Late Afternoon Lunch. (Open)

[Iceman]

Bobby stood in the middle of the nondescript metallic room. Rogue walked up beside him. Once they were both set up for the hologram to begin, they still had a little while to wait. He looked up to where the screen displayed the countdown. “0:59” flashed on the screen.

“Yah ready?” Rogue asked him. "You kiddin'? I was born ready." He winked and smiled at her. Iceman looked back at the board. “0:10” appeared on the board and continued to count down. He adjusted his gloves quickly to make sure that they were fitting as comfortably as possible. Suddenly, they were outdoors. Trees everywhere. It looked like they were in a huge forest. Everything was in place, except for one thing, the sentinels.

hen the session started Bobby brought his hands up ready to start fighting. After a little bit he lowered his hands. "This is a training session and not a nature walk, right?" Bobby asked lightly as he looked around. He took a few steps around the place when he heard Rogue,

“I hate the surprise attacks…”

Bobby immediately went on a defensive stance. He focused more and looked around. There was nothing but tree's in sight. It's a bit to quiet. Bobby thought.

[Rogue]

It all seemed in an instant. The Sentinals came out to play, the Sentinals were the MK II. Rogue rolled her eyes at this; it had to be the more advanced Sentinals, more advanced and harder to destroy. Of course like mentioned before, Rogue did not like the surprise attacks which in a way figured for the type of model they were going to fight. For how quickly they came out the earth beneath Rogue and Bobby’s feet trembled, like a massive earthquake. Rogue was knocked down by it. Without hesitation she quickly got to her feet and rose into the air. The benefits about flying, you didn’t have to run away from the enemy. She lingered in the air dodging the Sentinals attacks against her.

[Iceman]

Bobby was walking around looking past the trees and the brush when suddenly the sentinels decided to attack. The ground shook like an earthquake and knocked him and Rogue off their feet. He glanced at Rogue and saw her start flying. He climbed up off the ground and started running from the attacking sentinels.

As Bobby ran he turned around once in a while to fire ice shots at the on coming attacks from the sentinels. While Bobby was running he didn't turn around in time and was thrown off of feet and about twenty feet away. He had missed one of the missiles that the sentinels were shooting at him. He climbed up off the ground, turned around and shot large jets of ice from both hands at one of the sentinels.

[Rogue]

Rogue came to a screeching halt in the air and turned around flying towards the sentinals. If talking to them wasn’t going to do anything then her fists were going to do that talking for her. She went head on against one of the three sentinals. She was blowing one punch after the other against in the chest area. The thing about the MK II was that they had a healing factor in a way. They could repair themselves very quickly and that’s what it was doing at the moment. However Rogue continued to punch blows at them as quickly as she could. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough. Finally the sentinel seemed to have grown tired of her and flung her away like a pesky bug. For the force delivered against her, she went flying across the air and slammed into a tree.

[Iceman]

The sentinel that Bobby was trying to freeze didn't seem to be slowing down any. Bobby took a different approach. He was fighting and dodging the sentinels missiles left and right. Iceman hid behind a tree until the sentinel landed and started looking for him. He climbed up a tree as quietly and as quickly as he could.

He jumped onto the back of the sentinel and began trying to freeze the sentinel's head and neck. Even though he was doing his best to stop the sentinel it wasn't enough. The sentinel started twisting and turning, trying to buck Bobby off him. It was slowing down from the ice building up on its neck and head; however, the sentinel reached up and grabbed Bobby in his hand and threw him to the ground. The sentinel took off as Bobby recovered from being thrown to the ground.

[Rogue]

At least Rogue wasn’t the only one who was thrown to the ground. She tried as quickly as she could. Dodging a few attacks that the sentinals made against her. She quickly made her way over to Iceman. She stood guard once more standing next to Bobby. The two of them needed a plan fast. The whole splitting apart and doing there own thing wasn’t working.

“Wouldn’t have a plan by chance?” she asked Bobby.

[Iceman]

Bobby got up off the ground. His body ached a little from being slammed by the sentinel. He saw Rogue run over to him and heard her say,

“Wouldn’t have a plan by chance?”

He agreed they needed a plan, and fast. they couldn't keep trying to attack the sentinels by themselves and hope to win. It just wasn't going to happen. "Give me a minute to think." Bobby said and began walking backwards. "And until we come up with something...may I suggest we Run?" He grabbed her arm and started running towards a heavily wooded part of the hologram. As he ran he started musing aloud.

