Dick stared down his nose and through his dark mask at the man who he held pressed against the wall.
"You killed him", Nightwing said as he grabbed the mans face and forced him to look at the father who lay on the ground. "You killed that little girls father."
Dick felt a rage course through his veins that he was not certain he could control. He closed his eyes and looked to the side briefly, shoving his fist into the mans windpipe. he recalled his own parents horrific murder. He had been a witness to that. This kind of thing set him off. He was a loose cannon when it came to murder, and when children were involved.
"You ruined her life", he said snapping back to the trembling man. Nightwing slammed his fist hard againt the glass window pane and watched through slitted azure eyes as the panel shattered and lext a gaping hole. He kicked again, making the hole larger.
"Why shouldn't I do to you, what you did to him?" The man didn't answer, only pleaded incoherently as he scrambled to grip Nightwings arm.
Dick tilted forward slightly, tipping the man out of the broken window, and teetering him over the tall ledge. "Answer me", he said calmly.

Shockwave's eyes widened as Nightwing pressed himself closer to the man. She's heard angry words like that before; she was sure everyone had. And those were angry. Gwen knew what angry people did-- and right then, Nightwing lightly pushed the man closer to the window. Her ashen gaze absorbed a new side of Nightwing, and it was slightly frightening.
Everyone there, even Nightwing himself knew that killing another wouldn't confiscate for a death. No matter how it happens, it's still wrong. Every hero knew that. Every hero. Something must have clicked in his mind, because simply his aura had changed to someone who would not hesitate to end a life. Or maybe she was wrong, and this was just an interrogation technique. Either way, Shockwave felt threatened.
As Nightwing began to punch the glass from the window, she felt her feet taking her closer to interrupt. "Hey, hey, whoa hey!" Gwen called to hopefully get Nightwings attention. Still, he continued on. Gwen cursed herself. What a time for my interrupting abilities NOT to work... At first, Gwen looked to the others as if to ask for permission to stop him, but she didn't wait. Lightly placing her right hand on his right shoulder, Shockwave squeezed it to bring him out of the little spell he was under. "I know I shouldn't talk, but you need to back off, okay?" After she spoke, Gwen immediately wished she hadn't. She must have invaded his personal space by touching him-- and he's angry-- he's going to kill you, now! After a moment of silence and Nightwing still held the man, Gwen smiled, hoping he saw it. "I think scaring him to death is a good start for punishment." Gwen gulped. Come back to us, Nightwing, you're freaking me out.

Nightwing cursed under his breath as the man made his pathetic pleas. He only pushed further, his heart feeling stony and his arms leaden. He had no real control over what he was doing to this stupid man.
Dick Grayson was not a killer. He never wanted to end a life. It was his job to look out for his fellow man, not to decide what kind of fate they would meet. But right now, being hurled out of a window seemed like a pretty fitting farewell for a drug dealing murderer.
As Nightwing took a deep breath however, he felt a hand gently squeeze his shoulder. His body became less tense and he closed his eyes and shook his head. He was dissapointed and ashamed of himself for letting one of his new team members see their leader in such a rage. He pulled the man back in and, pressing his deft fingers again the mans neck, he had the criminal pass out.
Stepping over his unconcious body, Nightwing headed her the doorway--where he leaned into the door frame and crossed his arms.

Serenity watched Nightwing. He seemed to have some nager problems. The girl was snoring now and she placed the girl gently on the floor, her jacket as a pillow. She walked softly over to the now unconcious man.
Serenity touched his forehead quickly. After a fwe seconds, the man was twitching lightly, a pained look on his face, as if in a nightmare. "His name is Doug. Been a drug dealer for a few weeks now. This was their new place to hide the stuff." she explained.
Serenity sighed. "The memories of some are so boring." she muttered.

"First few weeks on the job and he has a massive load." Gwen muttered honestly as she peered into the cardboard box again. The quantity was way too much for a beginner. And she didn't have to deal to know that for sure. Maybe there was a bigger man in the picture, here. Her eyes shifted to Nightwing as he passed her and leaned on the door frame. He likes to do that. She noticed with a raised brow. Turning back to Serenity, Gwen spoke: "Can you see if he worked for anyone?"
Hopefully Serenity had that ability. Nothing came to Gwen Stratford's mind when she attempted to think of anyone who would have hid a decoy and a box full of fresh coke. It's a lot to waste. She turned to look at the sleeping girl. People are so vain, sometimes. She thought as her brows narrowed.
The ashen gaze turned to Raven and then back to the cocaine before her. Suddenly, Gwen shook her head wildly, sending her scarlet locks in a frenzy. "Baaah." She called. The atmosphere was spooky and suffocating, and it seemed like the milieu was getting deeper and deeper into a worse melancholy. Gwen wished she could get everyone a bit more positive, but even she was feeling a bit unsure of herself.

