Ghostboy both loved and hated living on the streets, being a street urchin as some of the not-so-nice people said. It allowed great freedom in exchange for not very good living conditions, but the freedom was what mattered to the teenager. Ghostboy was passing through a town called "Ivy Town" in which, as far as he could tell, there were rich college kids and most of them were spoiled beyond measure. In order to conserve energy, Ghostboy's skin was it's original whiteish bluish skin, and his eyes were glowing magenta. He was wearing his old winter coat with white fake fur lining because of his skin's unnaturally cold temperature from his purple energy blood. This coat went ontop of his shabby pants, shoes, and shirt that were over his superhero suit. He stepped off of the main street into one of the many alleyways that lead into the not so nice part of the college town. Ghostboy saw many ghosts, most of them older kids who had died in accidents, or in murders. He kept his head down and pretended not to notice them, although they did notice him because of the connection with the dead that he had. "Go away..." Ghostboy murmured under his breath as the ghosts got slightly closer, their interest piqued. As soon as Ghostboy switched on his energy draining, however, the ghosts fled, and he was left in relative peace. Hey! Bobby look at this!
Ghostboy turned his head and saw a very well built chest, and another one next to it. He cursed his height under his breath and looked up, seeing two jocks with the most idiotic grins that he'd ever seen. Ghostboy wasn't in the mood, he really wasn't in the mood for dealing with idiots, especially jock idiots. "Go away..." he said in the same tone as what he had done with the ghosts, but the college kids ignored that. Where are you goin'? This is our territory. "I don't care," Ghostboy said, giving a tired smile. He just wanted to find some shelter and sleep, that's all that the young man wanted. Unfortunately, the idiots didn't get the memo exactly right. One of them tried to punch the superhero, which was a big mistake. "Oh good, you tried to punch me...meaning I can do this!" Ghostboy said with a smirk, blasting the two college kids back with energy blasts from his hands. He didn't want to kill, so he mentally set his blasts to "Stun", not even enough to freeze the sweat on their clothing. He turned around and continued onward, turning right and going into another alleyway and hearing the two idiots cursing. "As you Americans say, Neener, Neener Neener," Ghostboy chuckled under his breath, starting to walk straight through a wall.

Tesser was sitting in the wall. Well, not exactly in the cement, really. It was one of those really old ones that had been hollowed out by generations of street rats and real rats, and more than a few gang fights. Tesser had found it uninhabited and was just settling in her little den when somebody walked in through the closed up part.
She shook her head at him, like a mother punishing a child. Cliking her tongue, she said,
"Tsk tsk, you ought to know better than to walk in on a lady like this. I might have been changing into my evening gown, or doing my toilette." She grinned at the man, several years her senior, and she settled in her little corner again.
"However, as my uninvited guest can see, I was already done with all that." she gestured to her big old ratty dumpster clothing and a face streaked with dirt and grime. A smirk found it's way onto her face and she said,
"Care to make yourself at home?" The den was small, but Tesser was a tiny girl, even for six, and made barely a dent in the cavern.

Tsk tsk, you ought to know better than to walk in on a lady like this. I might have been changing into my evening gown, or doing my toilette Ghostboy couldn't help but let out a small laugh at those words, giving a small smile. "Sorry about that, didn't expect anyone to be living in this wall," he said, turning tangible as he went into the hollow part of the wall, looking at the little girl who had said them. Ghostboy gave a small laugh as he sat down in the opposite corner of the hollow area saying, "Glad to see that, and thanks- most of the hiding places have already been taken by rich boy gangs." He looked at the girl's clothing when she motioned to her dirty clothes, and noticed his own, which were as or more dirtier than hers. Ghostboy didn't like seeing little kids on the street, but had grown accustomed to seeing them. They were mostly runaways or orphans, but he had seen entire families living on the streets of the places that he had gone too. He found it odd that she was wearing a blindfold and could still see him, but he had seen a half-octopus man before and he, himself was mostly ghost so he didn't say anything. Taking off his coat, Ghostboy revealed more of his white bluish skin, white hair, and magenta glowing eyes then had previously been seeable. He hoped that she wouldn't scream when she saw him like some other people did. Ghostboy added in with a carefree smile, "Oh yea, my name's Ryan by the way if your interested." He was curious as to what the little girl's name was, but decided that she'd probably tell him when she felt comfortable enough.

