Jubilee watched Spiderman assist Nightwing. She wanted to go help him but she saw her explosions caused the woman to go flying. She mentally cheered herself on as she crashed into a wall, but then cursed as she flew directly at her. She felt the fist connect with her ribs, cracking a couple of them, and sending her flying.
She was thrown into a building and she grabbed the flag poles and started swinging, she flipped from one to another until she landed back on the roof she had started on, in time to see the woman start to fly in circles. "Damn, why don't you just collapse like a good bad guy?" She was picked up by the whirlwind, and she thought to herself *boy am I glad I don't need to use my hands for my powers.*
She lifted her hands anyway and sent a stream of pafs up the middle of the whirlwind before being thrown, they would explode in a multitude of bright lights, loud noises, and concussive force, she just hoped it was enough to throw the woman off balance for a while. She landed back into the building she was thrown into before, and crashed through a second story window, a shard of glass embedding into her side. Jubes fell out of the window and landed next to Spiderman with a sharp thud.

Pete was only just nursing Dicks wound. When it started to rain. It always rained to. Heck what was this a comic book? he thought as he was starting to try and move Dick into a better position he was hurt really bad. He would probably have to take him to the hospital soon.
When suddenly another person fell next to him, He recognized her as Jubilee. Wincing as he looked around. what the heck was he a doctor. He walked over to the girl she had been impaled by a little piece of glass. He looked over to her and Tried to smile "Ok Nothing suss here lady, but were gonna get a tiny bit intimate here" He said as he tore off a piece of her clothes around her ribs. Some of them were broken. He repeated the same process as dick and went to drag her next to him. Looking up to the sky, he wondered if he should be battling or staying. He really just wasn't sure

As Trenton created the large wave of wind, Shockwave felt herself rise with it, spinning her around and sending her plummeting downwards. The world seemed to rush by her in a gigantic blur which didn't help the fact that the young hero's sight was slightly inpared. Wincing, Gwen prepared herself for the impact as her body smacked right onto the ground, leaving her mouth agape in many spikes of pain.
"He's already dead."
Her adrenaline rushed and Gwen quickly jumped to her feet, despite the fact that something felt loose in her body. She probably broke a bone, somewhere. Her dazed vision darted to Nightwing who lay motionless on the floor. She felt her stomach drop when she saw him-- Dead? She gritted her teeth and turned back to Trenton and planned to throw a few weak punches until Dick spoke. It was quiet, but it was a sign of life. Relief rushed over Gwen's lightly injured frame like an ocean wave, but that didn't distract her much.
Gwen pushed her arms outward, preparing to launch another attack, but suddenly she collapsed to her knees, where her hands tightly gripped her thighs. "Why did you do this?" Her voice asked weakly while her arms shook below her. "Does it make you happy to see yourself screw up the one you love?!" Attempting to stand, Gwen found herself slightly wobbling, but her balance came to. Golden eyes pierced Trenton's appearance. Gwen would wait for an answer. She wanted one. Someone who had so much simply threw it all away. What is the possibly justification for such a move?
With another squint and a small, exasperated moan, her eyes slowly change back to the dull grey they always had been. She shook her head and admitted to herself and only herself. Trenton had won. Gwen limped over to Jubilee, Spider-Man and Nightwing. "We need to get out of here." She whispered weakly to the man in red. She placed a hand on his right shoulder as she attempted to steady herself. "I can help carry someone if you need me to." Her dull grey eyes turned to the two who were massively bleeding. Not good. Wiping her nose of the blood that ran down it, Gwen winced when she saw Nightwing resist the pain and try to speak. Things didn't go the way as planned. Turning over her shoulder, she saw Sophia Trenton, and a flash of remembrance flew through her mind, seeing her with a cigarette and helping Gwen up when she had fallen. With a hurt expression, the young woman turned back to the two badly hurt comrades. Was it worth it?

Sophia was sent flying across the skyline herself, as well as being shocked quite violently by an array of powerful sparks. As she thudded into the ground and slid across the pavement she could feel both the material in her costume and the flesh from her sides being ripped raw. She stayed on the ground for several moments, cursing to herself as she stared at the dragging marks her bloody wounds had made. As she picked her harmed body from the floor, large droplets of rain began to splash against her skin. She stood up in a very wobbly and weak fashion. She clutched her crushed ribs as she made her way over to the group.
"Love him?!", Trenton exclaimed loudly. "LOVE?!", she scoffed loudly as she picked up momentum. "I never loved Dick Grayson!"
Trenton began running weakly to the redhead and didn't stop until she was directly in front of her. She wrapped her hand around the womans throat and prepared to pack a powerful punch as the rain streamed down her sopping wet hair. "How does it feel kid? The only reason you are any one is because of me. Without me you would still be an angry little girl at a parade", she shook her head and looked down at Dick. "You think your old teach there would even have given you a second glance if I hadn't sent you?"
Trenton took a step back and lowered her hand. She released her choke on the small young woman and stared down at Nightwing. He might just die. She may have just killed him. She could feel old emotions brimming to the surface, and she glared at Gwen. "Still admire me? Still want to live this kind of life?"