Serenity sighed. "He's working for an unknown source. He's never seen the head boss, only these guys. The memories of people can only go so far." she said. She looked into the box and the far off yet familier smell of cocaine came to her. Not that she had ever done it. Memories just did things to her.
"We have to get this somewhere. I'm not explaining this to the police." Serenity commented.

"Call the police", Dick instructed after he slammed one of his fists against the side of the doorway and walked back into the room.
He sighed as grabbed one of the sheets that wrapped the boxes and laid it over the top of the dead father. It really was tragic.
He then stepped over to where Shockwave and Serenity kneeled and stared down at the white powdery substance. He licked the tip of one of his fingers and gently dipped it in one of the packages. He brought the powder tipped finger to his lips and tasted it briefly.
He looked back down at the package and stayed silent for a few moments. "It is very pure", he commented. "Must have been someone big time, we caught this before they got to cut it..."
He looked down at his swollen and broken hand and sighed as his eyes gazed over to Gwen. "I am sorry you had to see that..."

As Nightwing's fist came in contact to the doorway, Gwen Stratford winced. He really was angry-- she noticed him place a sheet over the father who was murdered. She observed the man carefully when he placed his fingers into the powder. She listened to his words and took them in like syrup through a grainer. Her ashen gaze turned away to the tan-colored sheet and the body under it. Lightly biting her bottom lip, Gwen let in a deep breath through her nose. She wasn't prepared for something so serious. This was the first time the young woman had ever seen a murder that wasn't on television; Shockwave could see now why everyone was so affected in the shows.
Gwen raised a brow to Dick Grayson as he apologized. "No, hey, we all lose our cool at some point." She said to him with a grimace. Inwardly, she winced again. His hand looked bad. It was quite a memory when Gwen broke her right foot-- breaking his hand must have hurt like hell. She contemplated asking him if he was okay, but maybe it wasn't the best idea. After all, the man was Nightwing.
"So, I guess I'll call the police?" Suggested the scarlet haired woman after a brief moment. Dick had ordered that to be done, but no one really moved. Something in Shockwave just wanted to get home and pretend the murder didn't happen. Slipping her hands into her back pockets, Gwen's grey eyes scanned around, awaiting a reply. Oh well. I'll take that as a yes. Removing her hands from her pockets, Gwen searched through the deep front pockets until she found a small cell phone and pulled it out.

Nightwing continued to examine the packages of cocaine for a few moments. "I've seen the same exact product in Bludhaven and Gotham..."
He looked around for a few seconds before grabbing one of the packages with his broken hand and sticking inside the gauntlet of his right boot. His fingers and knuckles throbbed in pain, but he pushed it to the back of his mind. "I'll send some samples to Batman and Question, see what they have to say."
He scanned the room carefully, his rage having dissipated. He looked over to his student and tried his best to force a smile, not wanting to seem an imposing figure. Dick watched as the young woman pulled out a phone. "It's just...my parents were murdered...", he said very softly.
"Here, I'll call", he added quickly and reached for the phone.

When Nightwing said he's seen the same thing in the other places, Gwen's jaw dropped slightly. He couldn't possibly mean the same quantity. At this rate, every mob boss will have cocaine shooting out of their ears. She sighed when she remembered that Serenity couldn't find the boss of the men from the memories. That's what all the sources pointed to; that was always the most challenging person to find. Her lower lip, which she had been keeping under her front teeth in thought, escaped as a puzzled expression veiled her face.
Shockwave couldn't help but frown as Dick picked up the package with his broken hand. Ouch. Seriously. Gwen repeated in her mind as she bent over to grab it for him, but he successfully put it away. With a sigh, the young hero nodded to Dick Grayson when he said he'd send samples. Still, Gwen felt uneasy. Drugs had always made her feel a bit uncomfortable.
As Gwen began to dial 9-1-1 on her small cell phone, she heard her friend. Ashen eyes gazed up at him disbelievingly; a wave of worry flew over him. "What?" Questioned Shockwave, quite loudly, with her mouth slightly agape. Dick must have known Gwen would react in that fashion, as he took the phone out of her hand to possibly change the subject.
Gwen pouted. "Fine." She said, crossing her arms over her chest. So that's why he felt so strongly about the whole situation. Dick could relate to the child that was sleeping soundly on the floor. Turning to Sarah where Serenity stood, she sent the other hero a sympathetic look. It was times like these Gwen was happy she grew up in a small town in Wisconsin than the big, bad city.