"An' I'm Tesser." She answered Ryan. "Pleasure to make your aquaintence." She laughed softly, but couldn't help but stare at him. She had seen strange things, but never quite like this. Finally she made out,
"You" pause "have the prettiest eyes I have ever seen."
Grinning she leaned back, saying, "Anyway, I don't really live here so much as hide." She peaked out of the little gap that searved for a door, then slunk back.
"Cops are after me again. How they could blame such a sweet, innocent little girl for stealing a wallot I just don't know."
the grimicing she produced the wallot in question. "It wasn't even a pretty one."

Ted Kord had found himself in Ivy Town yet again. He had hoped to meet up with Mr. Palmer, and was quite annoyed to find that Atom was nowhere to be found. Ted had always liked Ray Palmer, he was smart and a generally friendly person and a great teammate. He had often found the man to be a good source of information, especially when it came to nano-technology.
But there was no Ray Palmer. Just the college he had both attended and worked at. It had always been a good college, and had dealt with a good number of paranormal happenings. Lately the quality and quantity of the students had begun to wane. He meandered around the college campus for a few moments earlier that day, but had grown tired of the sleepy surroundings.
Later that day, as the sun had just begin to lower, Ted garbed himself in his Blue Beetle costume. Ivy Town was generally pretty safe, but you never know. He may as well try and get something done. It was no surprise when the biggest problems he encountered that day were a stolen wallet and a case of bullying. He watched as the tiny girl crept into a decaying wall.
Moments later he waltzed over calmly and kneeled down, finding a small crumbling hole in the wall. He knocked and peeked inside. The tiny wallet thief was there...as was someone else.
"Trade you?", Ted questioned holding up his own wallet.

"Nice to meet you, Tesser," Ryan smiled, sort of unnerved by her staring. He never did like being stared at, by ghost or by humans. However, the feeling went away once she said that he had pretty eyes. No one had said that before to the mostly ghost boy, not even his own parents had said that. "Erm, Thanks?" Ryan said, putting a smile on his face. He gave a small laugh, saying, "So you stole a wallet? If it isn't pretty to you maybe you should at least give it back?" Ryan didn't agree with stealing anything, being a superhero and all. However, he wouldn't punish the child, she was just trying to survive like he was. How could Ryan punish a child for surviving? Trade you? He suddenly heard those words and looked over to where a guy in some sort of weird suit was looking at the two of them. Ryan's power activated accidentally, his hands glowing purplish magenta...like his eye color. He calmed down once the initial one second shock had happened, his power going down to where there was just a small hint of energy on his hands. Ryan didn't say anything, just watched what was going on with interested shining in his weird purplish magenta eyes.

Tesser grinned at Ryan, he seemed nice enough, and the red head certainly wasn't one to prosecute another for being different.
"Well," she said in defense, "It's not like I took anything from inside of it. I just took the wallot."
However, she shrieked when yellow goggles appered at her front door offering... a trade? She took the blue man's wallot and compared the two, finally nodding her agreement.
"Done." putting the man's money and cards into his new wallot she pocketed her new spoil.
"You see." She said to Ryan with a mischivous grin. "This is what I love about those hero types. So much more... understanding?"
She turned her grin into a worried smile and looked at Ted.
"You're not going to rat on me are you?"
((Yes, yes. I know I spell wallot wrong. fyi, I do it on purpose."

Blue Beetle peered back and forth at the strange pair of children. They both looked a little worn out, and his heart went out to them. Things had been rough for everyone lately, especially street kids.
Ted smiled as the tiny girl mulled over his offer and finally handed him the new wallet, ugly though it may be, the owner would still want it back. He pushed it into his belt compartment and looked over at Tesser.
"Of course I won't rat you out...", he said a bit surprised that she would ask that. He leaned back a little and then up at the cracked wall.
"Come out of there kids, it's dangerous...", he voiced his concern over the crumbling wall. "I'll get you a bite to eat.."

Tesser eyed the wall around her theatrically before turning to Ryan saying,
"Waddaya think? Is he luring us out with promises of food only to bundle us off to the nearest coppers? It has been done before. However," She looked down mournfully at her torso which rumbled momentarily. "according to my stomach, I also haven't eaten before."
she grinned at the pale boy with magenta eyes, then hopped out of the hole, landing neatly on the ripped up cement. Extending a hand to Ghostboy she joked with him,
"I'll only feel safe with an escourt." Winking at Blue Beetle she couldn't help but like him. Blue was her favorite color, after all.

