The Untouchables:

People have become familiar with the term at this point. When the war was declared, an army of superhumans was formed. Hundreds were a part of the group, starting with eighteen year olds and stretching outwards. Some volunteered, some were drafted, all become very close to one another. Many are returning home changed forever.

The Untouchable were ranked and categorized into fourteen regiments, based upon their age and powers. Regiment One was composed of the most powerful superhumans, whom served as leaders of the Untouchables. Regiment Fourteen was composed of those with limited powers and abilities, and were mostly reserve members.

Today the Untouchables are, for the most part, returning home..after spending just over a year serving the country.

Chapter One: The Beginning

I know this may sound crude, but I was glad when the war was finally declared, and pretty thrilled when I heard the news that the superhumans were being drafted into their own army. It was amazing really. Morale was high in the country, and the war caused an economic boom. Starks, Kords, Luthors and Waynes Industries dominated the industries market, and still do. It was a strange kind of war really, different than the others that had come before it.

Certain rogue states from within Iran, North Korea, Syria, and Venezuela attained nuclear power. They nuked parts of the world, starting with Saudi Arabia and Israel and stretching all the way to North America. Russia, China, the United States had to put a stop to the mayhem. They were the first to throw their names into the hats. They were the world powers. Other countries would eventually join them, when provoked.

Some parts of the world were destroyed, and for that reason I mourned. The rogue groups are still being stamped out, and the war is almost at an end. We, the Untouchables as we came to be known, did our part. Several of us killed, something I was unfamiliar with. Some of us became heroes, and some of us became rebels. As we return to our parts of the world, we find that things have changed. Villains have grown more powerful and more ruthless.

To be honest, I am scared for the future of the country. The war is almost over, but it feels like there will be a more internal kind of war. Again, I am scared.

The Untouchables Regiments:
--------------------------------------------
1. The leaders of the movement. People like Superman and Cyclops

2. Powerhouses, members with several powerful abilities.

3. Intelligence.

4. Mystics and Magicians.

5. Telepaths and telekinetics. Raven was second in command in this group.

6. Speedsters.

7. Stealth and Spies.

8. Assassins.

9. Elementals.

10. Scouts.

11.Technopathics. (Abilities to manipulate technology)

12. Weaponry Masters.

13. Combatants.

14. Reserve members with little to no powers.

Chapter Two: The Return

By now, over half of the groups of Untouchables have returned. Some are still proud of their involvement, some are shoving the experience to the back of their proverbial closets. Each will carry the events with them forever, though. That much can't be helped.

It is strange really, to have been a part of it all and to now be coming home. There are warm welcomes and harsh rejections. There are parades and protests. It all just depends on where you are, I suppose. The death tolls are slowly rolling in...and the majority of people are shocked. Throughout the hero community there are pangs of guilt and regret. We lost so many good men and women. I was horrified to learn that Charles Xavier, Mr. Fantastic, Scarlet Witch, Power Girl, Jean Grey, Terra, Pyro and more have been killed. There are certainly dark times to follow as we mourn our losses.