Serenity let out a yawn, as if tired. Truthfully, she was exchausted from using her powers. She looked at the little girl. "I think we should take her home. Not leave her here." she muttered. Shadows were already beginning to form a portal.
She watched Nightwing with his broken hand. *Men and their egos.* she thought. She stared back at Shockwave. Finally, she turned her eyes to Nightwing and the dark girl in the cloak. "So, how come all these heroes appeared? Someone give you all a tip or something?" she asked.
Five heroes coming to the same place where a murder and drug deal is, well, it's kinda werid, expectally when it took place in the attic of some building.

Gwen shrugged at Serenity's comment. Heck, Gwen didn't know where she lived. She was probably the most useless one there. No connections. But her heart still went out for the small girl. Not that Shockwave would know, but having her father die could possibly ruin her life. She wasn't sure if Sarah even registered her father's death, yet. She could still be in shock. Gwen's ashen eyes observed Serenity, and she looked a little tired. Such power must suck out energy from someone.
When the shadow-manipulating woman asked about her among the other two heroes, Gwen Stratford raised a brow curiously. "I actually can sense wherever Nightwing is," Gwen sarcastically replied to her as she scratched her head. "And since I'm his stalker, I make sure I'm wherever he is." She bit onto her lips and shrugged her shoulder. Releasing them, she finished with, "I know, it's sad, but it's an OCD thing. Like I have a genetic disorder to stay close to heroic men." A wave of embarrassment flooded over Gwen, making her slightly blush. She didn't mean for it to come out so rudely. Though Gwen had heard the odd knocking from outside the building, it just felt like the best thing to say at the time. Maybe to lighten the mood. After a few moments of a brief silence, she saw the portal Serenity pulled and nodded to herself. She has it taken care of.

Serenity chuckled at Shockwaves words. "It is fun stalking them." she said, only slightly sarcastic. She had to stalk a super once, buy only once. It had been her job as a photographer to get pictures of the guy.
Serenity gently picked the little girl up. "Well, whatever the reason you all were here, hope you settle it." she said. She turned toward the swirling portal of shadows, getting ready to bring the girl home.

((Yay! I'm back!!))
Raven watched the going on's in silence, nodding slightly at Serenity's question.
"Indeed." She answered. "Both Nightwing and I recieved calls, warning us that something was going on here tonight. And that's the only thing that doesn't fit. Who would know about something this big." She gestured at the huge amounts of coke around them. "And call us. And why just us? No cops, just Sarah and her father and that was an accident. Why? It's doesn't fit."
She shook her head and used her powers to close the boxes if cocane, stacking them neatly against a far wall for the cops to collect when they came. The hero herself wasn't actually too keen to remain. Her feet were itching to leave before the cops got here. She wasn't sure how they would react to all the supers, but Raven wanted to get out while she was still home free.
Walking around, just to be doing something, she brushed past Nightwing. As she did, her fingertips whispered by his broken hand. It would still need to heal in it's own time with a splint and vicadin, but it would heal faster and for now at least the pain would be gone.
Quickly, Raven hid her own hand in her cape, waiting for the bruses she had taken from Dick to fade. Then to him as he hung up the phone,
"so you found much of the same in Drugs in gothem and bludhaven. In the same quantities as well I'll expect. We have to assume that it's more than just normal coke. If we can trace who it's gone to so far, we can keep an eye on them, see if they act any differant than normal druggies."

ooc| Yussssssssssssssssss! -cheer-
Narrowing her eyes, Gwen listened carefully to Raven as she made logical sense out of the situation. The new hero found it easier to breathe after Raven spoke. Perhaps it was a regular, old tip as Serenity had suggested. Or maybe it wasn't. Gwen hated the feeling of indecisiveness that came with the whole 'hero' image. It was so easy to ask questions, but it was always a challenge to supply the answers.
As Raven set up the boxes nicely, almost the way the lot had found them, Gwen raised a brow and let out a clueless sigh. Shrugging animatedly, she smiled crookedly and said, "Either way, we have a bunch of cocaine here." Gwen announced. "I am almost sure of it-- It couldn't be the real thing." She began, her voice as solid as stone. "If it happened to be directly from a shipping site, then we would all probably be dead now." Shockwave made a gun with her hands, putting it to her head and made it go off to emphasize her words.
"It has to be what you were saying, Rae." Gwen winced inwardly at the nickname, hoping she didn't offend. "It has to be for something else... Someone else. Like maybe supers?" Gwen Stratford lightly played at the idea as she announced it. That idea was ridiculous. Why would a drug be created specifically for super heroes? Wouldn't that throw the whole trade off? Gwen narrowed her brow in thought, wishing she had done thinking before announcing her ideas to her peers. "Err, Nevermind." The young woman murmured self-consciously.
