Gwen bit her lip. She didn't feel she was in the state of mind to attack someone who had been kind to her, yet stern in the ways one should be. With a deep, cleansing sigh, Shockwave held out her arms.
"Then link that, to your target, me."
The young woman winced. She wasn't especially eager to unleash something she knew absolutely nothing about. But Raven wouldn't ask for this if she weren't ready for it, right? Another sigh. "I hope you're sure about this!" Gwen cried, feeling an intense wave of heat grow from her shoulder blades up to her palms. It was as if Gwen was attempting to clench water in her fists-- this static was going to escape.
Without hesitation, Shockwave narrowed her eyebrows in attempt to visualize her power as Raven had ordered. Immediately, the two were at the abandoned island Gwen had saw before. The palm trees that had aligned themselves along the shore when creating the shield inched themselves to the opposite side. It was almost as if the trees represented a source of support or power. As their roots pulled them through the sand, they began to rattle; at this, Gwen clenched her jaw and felt power fly right through her-- Her eyes flashed gold. Darts. The power took the form of darts going to hit the dart board, aimed at the lower point of Raven's hood. Darts. Gwen's eyes widened.
"No, wait!!" Gwen called, unable to pull the electricity back to her body. She had no idea how the darts where going to pierce Raven. Would they? Gwen's eyes continued to reflect a dull gold; she couldn't break out of her phase.

Raven watched Sparky closely as she prepared herself to attack. The caped hero sensed a lot of hesitation from her counterpart in training, but as she watched, Shockwave stealed herself and did as she was told.
Though Raven spent her days traveling from the world around her to the relms of thought, she always thought it strange to watch somebody else reach within their minds to use their powers or for other reasons. With a sharp eye and careful to keep her shield ready, Raven was never the less taken by surprise when from Gwen's upraised fists came an organized spray of electrical darts.
In the last second, Raven flung her shield up and the attack was absorbed into its darkness. However, when Raven looked back up at Shockwave, she was shocked to see Gwen's eyes still glowing a dull bronze.
"Sparky!" Raven said loudly, commandingly, "Snap out of it!" However, since words would probably do nothing, Raven's fist started the crackle with power of it's own. Dark shadows collected around her hand until it was all you could see.
"You in there?" Raven asked, ready to attack if it turned out Gwen had lost control over her natural state.

Within Gwen's mind, the once desolate island began to slowly morph into black sand-- arms flew from the ground and pulled on Shockwave's hoodie-clad shoulders. Grips formed on her calves, wrists, and around her waist. It felt as if she was being pulled into quicksand that drained her energy as she restrained. When trying to break out of her shielded mind, Gwen merely found herself being drowned within her hysterical, frightened thoughts. While, in her mind, she waved her arms around, attempting to rid herself of the mysterious, threatening forms, she dropped her arms and fidgeted with her shirt. Her head raised and her eyes still weren't reverted back to their ashen state. Visible static climbed up her body continuously, as if she were sucking her power from the floor.
"Snap out of it! Are you in there?"
Raven's words vaguely laced in concern echoed throughout Gwen's mind. "What's going on, Raven?" She called, worriedly. In the room where the two were standing, Gwen was twitching and eventually fell to the floor. She continued to scream. "I can't get out!" Her eyes were illuminated with a sheen of gold, and they darted from what looked like wall to wall in the small bedroom. If Gwen was in a stable state of mind, all would agree that anyone would be able to make sense of this situation. She wasn't even in pain. Shockwave just found herself in a fit of fear-- and her body continued to spark and sputter with electricity.
ooc| I'm back! Hooray! xDD

((Youre back!!!! Huggles!))
At first there was no answer. Raven watched with wide eyes as slowly Sparky's whole body was slowly consumed with living electricity. The lights flickered on and off as if the red head was sucking the electicity out of the building. Gwen's cry echoed in Raven's mind and she made her decision. Dropping all her barriers and counterattacks she said into Shockwave's mind,
*just hold on. I'm coming in.*
Closing her eyes she made a gesture with her hands, and her shadow lept up, soaring through the air and into Gwen's body. Immedietly Raven was on the island of Sparky's mind. Palm tree's intertwined to form an inforced wall, and kneeling on darkened sand was Sparky.
Her whole body was acting like a giant conductor, there was so much electrical power being charged through her she looked like her own little lighting storm. Raven took a deep breath and began to move forward. Holding a hand out near the sputtering lighting, she begane to talk.
"Give me you're hand. I'll bring you back, but I need to touch you. It's okay, just hold out your hand. Don't worry."
Every second was precious, Raven was afraid that if this kept on Sparky would blow a fuse and burn herself out, probably ending in death.
"Just give me your hand."

Once Shockwave heard Raven's consolation, she immediately tensed. Raven entered Gwen's mess of a mind; however, Gwen felt the island lightening just with her presence. The other Teen Titan must have already been cleansing her mind without even doing anything. As the young woman held out her hand, Gwen shuttered. "Just-- Just don't get hurt, okay?" She called out to Raven as if she were extremely far away. There was so much noise. Noise from a rush hour street to absent-minded drills and lawnmowers. Gwen looked at her hand as she reached for Raven, and she saw the veins under her wrist pulsating a bright yellow. Something was wrong here.
"I'm scared I'm going to hurt you!" Gwen called hopelessly. After a very brief moment of concentration, she grabbed Raven's thin hand with as hard of a grip as she could. Hopefully Raven could take whatever could happen when the two made contact; Shockwave would never forgive herself if something were to happen to her.
Suddenly, the young woman with locks of scarlet relaxed, and she felt the frightening pulsating fade away. What was going on?