Ghostboy saw the exchange of wallets and listened to what the man offered them if they would get out of the wall. He was going to stick in the wall originally because he didn't trust the man. Ghostboy decided that Tesser and himself both needed food when his stomach started to ache. He responded with a small laugh and a smile, "The reward is greater than the risk to me."
Ryan didn't pay as much attention on making himself sound American this time, and so his voice switched back to his original German accent. When Tesser got out of the wall and offered him her hand, he turned transperant and floated through the wall- like a ghost would. He turned solid and put even more focus into looking human.
Ryan managed to solidify himself and his legs, going out of Ghost form into human form as he held Tesser's hand. "N'kay, I'll be your escort. So, let's get something to eat!" he said outloud in a cheerful accent. Ryan still didn't trust the blue man completely, but didn't remember any Organization members like him so he assumed he was safe for now.

Tesser laughed softly to herself, taking a strange comfort from Ryans suddenly solid hand in her own. Pretending to curtsy to him she skipped to the mouth of the ally and down the sidewalk. Turning back, she peeped at the two men moving slowly,
"C'mon!" she called, "I'm starving!"
((sorry, really short post, I know, D' Arvit, where's Tedders when you need him?))

(OOC: Sorry guys, been busy. Back now!)
Ted smiled warmly as the two young people stepped out of the wall. He had always really liked kids. The truth was Ted was a kid himself. Yes, a superhero. Yes, a Justice League member. Yes, a multi-billionaire. But he was a kid at heart.
"No risk at all", he said as he looked over at the boy. "Justice League honor", he said and held up his hand in an oath position.
He winked down at Tesser and began to escourt the two kids out of the alleyway. He made a steady pace to a nearby tiny cafe that he knew well. He slid into a booth seat and waved his hand to offer the two kids the seat across from him. In a few minutes a waitress stopped by and offered menus. She smiled down at Ted and put her hand on her hip. "The usual, Blue? An extra greasy batch of fries and a fatty burger?"
Ted laughed a little under his breath and nodded as he looked up at her. "Don't skimp on the grease", he pretended to scold. He handed the menu back and looked at the other two. "And my friends here will have....?"

"A milkshake and a plate of french fries." Tesser said confidently as she slid into the booth, sitting comfortable betwean the two men. Leaning on the table she started to color with the crayons on all the napkins on the table.
One picture was a man in all blue and big yellow goggles. Another was a pale boy with magenta eyes and hands. then there was a man that appered to be all on fire, and a woman with a magic wand. After that came a pale man with a very very wide smile and sharp teeth. A woman with green skin and red hair, covered in flowers.
All the pictures were barely recognisable, yet at the same time rather good likenesses. Tesser was just in the middle of a big bat when the food arrived.
"Are you both in the JLA?" She asked innocently as soon as her mouth wasn't full of french fries.

Ryan watched as the man lifted his hand in an oath position and told him that there was no risk. He was starting to trust this guy, but kept his mind on what he'd do if he had to run again. Ryan put on a happy face though and allowed himself to be lead out of the alleyway by the man and Tesser. He was in the mood for something to eat, and that enough made him happy.
In the cafe, Ryan sat next to Tesser, looking around the cafe while the two ordered. He noticed there were several ghosts in the cafe, but they seemed to not be evil spirits so he didn't disturb them. To normal people, it would probably seem that Ryan was just curious about the place. He looked at the waitress after Tesser and the Blue man had ordered, saying with a childish grin, "Burger, Fries, n' a chocolate milkshake, please."
Ryan, after he'd ordered, looked over at what Tesser was drawing with a curious eye. He recognized one of the pictures as looking very similar to himself, and another one as the guy that was sitting across from them. "Good pictures," Ryan said with a smile on his face. She had more artistic talent than he did by far since he couldn't even draw a stick figure.
When the food arrived, Ryan immediately went for the chocolate milkshake, drinking it slowly and savoring the taste. He'd always loved chocolate, especially chocolate shakes, but he rarely got to have them so this was a treat. "Hmn? Me?" Ryan asked to Tesser's unusual question, pointing at himself. "Nope!" he added just moments after he asked if it was he that Tesser was talking about when she said "both".

((So any idea's of what to do now?))
The little redhead finished her pictures and pulled over her own shake, blowing bubbles in it through her straw, carefully making them just small enough to stay inside the cup, but big enough to worry the people at the next table.
Turning to Ghostboy curiously, Tesser asked, "But you are a hero aren't you?"
