When Emma spoke, Kitty frowned. She hated when people used her full first name. It made her feel old and regal. Kitty rolled her eyes and crossed her arms as the woman continued with her reasoning behind the Catwoman's actions. Obviously enough, just from this simple encounter, Shadowcat did not like Catwoman, to say the least. Why? It must be because she's stealing something, and no one was doing anything about it!
Kitty took a step towards Catwoman and eyed up the bag she had with her, full of little goodies she had helped herself to. She clenched her fists and was about to attack when Emma spoke once again.
"I didn't realize it took so much work to have Charles' and Jean's body shipped back here."
Kitty Pryde's shimmering hazel eyes immediately dulled as they widened massively. It was almost as if the thoughts in her mind were running off an unprepared railroad track, crashing into the sensitive emotions below. She blinked a few times as she waited for Emma's comment to make sense in her mind. "Bodies?"

Realizing Scott never told Kitty what had happened she let out an annoyed, angry sigh "They were killed by superhuman assassins, who where sent their to kill all the telepaths and anyone who got in the way. They killed most of us and those who didn't die had spent time in the hospital recovering from the attack." Emma said as she placed her hands on her hips.

While everyone was talking Isis jumped off Catwomans shoulders grabbed the beg on the ground and raced a cross the room and out the front door with the beg in her mouth with Catwoman hot on her heels. "It's been fun." She said as she ran past Juggernaut and Colossus.

Every thought ravaged through Kitty's mind like a fast-motion, lighting-quick car chase in an action movie. Professor Xavier...? He's gone? Kitty felt herself plunging into a downward spiral. She fell to her knees and stared with wide, hazel eyes on the floor. Her hands flexed on the smooth, wooden flooring below, almost as if she were trying to sift through sand. Opening her mouth to speak, Kitty looked up to the others with hurt, welling eyes, but nothing left her throat.
At this moment, Catwoman immediately took this excellent opportunity to escape, which sent Kitty's brows down in an enraged furrow. She wanted to yell at the woman, pounce on her, and bunch the life out of her face. Kitty almost imagined the whole scene, until it seemed to rip off the projection reel and leave nothing but a blank screen. The angry emotion dispersed from the Shadowcat's expression.
Immediately, the young woman pulled herself up on her feet. After a sigh, Kitty turned to the entering Juggernaut and Colossus. Though her gaze constantly switched between the two of them, she remarked, "Why didn't you tell me?" She felt a long array of questions begin to form. When? How? By whom? Tears began to well in her eyes while they searched for a desperate answer.

Oh man..
As Kitty spoke and Cain felt the sadness about to pour out of her, it touched him in a way he had not felt in years. She was a good girl and he hated to see her like this. Dammit, I shouldn't be the one explaining this crap.He thought as they walked in. Casually he nudged Colossus, hoping the man would get the hint.
He stood there waiting for Pete to talk to Kitty. His eyes fell upon Emma Frost. Now there was a bright spot in the day. Making a quick decision, he strolled up to her.
"Hey Emma. How ya been?"

Piotr felt his heart clench painfully in his chest at the sight of tears forming in Kitty’s eyes. The man could handle a building collapsing on top of him and walk out without a scratch, but at that moment he felt close to falling to his knees. He hated knowing that she was feeling so hurt by the news, as he knew that there was nothing else that could make her look so stricken in just a few minutes absence.
Briefly, he felt Cain nudge him, and knew what the man expected him to do. He expected Piotr to say something to Kitty to make her feel better, to dry the tears that threatened to streak down her porcelain face. Those few steps that it took to cross the distance between himself and Kitty seemed to take minutes instead of seconds. Yet, as he stopped in front of her, his tongue seemed to swell in his mouth and he did not know what to say.
Gently, he rested his huge hand on her small shoulder and gave it a small, affectionate squeeze. Staring down into her blazing eyes, he slowly let out the breath that he didn’t know he’d been holding in. “Katya, I am sorry,” he whispered as he retracted his hand, letting it fall limply at his side. “We just learned moments before you arrived. I thought it best that you heard from Scott.” In all honesty, he’d hoped to avoid seeing her so grief-stricken, as he somehow knew that it would affect him so poorly.
Fighting the urge to pull her into his arms and shield her from the rest of the world, Piotr drew in a long breath and felt his chest expand. It did little to ease the weight sitting there, lodged against his heart, but it helped him fight back the sadness that had settled somewhere inside of him. “I should have told you,” he admitted softly. “I should have been the one to tell you.” But, he didn’t understand why he felt he should be the one carrying that burden; the one that caused the smile to fall from her face and tears to wet her cheeks.
Unable to find any words to convey his understanding of her feelings, he merely stood there, a tall man quiet in his own grieving.