Shockwave reached out and grabbed Raven's hand. The caped woman held on as tight as she could. At the moment of contact, Raven felt a jolt of electrical energy flow through her, but then it was gone. Through her own and and into Sparky's, Raven slowly begane to eat the woman's fear, to help her relax.
And it worked, as soon as Gwen's tense muscles loosened her power began to fade and let her become herself again. Not letting go of the red head's hand, Raven stood and walked with her friend towards the edge of the island. As soon as the water lapped their feet, they were back in the bedroom, back to normal.
"Well," Raven said, "That was an adventure, now wasn't it?"

Once the cool, clear waters of the surrounding ocean surrounded the both of their feet, Shockwave felt an odd sensation of pressure. Gwen found herself holding her breath and clenching her eyelids shut up until the scarlet-haired young woman found herself able to breathe. She never let go of Raven's gloved hand. Gwen's knuckles bulged out of her small hands within the tightness of her grip on her friend's.
Ashen eyes widened and quickly darted across the room as Shockwave dropped her cling to Raven and soaked in the surroundings. Though the girl knew she had been in the room before, everything felt unfamiliar. When Gwen played back in her mind the events at the island, a pang of fear erupted in her thoughts. She never wanted to go back. Not until she was ready.
The young woman who was usually talkative and bright-eyed timidly placed a few strands of wavy, rebellious hair from the messy 'do that had formed from her practices. Within her mind, she imagined it as a door opening wide, shining a bright gold, while another door was immediately shut and locked. The thought was frightening; however, now was not the time to let her mind get the best of her. Gwen was already too far to give up now. With a heavy sigh, Gwen Stratford finally smiled to Raven. "Sure was! I feel..." She walked back to the door and turned to her friend as she continued, "Tired!" Exaggeratedly, Gwen waved her arms in the air like limp noodles and sunk to the floor. "You sure know how to give someone a work out." She mumbled with her face laying on the wooden flooring. "If I haven't lost three pounds because of this little escapade-- I'm going to complain!" Announced she as a fist raised up weakly. What was new? Gwen was going to complain, and Raven must have been used to it by now.

"It's a wonder you weren't thrown out of your home on day three, the way you complain." Raven groaned, sitting down on the floor, represssing the urge to pick Gwen up compleatly with her powers. People react in funny ways to being picked up by something the couldn't see.
Trying to figure out where to go from here, Raven finally said, "Let's take a break for a while. The trick to gaining control, is being able to easily come in and out of your island the same way you walk in and out of a doorway."
She heald up one hand as if to stop the complaints before they started. "I know, you never want to go back there again, but you're going to have to. Unless you want this to happen again and again. The first couple times you do it I'll spot you, but then you're going to have to do it on your own."
"Once you've got that you'll be able to call and control you're powers way more easily than you would like to believe."
Getting up stiffly, she began to walk out of the door. Stopping in the thresh hold, she turned back to Sparky saying,
"Hate to break it to you, but mental work outs don't help you loose wieght. Trust me, I've tried." Then she excited the room and walked to the kitchen, turning on the tea kettle for a drink.
Inside Gwen's mind she said telepathically, *I'm coming right back, so don't you dare touch my chocolate.*

Gwen let out a loud laugh at Raven's comment. "But complaining is so fun!" She said happily, sitting herself up and lengthening her back. Shockwave listened to Raven and nodded understandingly. It was true; if Gwen ever wanted to be able to harness her obviously unstable powers, then she'd have to get out of her comfort zone in order to do so. Sure, it was scary as hell, but the more she does it, the less scary it will become.
At Raven's words, Gwen gasped. "You've tried to lose weight with mental workouts? Woman, you're already a twig!" Gwen immediately walked forward to continue this lady-speak, but Raven left the room. She let out a content sigh. It must be weird for her to bounce back from that traumatizing experience so quickly. Turning her ashen gaze to a full body mirror against the wall, Gwen sat down and zoned out on herself. She was working so hard, but would she be able to act when the time comes for it? Shockwave reminded herself that she had absolutely no martial arts training. For a moment, she remembered a woman vaguely from her past thoughts-- Black Widow, right? She uses a gun-- maybe Gwen could seek that refuge. The thoughts seemed to run ad infinitum until she heard a voice in her mind.
"I'm coming right back, so don't you dare touch my chocolate."
Showing a bright, wide smile, Gwen called to her friend: "I won't!" She she'd hear her in the kitchen. Dropping her back so she lay flat on the floor, Gwen held her smile. It was nothing to worry about right now.

"Twig, huh?" Raven though to herself. Having made herself a cup of hot Chai tea, Raven strode back to her room, cape whispering by the tiled floor and her own pale ankles. Upon entering the room, she found Gwen lying on the floor.
"Comfortable?" she asked rhetorically. Walking past the red head, Raven settled in a small paupazaun ((sp?)) chair, and called the book she had been reading earlier to her. Settling down to read it wasn't until she had finished part two, that she looked back down at her charge.
Sparky was lying on the floor still with her eyes closed, to every apperence she was asleap. *let's try this again* Raven thougth to herself. Using her powers, an anciant claymore ((Big big sword)) unshiethed itself and hung suspended above Gwen, point down.
"You're being attacked." Raven said nonchalontly, saving her place in her book with a finger. "React, now."