"Well," Bobby began, "we could try sneaking up on one. Either you or I could distract it while the other tries to take it out., somehow." He said looking and rubbing his neck. After he had brought his hand back down he said, "I'm just spitballin' here. I don't really know what to do. I haven't gone against this type of sentinel before."

[Rogue]

"I'm just spitballin' here. I don't really know what to do. I haven't gone against this type of sentinel before."

“Yeah me either.” She replied. “Ah can’t quite remember but Ah know one o’ us X-Men took one down. Ah think Cyke…”

She stayed hidden with Bobby behind the tree. Her mind was racing for some kind of plan to come up with. Her mind was drawing a blank. She observed the Sentinals as they tried looking around for the two X-Men. She knew they were going to be found quick since they had a mutant detector on them.

“Maybe if ya freeze some part o’ it Ah can smash it… maybe…” She said.

[Iceman]

“Maybe if ya freeze some part o’ it Ah can smash it… maybe…”

"That sure sounds like we should try it. Just tell me what part you want me to freeze." Bobby said to her.

He lowered the temperature and his body was covered with his organic ice. This was his most powerful form and he figured that if they were going to win he should do whatever it takes to figure out how to beat these machines.

"What part do you think would be easiest to get at and cause some damage?"

[Rogue]

Honestly Rogue didn’t think that far ahead of the plan. She thought Bobby would come up with the rest. As Bobby turned into organic ice it seemed the minute that happened the sentinals detected the both of the. As quickly as she could she reached over to grab Bobby so that she could lift the both of them out of danger.

“How ‘bout wherever Ah drop ya? You just freeze it?” she told Iceman.

[Iceman]

Bobby waited for Rogue to answer him. As soon as he turned into ice the sentinels found where they had been hiding. Rogue reached over, grabbed Bobby and said,

“How ‘bout wherever Ah drop ya? You just freeze it?” Rogue reached for Iceman and he reached out for her as well.

"Sounds good. Let's go." Bobby replied with a sense of urgency in his voice.

[Rogue]

In a quick instance Rogue lifted the two of them in air before a sentinal blew up the tree they were hiding behind. After a few minutes of dodging and avoiding the seninals she was finally able to get behind on of them. She lifted Iceman right behind one of the sentinals head and dropped him without warning. She really didn’t have time to give him a warning and she prayed that he was quick enough to land on the huge beast just right as they planned.

[Iceman]

Rogue and Bobby's hands connected just in time for her to sweep them up into the air and away from the ground where the sentinels had just blown away. As they flew higher, dodging attacks from the sentinels, he held on tighter to Rogue's hand.

Without waring she let go of Bobby's hand and he fell towards the sentinel below them. Rogue had managed to get behind one of the sentinels. At first Bobby was taken by surprise from the sudden drop. Only a few seconds into the fall, he had figured out what was happening and had control of the situation. He landed on top of the sentinels head. "Ooofff." Bobby said getting a little winded.

As Bobby started sliding down the robot he cooled the air around him to 30 degrees. He, himself, was actually colder than the air around him; however, he needed it cold enough for what he was trying to do to take effect. As he was sliding down the back of the sentinels head which started to freeze. Bobby continued sliding and freezing. Every part of Iceman was freezing the sentinel. As part of the sentinel froze it spread to other parts of the sentinels head and neck. "Try it now Rogue." He yelled to her. Holding on to prevent himself from being throw off the sentinel. He was holding on at the base of the neck and kept the parts that were frozen that way.

[Rogue]

With a rough 180 turn Rogue sped through the air towards the frozen head of the sentinal. She swung her fists at the sentinal’s head forcing it to shatter. The plan seemed to work as the headless sentinal feel to its knees and lay dead on the ground.

“It worked! One down, two to go.”

She yelled at Bobby swooshing down towards him with her hands extended so he could grab a hold of her once more.

[Iceman]

Bobby rode the sentinel down to the ground as Rogue smashed the sentinel without any problems. He smiled and said, "Yes!"

“It worked! One down, two to go.” rogue said.

"Lets go again." Bobby said. He climbed on top of the sentinels back so that he was closer to Rogue. She swooped down and held out her arms. He raised his arms into the air.

The two connected with each other. Iceman held on tight as soon as he felt her touch him. Once again they took off into the air dodging attacks from the sentinels. He waited until Rogue got up to another sentinel. This time he was prepared for when Rogue let him go.