Once Kitty realized she had broken down in front of her comrades, the girl blinked out the lingering tears. She turned to Piotr and saw a pain reflected over his eyes while he explained himself. The man had reached out to her in order to comfort Katherine, and she smiled weakly at him. "It's alright, Peter." She paused for a moment as her exasperated lungs regained a new air. "Thank you." Though Shadowcat's sudden grief did not subside entirely, she felt somewhat revitalized from Colossus' attempt to suck the poison from the wound. Hazel eyes brightened as she locked a gaze with Peter, before a voice sounded:
"Hey Emma, how ya been?"
Kitty Pryde looked over the the woman who had so bluntly admitted the deaths of two of the greatest heroes alive. She glared at the White Queen over her shoulder. "That reminds me," Began Kitty as she crossed her arms over her chest. "I guess it just sucked having to hear the news from that chick." She pointed her thumb over to Emma Frost nonchalantly, rolling her eyes. At this moment, she turned around and stared the blue-eyed beauty straight on and made a distasteful expression. "Why, of all times, did you now decide to come back here?" She groaned annoyingly, shifting her gaze to the ceiling.

Relieved that Kitty seemed to be able to compartmentalize her sorrow, at least at the moment, Piotr heaved a sigh of relief. But, he was not convinced that she was going to be okay until she finally commented on Emma’s sudden appearance. A smile turning the corners of his lips up slightly, Piotr found himself glancing over in the direction of one Emma Frost, whom, it appeared, was being approached by Cain.
Surely not? Piotr thought to himself with a slightly bemused expression upon his face. After all, he had worked closely with Cain during the war, and had witnessed exactly how the man had approached other women. But, he could not tell if Cain was attempting to come on to Emma, or if he was simply being friendly. Deciding that he was not sure that he wanted to know, Piotr let out a chuckle and nodded his head in Kitty’s direction.
“That is a good question, Katya. I, too, find it strange that she would return here, but the war has changed a lot of people.” Granted, he hoped that Kitty had been spared from the sorts of things that he had witnessed. “But, it is not so surprising to see her here. After all, Cain of all people is here. Before the war...” he trailed off, remembering a number of encounters that the X-Men had with the Juggernaut before he had successfully switched sides. That, Piotr thought, was a blessing in disguise. When Cain had joined the X-Men, it had gained them all a new ally, and a new friend.
“I imagine that she plans to stay, da.”

"I'm fine Cain and you?" Emma replied to Cain then turned back to look at Kitty and Piotr with a raised brow where they kidding? "Is this some kind of joke? I've been living here since Genosha was destroyed." she said looking at them like they just lost there marbles. "You may want to cut down on your panting Piotr the fums must be effecting your memory." She suggested.

"I'm, uh, doing ok." Cain said somewhat shyly. He absentmindedly scratched the top of his helmed head then realized what the hell he was doing. Very rarely did he get nervous around women. Hell, he never really had much use for them. But for some reason when he got around Emma he felt really, really odd.
"Uh, glad to see you made it through all the ruckus ok." He looked around at Colossus and Shadowcat quickly, then back to Emma. "Pete said he missed ya or something...I forget." He swung his arms in a swishing motion. "Anyways, we got things to do. I know you know about our losses and its time to settle things. We were just thinking if this should be a public or private memorial. I'm for public."

