pamela not every happy that the crazy lady who had this weird thing for plants was running around free. When all this was over with she was going to have to have a talk with the so called dark night about this.

Tony made his way into one of the air ships that was on the ground then sat in a chair and put his face in his hands he couldn't believe what he had done in the last few weeks what he did to all those people. "I don't know if I can do this anymore Pepper." He said knowing the woman was close by with out looking up "With all the things I've done maybe I should just quit everything." He said a moment later finally looking up at Pepper. "I wouldn't be surprised if most of them came after me and I don't think I would stop them if they did, I'm sure you hate me too." Tony said looking away from her gaze.

Pepper followed Tony silently and watched as he sat down and put his head in his hands. She closed her eyes, letting out a sigh of relief, but didn't take a seat. He would likely need her standing - strong when he needed strength. It was a role she had taken on silently after the war.
She listened to him speak and opened her eyes to see him looking up at her. He mentioned not wanting to fight anymore, and he mentioned her hating him. The first part she could deal with. The second was just ridiculous. The opposite, in fact. She had never been so relieved to see him alive and well. Well - except when he'd come back from the war, perhaps. But still...
"I don't hate you, Tony," she said. "Emma Frost injected you with an antidote. She has the needle. Any blood samples we manage to take from you within the next few hours will prove you had traces of a toxin in your bloodstream. Once it's released that you were under control of something, people will realize you didn't attack anything deliberately. You didn't have control of your own body."
She stopped, thinking. "Not...that that makes you feel any better right now, I'm sure."
Forget this. She sat down next to him. She didn't try to touch him or look him in the eye. She instead looked straight ahead and continued to talk. "You first became Iron Man to rid the world of your weapons. You never went after any other type. You didn't want a body count to be your only legacy. It was your drive and your determination. But you can't stop the world. You can't stop wars. You can't make the world the safest place to live in. But you can do your best to try. And your best, Tony, is pretty good."
Now she looked at him. "'I shouldn't be alive. Unless it was for a reason. I'm not crazy, Pepper. I just finally know what I have to do. And I know in my heart that it's right.' You said that to me years ago, Tony. And you have been through a lot. I agree you should take a break. But you shouldn't give it up completely. The world still looks to you as a protector, as a role model, as an embodiment of strength. You might rely on a machine to live, but I would challenge your mind over that machine any time. You're strong, Tony. And you have a purpose in life. You've said that yourself."
She couldn't believe she was saying all of this. She stopped talking and withdrew into her own mind for a little bit. Why was she telling him to keep fighting? She feared for him every time he went into battle. She worried endlessly when he didn't come home on time, (much as she refused to allow herself to believe that). There was nothing, she was sure, that she would want than for him to stop being Iron Man and go back to Mr. Anthony Edward Stark, billionaire inventor and technical king.
But he wasn't that man anymore. Or so she thought. If he stopped being Iron Man, he would lose an enormous part of his life. If not his whole life. And Pepper wasn't about to watch the man she cared about so badly sink into depression and give up on the thing that had given him a purpose.

Superboy-Prime sat on a creator on the moon watching everything that was taking place on earth at this War Memorial and laughing at the impostor hero's trying to stop Deathstroke and his little group. Getting up he shot off into space heading for earth once more Superboy-Prime rocketed downward with tremendous speed, pulling clouds and a great amount of pressure with him as he came closer to the world before he let up enough so when he landed he didn't destroy everything it wouldn't be much fun if everyone died from the explosion.
Superboy-Prime made his way over to where he saw Tony and Pepper disappeared and grabbing a hold of the side of the ship and ripped it opened like it was made of tissue paper "Come out, come out wherever you are. I promise it won't hurt...much." he said looking around a bit before spotting the two. "There's the fake hero and his stupid side kick." He said as he stepped into the ship and made his way over to the couple.

[With X-23’s permission]
To say Storm was displeased with how things had turned out would be a grave understatement. One moment they were honouring the memory of the fallen heroes, and the next everything went so terribly wrong. It would seem that there truly was not an instant of piece in the lives of superheroes, not even during something as sacred as this; but if villains had no respect for the sanctity of life as many had demonstrated in the past, then it wasn’t shocking they wouldn’t respect the dead, either. Delicate brows drew together as the chaos unfolded, and although the African goddess was somewhat perplexed by Cyclops’ lack of action, perhaps the man was too stricken with grief to do anything. Ororo too was mourning the loss of a mentor and a dear friend, and all the others who’ve lost their lives so callously in the war, but she has always had her own way of dealing with emotions, and grief was no different. Her pain was her own, never to be witnessed.
Summoning her power, her eyes began to mist over as eerie white overran the blue of her irises, and Windrider called forth the powerful gusts of wind that plucked her from the ground. Directing her glowing gaze downwards as she flew over the area, the weather witch caught sight of the rampaging clawed mutant with obvious bloodlust in her eyes, just as she was hurled away by She-Hulk. Although the dark-haired girl surely exhibited some feral characteristics, blind rage seeming so familiar, the fact that she possessed metal claws led Storm to conjecture the girl ought to have a healing factor. Regardless of how strong She-Hulk was, X-23 would recover from the toss sooner than later. Swooping down and towards where the girl still lay, Ororo ionized the atmosphere around her hand and brought her fingers closer to X-23’s forehand, discharging an EMP that would drain electrical energy from her brainwaves, thus effectively incapacitating X-23 for the time being. One less threat to worry about.
Maneuvering herself towards where most of the superheroes were gathered at, white gaze briefly turning towards T’Challa though as she had no visible irises it was unnoticeable, yet Storm wasted not a moment more as she spoke calmly, “The girl will present no threat for now, so we should focus our efforts on defeating other villains.” With that said, the goddess let her thoughts flow towards Emma Frost, knowing a telepath of her caliber – especially one who always eavesdropped – would catch them easily. ~Emma, if there was ever a moment when your prying telepathy was quite so required, it is now. Please, do a mind scan and check if there are any other threats we might not be yet aware of.~ True, she could have turned to Rachel with such a request as well, but even she had to acknowledge that Frost possessed abilities that were honed like a scalpel, while Rachel’s sheer potential was more akin to a sledge-hammer.

T'Challa watched as the heroine called Storm manipulated the weather around her to deal with the teen aged berserker.
"I agree." The Black Panther said regally as he continued to look for the green skinned red headed woman he saw earlier.
Just then T'Challa saw a blur streaking across the sky. At first he thought it could have been either Superboy or Supergirl. He had trouble keeping the "Super Family" names straight. Until the "blur" landed on a nearby grounded airship and the figure ripped a wall apart to enter.
While The Black Panther could not see who the person was from this distance, it was clear that he was up to no good.
He ran as fast as he could towards the vessel. He was confident that the beautiful Storm and the other heroes can handle the situation.