The rain was pouring, and oh, was it fitting. Shockwave felt the droplets slide down her skin as she hovered over Nightwing while Spider Man helped Jubilee with the several broken bones she had. Staring down at the man, she saw an extremely pained face, that obviously wasn't just from the insane attacks that Trenton had blown. As Gwen crouched down to check for other serious wounds on her friends, she heard an extremely angry voice from behind her. Gwen immediately shot her head around to look at Trenton as she spoke, leaving her damp, dark crimson hair to lightly bump the other side of her face. Wide grey eyes stared into Trenton's vivid green ones, questioning her motives. Gwen opened her mouth to speak; "You never loved him? ...Really?"
But the only thing that came out was a small, choked whimper as Trenton's hand grabbed her thin neck. As if on reflex, Shockwave pulled up her arms weakly and lightly grabbed Trenton's wrists, though they wouldn't budge. Sophia continued to holler at her, and Gwen listened intently, like she always did. This time, though, her throat gulped loudly, and she felt Trenton's wet skin against her neck, threatening to go tighter at any moment. It was hard to breathe, but it was still possible. She began taking deep breaths, sending her chest heaving upwards in worry as the woman released her hold. Gwen's hand gently touched her neck as she swallowed again. "He wouldn't have given me a second glance." She admitted as she pulled herself up to slightly taller than her height. Which is why you're such a good person!" Her voice quivered, but she continued. "I don't understand why you've done all this!" This time, the speaker wasn't quieted by the hum of the rain.
Raising a brow beneath her soaked face, Gwen questioned herself at Trenton's asking. Did she admire her? Of course she did. Though not as much, of course. "People don't completely change!" It was true; Trenton couldn't have helped Gwen out of spite or hatred, among several other things. It was true about what the petite woman had said-- Gwen would still be the angry woman, cursing at the super haters at the hero's parade had she not knocked some ideas into her head. But in no way had Trenton alluded to the fact that she hated them and wanted to hurt everyone. Though the young hero was almost sure that her approach would be immediately rejected, Gwen still held her arm out, attempting to place her small hand on the woman's shoulder. Another thought crossed her mind, and she pulled back her hand. Now was not the time to be hugging and making up-- now was the time for answers to be resolved. "You helped me for a reason, and you cannot tell me that you knew all along that you would be planning on hurting your, She licked her lips and swallowed, thinking of the right word. "Your friends." With a sigh, she shook her head and gazed back up to Trenton with her eyebrows inclined. "Is this really you?" She asked with a solid voice, staring at her straight in the eye, burrowing her gaze into her mind. It wasn't like Gwen to take the nice, talking route in these situations, but Trenton was fuming, and Gwen wasn't strong enough to fight her. Hopefully Sophia would have some space in her heart to think clearly-- then Gwen and Spider-Man could get everyone to the hospital. Gwen felt a surge of pain zap through her abdomen, and her hand lightly came to her stomach where she listened for Trenton's voice.

Trenton continued to stare down blankly at Nightwing, as his blood swept down the flooding streets and sidewalks. It wasn't long before a trail of red had reached her shoes. She listened as the young woman before her pleaded, being so desperate to understand her. But there really was no understanding in it all. There was no real motive behind her choices, she had simply gone over the edge. She felt the hand on her, and for the first time in a long time it wasn't someone trying to hurt her.
"This isn't really me", she said in a low tone. She admitted it. "I never wanted to kill or hurt...especially not my only friend", she made a sweeping movement to Dick. "But that seems to be all I'm good at."
She could feel the pangs of regret sweep over her and she turned to look away from the bleeding heroes. "I hated Dick Grayson", she said with eyes closed. "He infuriates me. Cause I know that even with powers..I could never be that good." She hadn't destroyed him out of envy, but it certainly was a motivator.
"Because the problem with Dick is...he would have given you a second glance. That's the problem with them all. Too trusting, too naive. They think they can rid the world of the sick and twisted through the legal system alone. The legal system is shit. And so is the hierarchy of heroes. Think long and hard before you get involved, kid, because they will tear you up and spit you out."
She took a step back and looked up at the rain that was pouring down. "Just...", she faltered a little. "Just don't let them die", she said with a shrug before rocketing into the sky.