Kitty Pryde pursed her lips before replying to Piotr with a "...Yeah, yeah, yeah." She grinned up at him, also thinking of the many times she'd had with Cain where they both were not the most friendly to one another. "I know." The young woman crossed her arms; yet, it was a somewhat content gesture in this case. Though Emma 'plans to stay', it didn't mean that this Shadowcat had to be happy with it. Still, she simply watched as Cain and Emma conversed, leaving Kitty to wonder what made men fall to their knees for the woman.
Kitty raised an eyebrow at Peter when the Juggernaut said the statement about him missing Emma, but her attention was pulled from that suspicion when Cain also brought up his idea of a memorial. Katherine found herself nodding to the man, though he was directly speaking to Emma.
"It has to be private!" Kitty announced to the group of three. "Hey, you know what's going to happen if bad guys take advantage of a time we are mourning!" She remarked as her hazel eyes stared intently at Colossus, then to the Juggernaut, and finally the White Queen. Before anyone had a chance to interrupt, Kitty quickly added, "Things will get bad, fast."

Dark black brows lifted in horror at the words that left Cain's mouth. I've missed Emma? he thought to himself as he glanced across the room at the woman in question. Piotr could not begin to fathom why his friend would tell such outlandish lies, but suspected that Cain had attempted to conceal his own interests. Heaving a sigh, Piotr shook his head and glanced Cain's way as the man mentioned something about a memorial for the fallen heroes.
As he mulled the prospect over in his mind, Kitty quickly voiced her opinion in regards to the possible memorial. While on one hand he agreed with her, on the other he did not. "But Katya, the people of the world know not how to react to those heroes that served in the war. While some I know hate them, others love them." Even then he could not understand why he had not included himself. "Those that were lost played important parts in ending the war that plagued our world, and they deserve a proper memorial wherein all gathered could show their last respects."
Pausing, he thought seriously of a proper location for a grand public memorial, but could think of none. "An actual memorial should be considered," he murmured, half to himself. "This war has effected a number of generations and should never be forgotten. If the previous World War began with the day which would live on in Infamy then I believe this war was no different. Professor Xavier is one of the most respected men in the mutant community, Katya. It would be selfish of us to keep his memorial a private affair."
Feeling as though he had said too much, Piotr clamped his mouth shut and felt a tic working in his jaw as he fought the urge to continue.

With an earnestly interested gaze, Kitty watched Piotr explain his thoughts on the memorial service that would be held. In most cases, Kitty would be too stubborn to admit someone had a good, yet opposing point; however, Peter was a different story. What he explained was the blatant truth, and though many despise the mutants and heroes, it could also allow the chance for others' eyes to be opened-- to see what really occurred and those truly affected. Kitty bit her tongue, nodding to the tall man like a child.
Shadowcat glanced at Cain to see how he felt about Peter's point, until she drew her gaze back to Colossus. Her lips turned upwards into a smile to show her support. "Well, I think," Kitty announced after Piotr had finished. "...That public is the way to go!" Though there were many thoughts breaking through her mind, specifically those of threats, about this whole shindig, she still stood by her newly found opinion. For a moment, the young woman inwardly closed her eyes, trying not to imagine how people may get hurt in their most vulnerable state of mind.
But Peter's right. Kitty reminded herself in a sincere attempt to push her forward. We can't just single this memorial out to only those that knew the casualties personally. That would shut out all those who want to know the truth... She exchanged a glance with the others in the room, eager to hear others' reasoning for a better understanding of the situation.

Emma raised a brow when she heard Cain say that Piotr had missed her witch she found hard to believe. She didn't have to read his mind to know he didn't say such a thing "I think it would be a good idea to have the memorial public for all the reasons Piotr said and I doubt anyone would attack there after words....that's another story." She said.

"Yes, afterwords is the time we must worry about a possible attack," Piotr readily agreed with the White Queen as he glanced toward Cain. He was still slightly uncomfortable with the way his friend had used him as a way to draw suspicion away from himself. But, he chose not to comment as he lifted a hand to rub it over his dark hair. "Perhaps somewhere in New York City would be best?" he questioned, hoping that someone had some sort of input that they could offer.
After all, he could think of very few places in the entire world that were as nationally recognized as NYC. After all, it was there that their country's national monument resides; there that the world looked to in times of crises.
"Scott, what do you think?" he glanced over at the silent man, hoping for a reply.
